Hi guys, I created this video to accompany my TRX Fitness Freedom programs: trxtraveller.com/trx-programs/ I hope you found it useful, thanks for watching!
@@fitnessfreedomathletes are you able to get shredded from using this? I also wanted to ask what you thought about the tactical version? Are you able to use your programs with the tactical version?
@@brucebanner3566 Getting shredded isn't just exercise dependant. With a good work ethic, practicing perfect TRX technique, a slow calorie deficit, consistent good nutrition and working on good foundational pillars (sleep, stress and gut health) - yes you absolutely can get shredded. A TRX and those steps is all I've ever used. Yes you can use any TRX or suspension trainer with my Programs :)
Thanks Adam, and every exercise I do on the TRX is a compound exercise which is great. I do it in my kitchen when it fits in with my day, and when I need to rest between sets I do a bit of housework so the house gets done too.
I can’t believe I spent so many years and so much money On freeway dumbbells, total gym bow flex All good But none of them let me really feel the muscle as my TRX trainer does My arms are tighter And at 62 years old I’m gaining muscle This is very inexpensive exercise tool Is just with the doctor ordered Thank you for explaining technique And for all the work that you do To put these fantastic videos on UA-cam
So great to hear David, thank you for your comment! Haha, we've all been there. Great you've found it works for you and you're enjoying the content. All the best with your training!
Just find you, because I was trying to find some exercises! You are amazing, propably the best channel for trx! It's very important that you talk and explane .. thank you!! :)
Never felt my lats with dumbells or machines. With the Suspension trainer (i use rings, too....but same exercises) my lats were burning for the first time while doing rows or pull ups. The stretch in the muscle feels amazing. My technique with dumbells and machines also got better through this training. It also changed my leg Training, because split squats with the band are very challenging at first because you have to stabilize so much, but over the time it becomes easier and your technique and stability better. There are so much exercises for the whole body i never thought about before 😅
Just started using my TRX which I bought some time ago, I used it a few times then it got put to one side and kind of forgotten about, that was until I randomly came across TRX Traveller on Facebook clicked on the ad and watched a few of Adam’s videos and I’m hooked. Adam is now by far my favourite TRX guru, his videos are interesting to watch and listen to, and his unique approach is really infectious, even though I am getting the feel of the TRX again, I haven’t missed a morning workout for nearly two weeks 💪 and intend to keep it going this time. Thanks Adam 👍
Thank you for your kind words! Huge gratefulness for them. Love hearing about your passion for it has been re-ignited. Keep in touch, I'd love to know how you progress. All the best!
Just converted my garage to create a gym area. I have static cycle and a boxing bag and was looking at getting a rack and weights. With the difficulty of getting equipment at the moment, I have decided to go for a TRX after watching this video. Thanks very much for the advice 👍
Awesome video man - new subscriber. I’m 51, out of shape and carrying some extra covid pounds. I’ve canceled my gym membership and my wife and I built a small home gym in the basement. We’ve had the TRX for years but never used them. Tonight did my my first workout with them and was really impressed. As you said, you have to fiddle a bit sometimes to get that muscle isolated the way you want but I love the peace and flexibility of a home gym vs a busy commercial gym. After watching you I know I can really ramp up my workouts, cheers.
That's great to hear about the home gym! Nice one! And super pleased to hear a TRX is serving your fitness needs. I had the same realisation about 7 years ago now and I've never been back to a gym. In fact the gym comes with me wherever I go ;). All the best!
Motivating thanks .I left a gym in lockdown where I was a PT and didn't carry on with PT but used TRX ...loved it...using body as a machine .Over several months not I have neglected my straps and thought if rejoining a gym but thankfully found you and it reminded me I need me and my TRX suspension ( I also have TRX RIP trainer ) ...kicked me up the backside ...I am getting back on it .👌
Really love your mindset and agree totally. The mind muscle connection is sooooo important to develop a muscle. And experimenting and getting creative with the TRX. Love this!
Discovered this channel because I invested on a TRX because gym access became hard for me caused by busy schedule. For me it is an equipment that I use on my travels the most because not all area have gyms. So I keep on the routine. But prefer gym for maximum strength gains.
