Thanks, each time you want to play a stop shot it will depend on a few things. Distance, cloth speed etc. Further away from the object ball you may need to either strike it lower and firmer. Have a play around and you’ll get the feel of it in no time. Try and hit 5 perfect stop shots in a row then start changing the distance and vary the spin and stroke speed. A stop shot can also be very useful for safety play if you are trying to kill the cue ball behind another ball.
