Make a Masters Class on the 450's. I don"t want to see these legends risk it racing a bunch of eager teenagers. I want to see the guys who already earned it race each other for fun, & bragging rights to a series title. I would pay more a ticket to see them yet.
In the early 80's I attended the Suzuki school of mx at Carlsbad. The bomber was out there practicing on his 125 and he had that bike wide open the whole way except for just a second when he was braking. You could hear the pitch of the engine as he rounded the track. It was the most amazing shit I've ever heard in my life...
I really liked your intensity and I could tell you had some good lines where you would make up time on a few guys. Some of those newer Husky/KTM really haul the mail! Shame no Kawi's or TM's that I saw. Was really hoping to see you. I appreciate what you do for the sport both on and off the track. At least I was there to watch the race! Keep on keeping on Ping!
6:14 I can say from experience (especially when the track was clay), that those little off camber downhills into the right hander are trickier then they look. Hard to find the balance to just dive into them.
Ping: "Hey Mitch! Can you built me a 125 for the 125 all star race at Red Bud?" Mitch: "You are going to race a 125, really? Your not 150lbs ya know, anymore. But I will supply you a bike for the race. Just don't tell anybody that the bike came from me, Deal?" So Ping never thanked Mitch.
Actually, on the average with outdoor tracks, the inside and outside almost all of the time end up being the same speed, if both done optimally. On SX tracks today, you can't use the inside line if you can get the speed for the rhythm section, (a section that keeps everybody the same speed), and that is why we see a lot of block passing, that does not have to be done on the outdoor tracks, because you have the option of the inside line, (which also prevents a block pass). But with Pings butt on that 125,---he should have been railing the outside. Yep. :)
Man that 125 is struggling, and we know it is not a stock bike. Ping would never race a stock 2-stroke 125, no way. If a 125 is the "pony" of the horse world, Ping would be arrested for cruelty to animals. I bet it is funny watching him get on that tall bike though. :) Ever notice you don't see vid of people getting on their bike much anymore? lol
How in the hell can we watch the Whole race ? This go pro shit is super annoying ! The first person to televize or somehow film this entire race would get so much publicity!
This is pretty cool I wanna take my bike out for a track day and post it on my channel but I also eventually wanna get a dirtbike for trail rides!! Check it out see if you like streetbikes too?!
Very impressive for a retired rider. Racing against much younger riders, and most likely, more fit...
David Pingree we want more..👍👍👍

Dude in the blue/orange gear riding like a factory contact was on the line. He was making his own whiskey throttle show.

Hey ping might of wanted to hook a tow strap to Weys bike. Good to see you out there still getting it in. Just kidding bout that strap. Brapp
Where's the Mike Laroco interview damn it!
Ping: "Hey Mitch! Can you built me a 125 for the 125 all star race at Red Bud?"

This makes me want to get a roll of duct tape patch up the knee, wrist, elbow, bicep, the other wrist and get back out there on a 2 stroke!!
I wonder how much start money he got?
Races a 125, takes inside lines everywhere 🤷♂️

bike seems really slow...
A 200lb rider will do that to any 125. The sand makes it even worse.

That guy in the blue/orange gear is sketchy. His bike setup or his body position is super bad. That bike is all over the place
