Hi Macy great job on your farm and UA-cam site 👍🏼. I just got my first p1s and I love it and I been cleaning the plates with warm water and soap that’s all and it works great, enjoy and keep up the great work 😊
i dont know if you know this or not but bambu does sell a enclosure kit you can buy for your bambu p1p just search for enclosure in the store OR you can buy them piece by piece either way will work and will turn your p1p into a p1s i hope that helps!
You should be able to use Elmers disappearing purple glue sticks on your build plates. You can run the build plate underwater, and the glue wipes right off the plate. If it is working keep using it.
Use a Riser with the pegs to hold the top glass on the P1s, so you can keep the door closed and vent via the top when printing pla, also it stops the tool head ptfe tube from rubbing/wearing on the top glass. I’ve never used glue on the textured or hologram plates , usually jut need to adjust the bed temp. You may want to look in to a Panda touch from big tree to help manage all your printers . Congrats 🎉
I used to use glue stick or hairspray but yea. Clean with dawn dish soap and dry with rubbing alcohol and your good to go as long as you don't put your fingers all over the plates.

It seems like these containers were designed for 3D rolls as they are just all enough (versus the ones I saw in your video) to store the filaments. I have 13 of them mostly filled (I have a filament problem it seems) and more ready to be filled.

Thank you :) I love my printers. I use the bambu P1S combos and I have no cons haha. They're that good. They're fast, easy to use, easy to upgrade/work on, and the quality is incredible. Highly recommend.
Only thing I do is wash them with dishsoup once a week. Soup is good for getting oil off I don't know why ppl use alcohol to remove oils off the build plate. No glue. Do you use soup or alcohol to get oil of your hands??
For PLA or PETG, you don't need to use glue if you use a textured PEI sheet. Those things are AWESOME for adhesion. Wash with dawn soap once a week or as needed, and wipe with isopropyl frequently and you'll have great adhesion EDIT: PETG can stick too good to textured plates. I've had no luck getting PLA to stick to the textured PEI sheet that came with my Q1, as well as an "Energetic" build plate. Adding glue stick fixed the problem. The PLA was black from Anycubic. So... YMMV??? 🤔
Macy, your doing great! maybe you could expense a printer just for printing parts. for glue, currently I use the bambu green bottle glue because I hate random failures. do I always need it? no but when that last hour print gets knocked loose, I use adhesives.

If it works you can keep doing it but technically PEI shouldn’t need any glue or hair spray when clean. I also scrub my new plates with a scotch brite pad then clean it with soap and water. After that I use no glue and it sticks perfect and falls off when cool.
Glad it's going well! Was wondering where you went 😂 I was curious if you ever run into issues with the flat prints like I do. They seem to blob at the seams, but otherwise print normally. Have made some things to sell, but this is something I'd need to overcome before I can sell them.
@@macymakes3d I figured it out. When I use Orca Slicer instead of Bambu Studio, then enable Scarf Joint Seams, it pretty much removed the blobbing entirely for those flat prints that have multiple colors on the first layer, like coasters and such. I still use Bambu Studio for most things, though.
Macy, Could I ask you about the soft floor tile I saw in the new room. I was looking to do that. How is that working out and are you doing the whole floor? what brand did you use. Thanks you for your time.
Alcohol doesn't clean it. It disinfects it but just spreads around the oils. Use dish soap which is designed for cutting grease. Dish soap, warn water, clean wasg cloth, thorough rinse, micro fiber cloth to dry. No glue is needed. I wash all of my build plates every Sunday juat to be safe. Never have any adhesion issues.
I have a 1500 version and it will keep 3 printers running for about 20-30 min with no power. They’re great for short power outages or flickers but if it’s out for an extended time they’ll eventually die.
Oooh desiccant beads! Yes those are for keeping the filament dry when it’s in the AMS. They absorb moisture in the air. I don’t think they really help all that much but I still put them in there just in case.
Elmer's stick glue is the OG, it's still the go to, any one saying other wise is either ignorant or trying to sway at over priced glue sticks!!! just keep using it
Thanks! Here are the 2 I have amzn.to/4eLReQW and amzn.to/3VAG5to I have 3 printers hooked up to each and that will give me 20ish minutes of battery life if the power goes out.
@@macymakes3d Good Morning. I took the plunge and bought the same printer as you and love it. I'm making golf ball markers which look like poker chips. I say keep to your routine. Use glue as you always have. It wont hurt things and it will keep your way of doing things the same. Great content and keep the awsome work going. Congrats on working with other creators. I currently am getting my own biz off the ground and only have single color machines but if theres something you need help with prints of your own feel free to contact me. Networking is gold with me. And this community seems so open and not alot of hate.
I could probably make a whole video on this lol but I guess - the number one thing would be to make sure your prints are quality. You want people to have a good experience when buying from you.
I personally only use glue, only if the thing I am printing is having first layer issues. Once again personal opinion, as friends disagree, I feel that if you wipe down your build plate after each print with so IPA, it will allow stuff to stick better. When I do use glue, I tend to do a full wash down with soap and water to get it back to nothing on it, before printing again. I have found that everyone feels differently, so if glue works for you, then keep using it!
The bambu printers are amazing. I use the P1P and p1s and I love them. They’re low maintenance, they print fast with good quality, and can be upgraded to multi color if needed. Definitely my number one choice.

