Idk I think what I like the most about jjk is the Marco sense of story telling. For example you might think that Yuta vs Sendai 4 deadlock was a meaningless fight, but it clarifies a very VERY important narrative through line: that the strongest is rewarded and the only way to truly be the strongest is to through away your humanity, indulge in your selfishness and become a calamity. This narrative line ties to Gojo, Kashimo, Sukuna, Megumi, Maki, Yuta and many many more. I don’t think characters necessarily change most of them are pretty static but what Gege does is introduce themes in the story and has these static characters viewpoints analyzed and challenged by the theme. That’s why Gojo couldn’t beat Sukuna narratively as much as physically. That’s why everybody wants Yuji to be the one to ice Sukuna cuz Sukuna is the thesis of the theme of the strongest and Yuji is the antithesis of the theme. Two static characters analyzed and challenged by the theme ( more so Sukuna cuz you understand so much of Yuji by now) Add alittle sprinkling of Gege’s sociopathic writing style and you get something I come back to weekly.

Know it's not clever, Bond would be more interesting if the MC was the one who priorities money over friendship and his friend value friendship but the friend works with corrupt people and he has to learn to keep his morals while the MC works with a good company and has to learn to change his ways

I think each fight has a theme

Reading Shonen and complaining from fighting is strange. Maybe read a non fighting genre if you don’t want it

The fights lacking narrative substance in favor of spectacle is a symptom of the cast lacking interactions with one another another and the world building being subpar. Even series like DragonBall & dbz which lean harder on comedy and action than a meticulous narrative does this correctly. Honestly, this is probably why Mahito is looked upon so favorably because his existence as a character and ensuing fight with Yuuji is the only fight that's narratively poignant. There are other examples but most don't get followed up on in future fights or the narrative overall.

It is and is generic garbage

I classify battle shoenen into 2 types typically traditional and nontraditional traditional would be things like the big 3 dbz and mha were the plot is the fights and conflict is typically resolved through the fights then nontraditional would be things like hunter hunter FMA mob phyco story's that uses fights more sparingly and tend fights to move the plot forward instead of being the plot and wail jjk falls into the first category it uses its fights very simmler to alot of nontraditional battle shoenen like hunter hunter. (note I dont think either is a better way of telling a story even if non traditional I tend to like more just a observation iv noticed.)

I do think that lack of fights with character development and themes in their fights. But some fights really does add weight with some characters the main ones are gojo and Yuji fights for me

Now the culling games yeah isn't much flavor especially the randoms there adds nothing. Only yuta and hakari and yuta vs higaruma fights mattered even then kashimo went there and got cooked 😂

People forget that fighting in storytelling should never just be fighting and with anime and other mediums it never is. Fighting should continue the story themes, and questions. Emphasizing the conversation being had with the characters and the story and the audience. Jjk has a good lot to say with dialogue before and after fights, throughout but also with the narrator and the people spectating. Jjk isn't just fights how much the fights and end results of fights speaks volumes to the themes of the story and the tragedy of the characters

I challenge the way supporting characters are typically seen and used, especially in anime. For me, a good story has supporting characters that support the overall story, not just the main character's plot. They should have their own growth in relation to their own goals, that helps more of the audience connect and relate to more characters. In DBZ, we see Gohan's potential increasing and being teased throughout the series, until he achieves ssj2, which was dope af. Something we had been waiting for. In Rock Lee's case, the promise of his potential was never fully fleshed out. in my opinion, his character arc should've lasted longer and shown all the way through Shippuden, maybe even finding a way to open the 8th gate without its fatal effects, surpassing Guy and truly contributing to the war. Imagine a JJK-style double team between Guy/Lee vs Madara and even Kaguya. might've been amazing to see.

I 100% agree. Yotsuba was a very odd choice and the mystery just didn’t work. Not to discredit Negi Haruba tho he’s been doing a superb job handling Ranger Reject’s mysteries so far.

You think JJK's characters are wasted? That's nothing compared to the girls of Air, Kanon, Clannad, and One: To the Radiant Season. Once those series enter a girl's arc, there's barely any interaction with the other characters. Then after the arc, the girl either disappears or gets demoted to a useless secondary character. Then the MC moves on to the next girl as if the previous one never existed.

Don’t get me wrong, I still like JJK, but I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece. There were times during the Culling Games arc where I found myself having to reread certain parts of the chapter(s) because they were just confusing af. But we also gotta remember that this is a dark shonen with Gege’s own twist to it; you can’t expect good things to happen always. I would also agree that there are some flaws to its writing, but JJK’s far from the only manga/anime that has flawed writing. I’m the type of person that just “waits to see” where the story goes. That’s all I really have to say about it, but I’m open to hear some other thoughts. ✌🏻

Blue Lock is not about soccer i think you missed the point

Not saying you don't make some good points, especially about how football actually works irl, but one way to look at it is that Blue Lock is an exercise in brainwashing the players. Also, it becomes more and more apparent as it goes on how unhinged Ego is.

For me, the manga was nice. Its just the fans and the anime, the fans? You say something bad about gojo then all his meat riders come beating you, not to mention almost all of then cant comprehend that gojo is a grown man and yuji cant date him, also sukuna is 1500 and megumi cant smash him, sukuna doesnt care for megumi, if he did why would he posess his body to kill HIS SENSEI. All sukuna wanted from megumi was his potentional and body, not his babies. Also, half of the ships they make are voluptus elephant shit and are either illegal, ive seen nobara x mahoraga 🤢... Not to mention, it feels like gege just added on nanami just for his gyatt to have echolocation. The females? Naruto has better. Not the looks but the personality. Not for dating broski 💀 nobara was a big pain in the ass, im sure even yuji would agree. Sakura? Yeah, she was annoying but she was actually a reason naruro lived. Tbh the only reason why new jjk fans joined was to see gojo twerk. What i dont get is why would gege add someone so over powered, i get theyre teachers but you dont gotta make him solve everything, also. What was gege thinking when he killed his MAIN CHARACTER. Yuji itadori and wanted season 3 to be made, im sure all characters are dead by now and sukuna is still alive, what happens when s3 releases, we see sukuna throwing it back in his domain? I dont get why fans like jjk, its a big sloppy downgraded version of naruto and has many problems with it and the fanbase, but luckily it isnt worse than hazbin hotel 🤧

The problem is the author said he knew who the winner was going to be after the first chapter. That’s not bad in and of itself but it does not match the build of the anime. So now he’s pissed off his entire fan base, and he’s genuinely confused about it 😂😂

Also, I think the Manga handled the mystery and who would be the bride much better. I do agree with you the anime is great. But I do think the ending could’ve been handled better.

See thats whats wrong with this story or lack thier of the creator was so focused on his art and the story obviously came last as hes not a writer he even said he wasnt so why didnt he get an actual writer to write his manga while he did the artworks?

gege didn't want to even continue the story and yet it became a major success i dont see why every anime should always follow the same module. I agree that much more ould have been done but it's fine the way it is

All of what you just mentioned here is exactly why I also didn’t like Yotsuba as the winner. The only two that I personally would have been okay with as the winner would have been Itsuki and Miku. I suppose I also would have been okay with Nino because I really did like how much she developed as the series went on and I also give her big points for being the first one to be brave enough to confess to him and how boldly and proudly she did it too (even though the way her personality is probably helped with that a little bit too). However because of how badly she treated him in the beginning was a little too much for me to put her any higher on the list. Honestly if it wasn’t for that she’d probably be my number 1 choice.
