I feel meh about it, we saw more simple domain than an actual domain, I wanted to see yuki’s DE, uraume, nobara etc and we didn’t get them.
Nobara cant get a domain. 99% of sorcerers dont have a domain expasion.

Anyway, megumi was the youngest to have one (at 15), on his first try and without any training.

That's because it is the opposite of the normal ability, so for sukuna it would be repairing things, wich he would do.

What would a reverse slash even do? Hit sukuna instead? Heal the enemies? Not every technique works with reversal
I don’t like gojo’s domain because it seems too different from his technique compared to everyone else domains. Noaya and Megumi strike that sweet spot between creative and grounded.

I think the full djinn equip in magi is more similar to bankai and the extreme magic is just ur technique like ichigos bankai is tensa zangetsu but his technique in that state is the black getsuga tensho etc but overall I think ur right about the domains bankai and djinn euips are an evolution of ur overall power like a transformation but domains r just a glorified barrier technique to make ur move long range instead of being an evolution of the technique like megumis or gojos idk y gege did it like that tbh
I understand what he is saying and all, but for some reason I just don’t care and it’s just claim complaining because I wanted to see something more inventive even though the author has bigger things to worry about other than making different abilities that aren’t based on the users original, but I digress and I say that the Domains are just fine

So I'm only allowed to talk about important things? If you dont care, then dont comment. Plus, I already talked about those "important things." Its literally my most viewed video, so, like I said, he clearly didnt put enough thought into the comment.
@YumesukeSutashika I can concede to that, but there are still plenty of things that I do disagree with when it does come to your most popular video and this video, I get wanting domain sure hits to be more unique, but there's eventually a point where domains just have to be simple, my main problem with this video lies with the fact that there's no example of possible solutions, what would you do to make domains more unique? Because in the end the video doesn't come off as something objective, it ends up coming off as more opinionated.

You can say anything but saying "yuji's DE wasn't unique" Is such a braindead take that I really can't take you seriouesly.
Its a long range sure hit version of his curse technique, like half of the other domains, therefore it is not unique. Paying attention for 4 minutes shouldn't be too hard.

2:58 besides the disaster curses literally all of them are exact opposites to what you said, yuji's domain exposed the soul instead of just attacking it, giving megumi the will to fight back against sukuna, your biggest critique of domain's is "the ones that don't exist would probably be boring"
Apart from the disaster curses, Sukuna, smallpox, Naoya, Kenjaku, Yorozu, and Yuji all function like that. Yuji was already targeting the soul because of a binding vow from 263.
@YumesukeSutashika and I just explained how the main function of yuji's soul was more than just a sure hit effect, also sukuna's domain is the exact opposite of repetitive because it showed that domains can have no barriers which can cause city wide destruction and the other domains u listed literally didn't last more than a chapter
@YumesukeSutashika same for kenjaku as well, u can't look at domains that change the entire established rules of domains and say they're repetitive, it's just closing to not understand the story

Yeah it's sort of like wishing every character in DBZ would get a form of Ultra Instinct. Even if it is cool, it makes 0 sense for the story's power system and kind of ruins it.

I gotta disagree man. While domain expansions aren't fully fleshed out, they were actually exciting within the story. I enjoy their general implementation
I feel Japan’s culture plays a huge part and a lot of the issues that are plaguing the anime and manga industry in that area. They have way too much ties to their old world beliefs, and how they move socially yet they live in the future, which demands that they have to let go of that past, and it shows the duality every time when Gege writes.
I hope this makes sense i think more than my hands will allow me to convey.

@@bruhfunny8123 I Could Tell That Gege Took a Lot of Insperation from the Fate Series Domain Expansions Really Are Just bootleg Versions of Reality Marbles and Mahoraga Gege obviously took insperation from Beserker hercules and how mahoraga can adapt to any situation and cant be killed unless you destroy it in one powerful attack just like how beserker hercules god-hand gives hercules 12 lives and how only powerful attacks can kill him and even if you do kill hercules he adapts to the attack that kills him

Dude they just seem like undercooked reality marbles (fate series).
I think it's cool but honestly i don't think we get ENOUGH of domain expansion in general.
I think we didnt see enough different types of domains, but again, I dont really care anynore cuz most wouldve worked in predictable, repetitive ways.

One Piece does "Bankais" Better than Bleach lmao (Awakenings) They are based on their basic power but unique is some other way.

the only interesting awakening are from mytical animal fruits.
hard disagree only interesting awakenings are from mythical fruits the rest literally are just buffs or turning a place into string, magma etc. that is not exciting compared to the subverting of expectations bleach does with bankais

I think maybe purely focusing on the awakening part might make a bit of a weak argument but gotta remember non awakened abilities of devil fruits as well. Like doffy's awakening might be basic but his devil fruit usage surely isnt
