another place from when I lived i Sheffield , used to have some quality tench in it plus masses of skimmers and quality roach , dont remember many carp in it but in some used have some good bags of roach on waggler and maggot , feeding balls of sticky mag fishing shallow
@markwalton.sooooowrong1578 No mate, you can steadily get your gear around the place,a cross the path at the side of the dam wall, then along the path above the pegs, getting down to the pegs is the tricky part. 👍👍
It's a fishery that you dont know what you're going to catch, stocked with the usual coarse fish, including barbel.Tricky access down to some pegs, especially on the far bank.Summer time and school holidays can be a nightmare especially on the dam wall side, wild water swimming by the youngsters. On the far bank people fly drones and model aeroplanes can be noisy.Usually have a few matches through the year. This place doesn't stock the hugh weights of fish that are found in equivalent size waters( commercials)and dont exspect massive carp ever cast. But worth a try,to to say you have been. Not my go to place,25 minutes for me aswell, not worth the trip in my honest opinion.👍🤝
Looks a great place. I reckon with a bit of feeder work or some finesse waggler fishing I could find a net head of roach. I know some silvers have been removed but it’s not a scratch on the fish that get missed during netting. I’ll see, but a nice looking venue on its day🎣 What area are you from Barry?
@thatson01 Not far from you, I try fish difo places at least a couple a year( you have given me several).I used to live towards the north of Sheffield years ago, lots of places out that end, and Barnsley.I just ask the older lads politely when I see them fishing, and they are a gold mine of knowledge, just soak it up🤝👍
Been here a few times pal but from March next year it's going up to 80 pounds not 40 was talking to bailiff. Good video tho.
