@@BuilttoFish the thing is that you’ve gone onto such detail but not waffled on like some do, bang straight to the point hey … recon I subb’d in the first couple of minutes
We hooked a giant blue fin yesterday. 30 miles out of San Francisco golden gate . Was about 5 ft long we fought it for an hr finally loosing him next to the boat . What an experience
This was really an awesome explanation with a great focus on the "Recreational Fisherman". Here in the Northeast USA (Maine), we have the Recreational Bluefin (72 inches). When you wet a line here, you just never know what you are gonna get hooked to. Learned some good skills/techniques on what to include for a set-up. Your clear spot-on presentation style is greatly appreciated. Eliminating the fluff and ego, with a bit of Kiwi accent, what more could a viewer ask for.
Nah mate, no need. Tuna have soft mouths so they are easy to hook You are better off running heavy gauge hooks for the extra strength and they will be less likely to tear out.
Interesting aye, guess they are more spread out than most people think. Glad to hear you guys still pick em up at slower speeds - might save me a few bucks on fuel!
Mate I loved this vid, bloody comprehensive … champion 👍
Thanks a lot mate, great to hear you enjoyed it.

No problem at all, thanks for watching!
Do you run light gauge hooks at all for SBT?
Nah mate, no need. Tuna have soft mouths so they are easy to hook You are better off running heavy gauge hooks for the extra strength and they will be less likely to tear out.
@@BuilttoFish Good way to look at it
How do you get tuna to feed when sunning or only feeding on creel
What hooks are you using? I assume heavy not light gauge?
Nah mate, no need for lightgauge on Tuna, they have soft mouths!
