I made this 6 years ago on watching ur video! It was a big hit! My bro remembered this n asked for this again. So I came back to watch this! Much luv❤️❤️❤️
Just awesome. Watched the video in the morning shopped all the ingredients in the afternoon and evening I am going to make it. It's beautiful and delicious creamy and juicy for sure..Thanks so much for the lovely receipe
I made this and it was a big hit.. I love mangoes and love this recipe. thank you. My sponge cake rose quite well that I was able to split it into two and make a layered mousse cake. It was delicious! do you think ill be able to make this in cupcake form (bake sponge cupcakes and then fill with the mousse)?
all the food you make looks so delicious you should make a cookbook or something to put all these recipes in i would definitely buy one, it could be like merch
I halved the recipe to fit a 6-inch pan (used 2 eggs) and it was SO GOOD!! Rather than using store bought jello, I dissolved 1 tsp gelatin in 1.5 tbsp water then added it to 1/4 cup mango purée. Just a minor thing I noticed though, the cake was a bit dry. Not sure if there's any specific cause, but I'll try soaking it in more mango nectar next time.
Thanks for sharing the recipe! It reminds me a lot of my hometown, there were mango trees almost everywhere around the city. I'll make this for my friends to bring back some memories
Hi Judy! Yes, you can make it ahead of time but I recommend keeping it in the refrigerator. I'm not sure how well it would freeze but it will be great in the fridge for even 4 to 5 days. Just keep the cake in the spring form pan!
so love it!!! my fault was to keep it refrigerated overnight and made the jelly on top became curdly but still it was a hit! will try it again for sure... thank you again Tatyana ♡♡♡
Hello, I would like to do a twist please let me know if this will work fine. I want to use this recipe but make the mango cake the same way you did your lemon cake… should I stick to the sponge cake recipe or Vanilla cake you used in the Lemon cake recipe?!
I love her reaction to tasting the cake...lol there is literally no way I'm not making this cake not missing out on the heaven she just experienced lol
Hi Tatyanas, thanks for the recipe. It took me 3 times to get to perfection. Because you did not mention to add the hot gelatin into the batter. So I waited for some time and than added, it got lumpy. Than I watched the video 2nd time and u did not mention, so I added the hot gelatin and mixed it. Thanks it turned out good. I wish I could send you a picture.!!! 😊😊
Hello Tatyana this is one of the most amazing cakes I've ever seen!!! I wanted to ask can I not use whipped cream cheese? I don't have that in my country...
You're very welcome! Hope you love it! I don't have a vegan version of this, but if it's the gelatin part, you can use agar gelatin in place of conventional gelatin.
wow! ur a true eg. of "beauty wid brains". pls pls pls cn U help me wid the stablised whipping cream? I hv tried very hard hwever, yet Im unable to gt it firm enough for decorating.
Glad you enjoyed it! For the top jello layer, you can use mango but for the mousse layer, I would stick with unflavored. The amount of gelatin may be different...
Hey Tatyana. I am not fan of gelantine. Gelantine make a cake to look great but feel a cake like gumi I don't like. If I use less gelantine just one blat can this cake feel more like creamy and not like gumi? Is possible to work without gelantine or less?
Hi! For this recipe, less gelatin won't work very well. The mousse layer might not set up properly. This mousse is very light and airy and not gummy like in some cakes. I think you'll find it delicious :)
so I made the strawberry one and just wondering if it possible to freeze the mouse filling ran out time to make a second cake and want to be able to make it for mothers day
And dear your springform pan how deep is ? As it does not look like normal available 9" springform ? And dear if I nee to make sponge cake so can I just make double to get one nice sponge cake as this single recipe is very thin ? Thanks
+samina khurram And lastl question how many tablespoons this unflavored gelatin as I have my special gelatin ( halal ) so I need to know in tablespoons thanks
Thankyou for all your beautiful recipes. I just learnt how to make a really simple mango mousse (like a pudding but with cream). But I will definately try your mousse cake. Shulay from Australia
Hi...i was thinking of making mango jello from scratch using Mango juice and gelatin...could you please temme how much gelatin should i add to set 1 cup of juice
Hi! That would be delicious, too! I would go with 1 tablespoon of gelatin. Make sure to dissolve the gelatin in boiling water, or mix it with water, then microwave until dissolved (about 30 seconds)
thanx, I'm making my friend a baby shower cake theme and she's having a boy I just did not know how to incorporate this type of cake which is her favorite into a nice, fondant decorative cake.. thank you so much for your help. and thank you for your quick response
Hi, I tried making it and it turned out pretty good. however , the mousse part was too runny. I used agar agar instead of gelatin. I think my measurement for agar agar wasn't right. can you please tell me how much water and agar agar to use to get the right consistency. I want to try it again. thanks
Hi! Sorry that your first attempt didn't work well! Try using 1 tablespoon agar with 1/3 cup water. You'll need to cook this mixture in a small saucepan until the mixture thickens, then add
TatyanasEverydayFood thank you so much for replying back. I will try it again :) I checked your website ; all your recipes look amazing. can't wait to try another one
Hi Tatyanas, thank you for a such a wonderful recipe. If I want to reduce the cheese amount to half, can I keep the same amount of other ingredients or do I have to adjust accordingly? I just want try a less cheesy flavour. Thank u and pls keep making more recipes.
Hmm, that's a great question. I'm not sure how that would work but you may need to add more gelatin if you remove half of the cheese... Let me know if it turns out!
Um..so you mean the cheese does play part of the role helping to firm the mousse part? may be I will have to compare yours and the recipes without cheese to see the different amount of gelatin used in each recipe. Thanks Tatyana for your quick reply.

Hello😊 How many grams would 1 packet of gelatine be??
Hi! One packet is about 7 grams. You'll need 14 grams total for the mousse layer.
Wow , dear is normal room temperature eggs make a difference compare to fridge ones ?
And dear your springform pan how deep is ? As it does not look like normal available 9" springform ? And dear if I nee to make sponge cake so can I just make double to get one nice sponge cake as this single recipe is very thin ? Thanks

beautiful cake! can you make tres leches cake either chocolate or regular milk. Thank you.
Hi, can I just use mango juice for the mousse? we don’t have that kind of mangoes here in Scotland and the mango here is not good it’s a bit sour
Can you find mango puree? That would work better. I think juice would be too thin
Proud New Suscriber!Love your recipes!

Awesome cake!! Can i use aggar aggar in stead of gelatine?
+Jaoued Boussefaouan Yes, agar is the perfect substitute! :)
I love the recipe. Would I be able to put the jelo layer on the spong with the mousse ontop. I want to mirror glaze the cake.
The jello would soak right through the sponge cake. You could make it without the jello layer and it will still be good :)

Hi, if I use store brought mango purée then how much purée is to be used?
It's about 1 1/2 cups, even 2 cups will work :)
