I tried this and try with Indian kesar or alphonso mango puree. You will feel the real mango taste and I made a small change in the cake. I beat the egg white and add it to rest of the ingredients. That made the cake a bit light. It tasted so good:)

It's a very delicious cake! Thanks for watching! The mango whipped cream frosting is very soft. I personally wouldn't apply fondant on this cake. If you have to have fondant, I would use the mango frosting on the inside only and use a buttercream frosting on the outside.

Use a large baking sheet for baking the sponge cake, then roll it immediately after removing it from the oven. The cake needs to be hot while it's rolled so it doesn't break. Let the cake cool, then unroll, fill and reroll. Enjoy! :)
It's so delicious!! :) It's a fairly soft cake but it will travel as long as the road isn't too bumpy! I recommend refrigerating the cake overnight before traveling. :)
All grease questions! I do not recommend greasing the pans for this sponge cake recipe. Any grease can cause the cake to go flat. Parchment paper is really the best option. I applied a crumb coat and then another light coat of frosting. And tinned mango puree will also work well. Enjoy! :)

Hi! This cake is very delicious but it is on the softer side. I don't recommend making a 2-tier version of this one. If you want to use a different frosting, I recommend by Italian or French buttercream. Once those have set in the refrigerator, they are very stable

In the plain sponge cake recipe it says 200g or 1 cup sugar But in the mango cake recipe the sponge cake says 150g or 1 1/2 cup sugar. Should i follow the one in grams or the one in cups? Hello! ^_^ i have a question with regards to the recipe written on the website.
In the plain sponge cake recipe it says 200g or 1 cup sugar
But in the mango cake recipe the sponge cake says
150g or 1 1/2 cup sugar.
Should i follow the one in grams or the one in cups? Because they are different. Thank you!!
