FYI suckling pig in Hong Kong is typically considered a "fine" dish and eating at banquets. The appeal is mainly 1) the presentation of the whole pig, and 2) the "lightness" as you mentioned, in terms of the thinner, crispy skin, and the finely layered meat and fat, which is thinner than a more pig, and as such is less seasoned (you're meant to taste the pig). It's usually paired with thin wraps (either thin buns like those found with Peking duck, or thin, chewy, unleavened wraps) along with some combination of green onions, leeks, and cucumbers, and a hoisin-like sauce.
For a similar, more flavorful pork dish that pairs much better with rice (imo), siu yuk is definitely the way to go.

There are actually wild cows in Hong Kong, especially on Lantau island. They do not belong to a farm or anything like that and just roam around in nature. By the way, you should visit Macau (either a 1-hour ferry ride from Central Hong Kong or 30-minute bus ride from Tung Chung on the world's longest bridge).

Jan if you like egg tart, might be worth it to go to Macau “Vegas of the east” to try the Portuguese egg tart they are sweeter and looks burnt on top.

there are so many cows cuz in the past village used them to loosen the soil, and now, the villages don't farm anymore so the cows are set free, that's why there are so many cows in Lantau island

Quantity of land in Tung Chung and Ngong Ping used to be farmland and so a lot of cows which were abandoned by farmers are still living in there wildly (I supposed that there are people taking care of them).

Did you shoot that drone footage at the Buddha? Was curious about drone laws in other countries. Where it’s ok to fly…wheee it’s not.
That shot we got from a licensed website called “envato”. But everytime i fly a drone in a different country, i would just read and do my research if its safe to fly or not. I also have a mini 3 dji drone soo its easier to fly in other countries cus i dont need a permit for it cus its under 249grams.
