So much weird stuff in this. It's like the audience hear a completely different contest. The crowd were absolutely wild for Blind Channel and that Ukrainian lady. Theres literally thousands of people in those arena's and the opinion of thousands is a very good metric for popularity.
Thus something is certainly wrong with the voting process when the best songs are not winning on a yearly basis.
Last time the best song actually won was 2006...
I feel like the best song has consistently won every year. I can always predict which song is going to win. (only one I personally did not like was that Israelian chicken song)
The crowd also loved måneskin and they won the televote. This is probably one of the only years where the publics favourites all got into the top 10.
@@JadedKatewell unfortunate for you, israel on 2018 was the best winner after Norway 2009 and Greece 2005.
