Yeah I have a few spare throttle bodies laying around to mess with. Those IAC's are in there tight!!

I noticed my car had a surging high idle so I covered the hole in the video, and it would idle pretty low for 1 second and stall out. Would you suggest I turn that valve in?

I was suspecting this was my case since I couldn’t find a vac leak and the rpm surges between 1200 and 850. Im going tighten my down see if that helps I also coudnt find that replacement only just an entire throttle for 200+

Yeah it'd a tough one. As far as I can tell not much is available from toyota or aftermarket anymore as far as throttle body goes. I wonder is that little part will ultimately be what makes these have an end date rather than perpetually rebuildable like a classic car is.

Awesome videos! I’m about to purchase a 2nd gen as well with the 3.0 engine and I was just wondering some things that you would recommend I do when I first get the car? I plan to maintain and take absolute care of this car while still off-roading but I don’t know where to start and the first things to do. Thanks! Keep up the awesome work!

Probably start with a good tune up and fluids and filters. Grease all the zero fittings. Check out driveline and steering/suspension components for wear. Good luck and have fun!!

Good to see you with another up load!! My 94' 4Runner is in perfect running order with just under 200,000 miles. I'll probably grab another throttle body from the junk yard just in case I'm unable to get one in the future. Easy fix if that idle control valve is removable on easy terms. Only thing I need to do is tighten a heat shield that vibrates a bit when first start up when it's cold, rattle goes away shortly after warm. I assume it's not the valves. I'll get to tightening it up soon.
      Thx
