- This video covers a lot of gigs. In the past, this many shows might have been broken into a few different vlogs but as you can imagine, the busier my schedule gets the less time there is for catching up. I don’t want that to sound like a complaint however because I’m thrilled with my life as a full-time music maker. 2023 has been filled with writing, recording and releasing a ton of my own music, playing a bunch of instruments for a bunch of artists both on stages and in the studio and even has included doing some sync work for everything from phone companies to kids shows.
I’ve learned to appreciate so many different parts of the music industry over the years that I no longer worry about the lack of predictability that comes with a music career. Instead, I would describe the same chaos as being full of inspiring variety. This vlog travels to both sides of the US and includes music from The Dead Deads, Candlebox, GRLwood, Beth Nielsen Chapman and of course, me!
I’m 19 years old and I’m a professional musician, songwriter & artist based out of Nashville. I play lots of instruments but the ones that I’m hired to play most often are drums, cajon and bass. I’ve been posting music related videos on UA-cam since I was 9 years old and began playing professionally at 14. I’ve always loved music and I’m grateful that it’s also become how I now make a living. This channel started as a combination of my fascination with drums and UA-camrs and it’s now turned into a much larger music and music business diary. My goals haven’t changed all that much over the years and stay pretty simple. I’d love to keep making music and hope to keep getting better at it.

I'd seen snippets of this vlog already, and there were a few BTS that I hadn't seen. The way you put all the scenes together had my head spinning, realizing how intense your schedule must have been. And then, to drive home the point, you fast forwarded it. That's artistic. :)
You're being exposed to different cultures, performing in different venues, and networking with other music professionals. For a 19 y.o. woman who recently graduated high school, who wants to be a music professional, you're getting a better education doing it your way than by sitting in a classroom IMHO. You've always been self-reliant - a true Indy - and pushed yourself to be your best. Not everyone, and not you, need an instructor to be instructed. That's another reason why I think you're special. Keep on truckin'.

Hey Mia, I must say you certainly are "plucking the day." Thought the XX eyes were pretty cool. Candlebox is a band I really like. After yesterday, I have been listening to them. Love the song rain. This led to the screaming trees and mother love bone. It's really awesome. Then uno... dos... tres by greenday came on, look at you, and I thought I gotta say something. Like, what the hell o.

There is one question, I am interested in. Could you tell me which loopstation you were using on AGT? It did not look as a very simple one, and I am lookiing for something like that for a female german artist who ist doing prog rock stuff in a band, but would also like to do something as a one girl show.

I don't think I've asked this previously; Though you play multiple instruments at an elevated talent level, which one do you feel stands above the rest and might become expert level for you in the pursuit of sound? (And young rock stars these days. Swearing like they know how to in the correct f*cking context.) 🤘👏