Macy, Could I ask you about the soft floor tile I saw in the new room. I was looking to do that. How is that working out and are you doing the whole floor? what brand did you use. Thanks you for your time.
Just yesterday I checked to see if you were still making videos.
Great content wish you all the best with the business, what risers are you using on the P1P printers? Thanks
This one :) makerworld.com/en/models/16530#profileId-15347
Alcohol doesn't clean it. It disinfects it but just spreads around the oils.
Use dish soap which is designed for cutting grease.
Dish soap, warn water, clean wasg cloth, thorough rinse, micro fiber cloth to dry.
No glue is needed.
I wash all of my build plates every Sunday juat to be safe. Never have any adhesion issues.
Congratulations on growing your farm. Which UPS did you go with.
I have a cyberpower 1500/900 and an Amazon one that’s supposed to be equivalent. I’ll probably keep buying the cyberpowers bc I can get them locally.
glad to see you back. Any estimate on the run time on ups backups? which model did you decide to go with? Been thinking about adding a couple.
I have a 1500 version and it will keep 3 printers running for about 20-30 min with no power. They’re great for short power outages or flickers but if it’s out for an extended time they’ll eventually die.
What shelving system did you go with?
i wish she talked about the beads more. What was that, what are they used for?
What beads are you talking about? I tried to skim through the video and find what you're talking about but wasn't able to.
@@macymakes3d At 7:20 in the video, you are talking about the Desiccant beads. You even left a link in the description to buy.
Oooh desiccant beads! Yes those are for keeping the filament dry when it’s in the AMS. They absorb moisture in the air. I don’t think they really help all that much but I still put them in there just in case.
@@macymakes3d You're the best. Thank you for the quick reply. Blessings to you and yours.
Like your videos how did you get started. If you don’t mind me asking what is your background?
I was a math teacher but I knew nothing about 3d printing when I started. Just bought a printer and started learning.
do you do the manual flow calibration everytime for a new filament?
Elmer's stick glue is the OG, it's still the go to, any one saying other wise is either ignorant or trying to sway at over priced glue sticks!!! just keep using it
Hi ! Another great video, by the way, I have a question for you, what UPS are your using ?
Thanks! Here are the 2 I have amzn.to/4eLReQW and amzn.to/3VAG5to
I have 3 printers hooked up to each and that will give me 20ish minutes of battery life if the power goes out.
Thank you. Do you use the PLA material
Yeah I primarily print with PLA
@@macymakes3d Good Morning. I took the plunge and bought the same printer as you and love it. I'm making golf ball markers which look like poker chips. The only problem Im having is since I'm using the textures plate, the bottom of the part is textured. Would the smooth plate help getting rid of the texture? Thanks for your help.
How did you make the connections to print for someone with a successful product?
I have a budding print farm of 6 machines and I really want a partner that just does the design work. is there a market place for such a thing?
Cool video!
Crazy how you start so small and now you’re just SCALING
This is inspiring. If any one thing what advice can you give to someone who wants to start a successful 3d printing farm?
I could probably make a whole video on this lol but I guess - the number one thing would be to make sure your prints are quality. You want people to have a good experience when buying from you.
@@macymakes3d thanks Macy! I'll keep at it. Gotta build myself a new printer stand soon!
I have found that everyone feels differently, so if glue works for you, then keep using it!
personally never needed glue for pei textured.
was the A1 not efficient?
I sold it about 2 weeks before the recall happened. The guy I sold it to said it’s been working fine though
Must be because A1 takes so much space with the AMS.
Hi, Macy: Thanks for your videos! Quick question.... what's the best 3d printer to purchase for a newbie print farmer?
The bambu printers are amazing. I use the P1P and p1s and I love them. They’re low maintenance, they print fast with good quality, and can be upgraded to multi color if needed. Definitely my number one choice.
Checkout 3dque! You so need it dude. Perfect for queuing (and even auto ejecting) for you bambu’s :)
What happened to the A1 Combo? You're not using it?
I sold it just before the recall. I didn’t like the workflow in bambu studio having different printers. Having all P1s makes things easier.
are you going to do P1P to P1S upgrade for your printers?
I haven't planned on it, but it might make a cool video so maybe... :)
