Me too 😅 working out kinks like dealing with fungus gnats but I made a mistake in the beggining which caused the outbreak so I'm making sure to solve all possible issues before reccomending everyone do it!
This video inspired me!! I was having so many issues with trying to make my crestie's food in the squeeze bottle without clogging the nozzle. Went to Wal-mart and purchased a Hamilton Beach small blender. Had to play with the ratios of water/food and poured into the bottle...SO MUCH EASIER!!! Thank you so much sharing such an easy method!!!
robbys geckos are fantastic, the girls ive got from him are just stellar and this diet plan works amazing. whey can be difficult to mix out of a blender, but just remember to premix powders and liquids separate :)
It probably is missing a toe from a shed issue or a sibling nibbling it. Unless you saw it hatch with a missing toe 99% chance it happened as a wound in life and isn't genetic so you should be good
What soap do you use to clean the blender I normally just use water and elbow grease but I forgot and let one sit a couple day. Well not the blender but the bottle and after using water a lot it still has a rotten smell. I assume even dawn is okay just rinse and soak in water a lot after? I normally use 7th generation brand from fresh market dish soap I use on other stuff bothing that the would directly eat from tho it’s all plant based?
I saw you didn’t use the whey or egg protein or even raw honey in this mix. When do you recommend using extra protein and/or honey in the gecko’s diet? Also, when do you suggest using calcium with vitamin D and calcium without it?
Yeah it slipped my mind 😅 go figure! I almost always add raw honey! And add whey or egg white protein at your own discretion/choice, it's in most gecko foods already, I find my favorite is to use fresh gutloaded bugs everything for a great protein boost! And if you have all your geckos with uvb light then use calcium with no vitamin d. But if you're like me and 90% of breeders that use tubs and not uvb lit exo terras then with vitamin d3! But I'm sparing with adding calcium because I have heard you can give too much. I sadly don't know how much is too much!
Quick question! Since you feed using a squeeze bottle as well. How long do you recommend the premixed bottle diet last in the refrigerator? We've been feeding using a squeeze bottle as well but I've been slightly concerned about how long it can stay in the refrigerator
@@Flowering_Ouroboros for me, ive noticed the food starts to smell funky at about the 10 day mark. i usually mix food to last 3 feedings, which is 5-7 days
@@robbysreptiles I buy it at the store so it should be I hope. Also I have only one baby gecko coming this Saturday so I definitely won't be able to make this much. You think if I make myself a cup minus the bugs and gecko food I can add it after I make my own portion? I already eat pretty healthy but after watching one of your other videos you kinda got me into adding the goat whey protein, raw honey, bee pollen and all that other "hippy dippy" stuff into my own diet.
i have an adult and baby crestie and a baby garg at the moment. i'm a full time college student so i would make their food during sundays and put them in bottle caps for the babies and for my adult crestie in her disposable cups and would freeze them. i change it out every 2 days and would put the food earlier and just let it defrost in their enclosure. does freezing it affect the nutrients in the mix?
Ì want to get a crested gecko and I know you have to feed them insects, i heard they can be costly and I thought about meal worms but I heard about grain mites and tha got me worry. I want to rise them because going to the store to buy them is not really a option
Good day robby, I have a question and my gecko laid a single egg last night. I searched the substrate and I'm sure she only laid an egg. This is her first time. Can that be possible? Thanks so much
Using the wrong brand, need to try the natural gecko food I have. if you want your animals to be free of chemicals and addictives in their diet and just have nutrients from natural ingredients
still waiting for that bio active enclosure vid xD

Your first feeding video helped me a lot with the protein powder in there.
Heck yeah

I rarely add whey these days, I always opt for fresh insects now a days!
I just met Robby today at the reptile expo. It was pretty amazing to see his Geckos .
Glad you swung by man!
Is it okay to breed a gecko with a missing toe

1 week!
So if I use filtered water I don't need to use the repti safe water conditioner? Would it be overkill to use filtered water and water conditioner?
Yeah as long as its a great filter you should be fine

I doubt it effects the nutrients, definitely the texture but if they're eating it you're good

You don't HAVE to feed them insects. But they're great for them and make them grow healthier. But you can buy vacuum sealed bugs on repashys website

Sometimes they lay only one, and sometimes they lay one then a few days later the other. Nothing to worry about!
Thank you very much for the answer, now I am a little more reassured. Greetings from Germany😁
