I’m not a big whip angler but it’s mildly enjoyful. Ok I loved it!!

I’ve got a few of them Avons matey, and I really need to get out and use them. Shakespeare and Browning definitely had the market by the nuts back in the day. Quality tackle🎣

Makes the session a whole lot more pleasurable when it takes 8 seconds to load the car back up. I enjoyed it that much I’ll be doing more of it matey🎣

That’s not a bad shout that mate. We’ve got a kitchen draw full of knitting needles and bloody chopsticks. I have over 30 motorcycle and car engines in the yard too so I’m definitely in a good place to get creative 😂

Such great comfy boxes to be sat on aren’t they. You do forget you’re sat on it it’s that convenient. It is bit of a cumbersome rod and it was a heavy swing tip too. But yes, your TD Combo would have really set my style alight lol. I’m sure I’ll be back to master it soon Mike matey👏🏼🎣

I’ve not bad mouthed the fishery owner as the owners at the time of this video wanted the current fishery manager out so they could reinstate a new one. Shortly after this video the fishery manager left, shut his tackle shop and moved on. The fishery owners then gave the lease to Embryo Family Fishing who have since turned the venue into a safer environment for everybody. Fishing is about community, correct, but if it was down to the full angling community to tidy up somebody else’s mess and it still wasn’t done then we have a bigger problem. Also my children being threatened to be assaulted at a charity event on a public platform was a huge safety concern. Not one of the “community” stood up for them and the “community” fishery manager agreed banning the perpetrator for threats to harm children at the venue wasn’t fair on the perpetrator. I’m happy making enemies with people who agree against safety and basic common sense. There’s angling communities and then there’s the previous lease holders. Not a fine line at all sir. But I’m no enemy maker matey. It’s a lot easier to unlock your female toilets, clean your litter up, offer a safe environment for everybody and not have water dripping out of a live hand dryer👍🏼😂

Also it was recommended to my by a venue regular match angler who wanted me to do a review of the place. Just thought I’d slip that in too👍🏼

Probably the biggest banana I’ve seen in a pole lol. But yes mate, completely agree. There’s some really tatty tackle out there on the market but it’s only tatty because we compare it to the best. Everybody can purchase the highest spec tackle if they really wanted to, but where’s the fun in that! I think some 40 year old swing tip fishing for Roach is on the cards next👏🏼

Cheers mate, Tackle prices are ludicrous! And ultimately we’re paying for a newer option or maybe a bit of weight reduction. Either way there’s still some great fishing to be had on some classic gear👏🏼

I was gutted mate🤣. Bailiff told me that last year the lake had a huge fish kill. Which explained nearly 50 Perch on the best Skimmer mix money can buy 😂😂😂 So if you’re after a mix that will catch you bags of perch in a venue where there’s no skimmers, Skimmer & Bream Natural will work💪🏼

In all honesty mate one of them is nearly a bare feeder now after spending a year in the method box. Could do with a few extra drops of hardener in the mix when they produce them👍🏼

Many people have said the same thing mate. I’m not one to carry the theory but sometimes history speaks louder than the present.

I remember stories of chaps hooking some big carp on corn all them years ago. Be nice to see some of those Carp, Crucians and Tench today.

It’s actually really nice flat tarmac half way down with just a few dips here and there. A fabia will do just fine down there buddy. They’re not deep and it’s completely harmless to cars. I was surprised as the last time I went you needed your belt on otherwise you’d be out the window lol. If you go down Barry let me know how you get on. Millions of fish showing today and a pint of maggots or a few slices of bread will keep the net handle warm👏🏼

@thatson01 Went 15 years ago,nut cases on bikes, dog crap all over the place,but caught decent Crucians under The Tree you mentioned.Did the problem at CCAA Wingerworth pond problem get resolved.

@@barryanthonywing4848 it was a rough area back then but over the years the council have focussed on housing people with new families and busy working people. It’s certainly worked because Carr Vale as a whole is much calmer than it used to be. I’m yet to find out about the wall pond. I may have to do a revisit as I’m curious also. But we’ve had plenty of rain since my visit and it was in desperate need of less sun and more water.

I did mate, it was the late 90’s I first fished it but then started going back up again in the early 2000’s having found interest in the match scene. A local chap to me was pretty much the hottest angler around at the time and learned loads from him especially how to find those monster Tench. It’s an incredible venue when it’s fishing right and I’d definitely be up for a days Tench finding on the place again. Definitely good times Rob, plenty more years left to create more good angling memories brother 👏🏼🎣

Hopefully now I’ve done a video of Harthill they’ll get that place sorted too. I gotta give it to ‘em, they got it tidied up fast👏🏼

Not silty at all mate. It’s actually quite firm and you’ll find hard bottom around most of the lake Rob👏🏼

They’re really good at the work parties mate so my guess is the club will have been told to pause maintenance until it’s resolved. Not great for the fish but it makes sense from a legal and political point of view. But yes, I’d be wanting to get waist deep and clearing out too.

@@barryanthonywing4848 a chap cane out from the local houses saying a farmer who’s field is near the outlet to the pond isn’t happy. Then there was a huge blockage which saw the pond flood and fill all the local houses with water. From this there’s now a dispute in place between him and the council meaning the club will be limited to maintenance work. Makes sense otherwise if anything else goes wrong the farmer will use that to his advantage too. When it’s all settled I dare say work will continue as normal as it’s a quick and easy job.

It’s stunning mate. Considering its location it’s easy for waters like this to fall victim to asbo damage but it’s got a strong club behind it to help keep it at bay. I really need to start taking tackle with me on these visits lol.

Cheers matey, It kills me to walk past it. I was sure the rest of the lake would be litter free. I’ll have to start taking a bag with me and picking up bits on my travels. It’s nice walking away knowing you’ve prevented somebody else from bending down for it 👍🏼
