- I’m feeling quite sentimental after seeing all of these clips. Touring with Beth, Ruth and Scott has been my most immersive musical experience so far. When you combine a long and busy touring schedule with a major change in time zones, there are some added elements of isolation from your normal routine. Pretty much everything outside of the tour is put on hold and you understand there is no quick or easy way to be with, or get help from home. That has both positive and negative effects but one thing that happens pretty quickly is that you bond with your new tour family. We were an unlikely mix of several generations that blended together wonderfully by way of the music we made every day.
This vlog covers the last month or so of the UK tour throughout England with one visit to Wales. The venues we were playing were consistently gorgeous and well attended with several sold-out shows and a couple of 2-night appearances. I did a little bit of everything of this tour including playing several instruments, selling merch and loading a lot of gear but I opted out of driving on the other side of the street. It was challenging enough just to walk around and not get hit. As polite as the audiences were every night, that doesn’t seem to extend to pedestrians on the narrow and treacherous UK streets :) It sounds like it won’t be long before I head back to new parts of the UK for some more touring and I can’t wait!
I’m 18 years old and I’m a professional musician, songwriter & artist based out of Nashville. I play lots of instruments but the ones that I’m hired to play most often are drums, cajon and bass. I’ve been posting music related videos on UA-cam since I was 9 years old and began playing professionally at 14. I’ve always loved music and I’m grateful that it’s also become how I now make a living. This channel started as a combination of my fascination with drums and UA-camrs and it’s now turned into a much larger music and music business diary. My goals haven’t changed all that much over the years and stay pretty simple. I’d love to keep making music and hope to keep getting better at it.

For a second, Mia, I thought you were going to cry, but then I thought, she's a musician, musicians don't cry. But seriously, your humble gratefulness is sincerely beautiful. I'm glad you got to see some things. Everything looked amazing. As a musician, it's always good to focus on the little things, like playing back to back dates so you don't have to tear down your set. I'm sure you'll see the whole world and visit several places multiple times.

Finally caught up on your vlogs after your AGT ones. Glad you made it over seas and enjoyed the touring. Today I saw Karen Carpenter tearing it up on a drum kit on some TV show probably 60 some odd years ago and thought, HEY Mia plays drums too. An exceptional young talent she was, glad to see you carrying on in the industry.
If I'm not mistaken that last shot is the gentleman that is Chris Ryde at SavoyTheatre, Monmouth. Not at all surprised to see him helping out despite being the director of the theatre. Loved watching these vlogs of your tour. Enjoy. It's a great life ahead.

yeah, for many reasons, this one was a bit of a milestone for me. It was a long way/time from home and I was feeling all kinds of emotions so I just set up the camera & said whatever came to mind.

There was a live stream?!? The London Mia saw would feel strange to me now. It's changed, Even the 'tube.' Some thing are still there such as the Royal Albert Hall where I saw an opera from the Royal Box. Bizarre. Then we got a tour of the entire place while drinking free champagne. I think I've been to more places than I can recall. I'm certain that Mia will be welcomed to many countries around the world and their famous musical venues. If Mia is being live streamed I hope someone will let me know.

There are some beautiful old concert halls in that video. They remind me of where I saw my first live show over 40 years ago. Love your original songs, keep up the good work. By the way, anywhere in Australia is better than a cold, wet winter's day in Birmingham! Come down under! 🙃

If you want to see what life on the road in the UK was like 50 years ago I would recommend the BBC documentary about the Essex band the Kursaal Flyers which can be easily found on UA-cam.
The Kursaals went round the circuit for two odd years before reaching the Top 20 with 'Little Does She Know' a song which should have been number one but only got to number 14 and was produced by Mike Batt of Wombles fame.
I really enjoyed your two UK videos and hope that next time you come I will be able to see a show in which you are involved.
It was also great to have been able to have attended the Song Suffragettes London show in October.

I would hate the UK. Too many dreary rainy days. I like sunny dry weather.