When used it regularly, I was shocked when I did a bench press with a barbell. I started with 180 lbs. Hadn't done a bench press in two years. Usually when just starting Bench press, maximum 125 lbs for 7 reps. Explanation, TRX works many stability muscles balancing, which makes it very great full body workout. With great strength benefits I did not expect transfered. Rope jumping is another great fitness tool.
This is the first video of yours I have seen. Thank you for this honest, heartfelt, real video. @@warrenmorgan304 of course you can but I have a very busy schedule week to week and don’t always have time to get to the gym. But I do have TRX and use it often. Not necessarily “torn” just a figure of speech but definitely is nice to know you can build lean muscle using TRX.

I use TRX exercises as part of my workouts more often than I used to. I love them, but I do have a question: Due to not being able to get into the gym at thr moment, I am missing the rowing machine. Are there any TRX exercises that may help imitate this?
Certainly are! Row high and row low: ua-cam.com/video/6GfAz_GMelY/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/6a0sM0fuOOA/v-deo.html TRX face pulls wouldn't hurt either: ua-cam.com/video/My9V58WDvmM/v-deo.html
I like TRX and believe there are certain advantages over Rings, but have you used Gymnastics rings? I believe there alittle better overall and allow for more advanced excercises + they're way less expensive. Again I like TRX too and use them both
In terms of ability to place tension on the muscle through good ranges of motion, there’s no difference. In my opinion. TRX is just more comfortable to hold 👍🏼

Nope. I have used a cheaper one off amazon for years of travelling and also the TRXGO for many years. Both have stood the test of time and travel. It’s the effective muscle-centric technique combined with mindful muscle connection when using them that’s the key, which is what I love to teach in my Programs - trxtraveller.com/trx-programs/ S.o long as it’s adequate you’re good to go.
Hi Adam, You are completely right about this. TRX ( or other suspension straps) will build muscle like any other resistance method. They work for me as well as my training partner. Thanks for a very informative video. By the way, where are you located?
Great to hear you achieve your fitness goals with a TRX too. I'm currently back in London. I was in living Buenos Aries before Covid happened. What about yourself?
@@fitnessfreedomathletes I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA now. Before that, I was living in Phoenix, Arizona, which is a huge bodybuilding city. I have been doing TRX (suspension) training for about 5 years now. I also incorporate resistance band training. In my mind, this is really the way to go. I love your videos. All the best, Joel
Absolutely, when paired with a good diet and a focus on creating quality dense muscle through technique and mind-muscle practice. It's all I've used for the past 6 years
Hey there. Thank you for the comment! There's a variety that I use in the Programs. It's nothing new. The same strategies that have been around for a long time, it's the understanding of how to execute them correctly with a TRX that changes. Some that I develop into the TRX Programs are: time under tension, reps, sets, drop sets, super sets, giant sets etc and most importantly the advancement of mind - muscle connection utilising isometrics, paused top contractions etc
@@fitnessfreedomathletes interesting! Ive been utilising Trx since the lockdown happened in which the same time I just qualified as a personal trainer. Most of my fitness experience has been revolved around the gym but after training with Trx i feel less urged to go to the gym but have also noticed a recline in muscle mass. Its great that similar principles apply Thanks for the tips
@@Mysticmonnz I can understand where you are coming from. Years ago when I was younger, I believed muscle building could not exist without a gym / weights. Many years later - I've packed on more muscle using a TRX in my own space than I ever did in a gym. There's many reasons for this (most I cover in this vid) but the biggest eye opener is that the muscle doesn't know what you are holding, all it knows is the amount of powerful tension and contraction one can place upon it through a range of motion. Mind - muscle and perfect technique is the key. The TRX just happens to be a handy thing to hold to do that with.
@@fitnessfreedomathletes interesting point of view! Makes a lot of sense, What I do miss is heavy weight training which is hard to do with TRX bit it all depends on individual goals and such. I may consider buying your book as I just had a brief look on your website. Looks great!
@@Mysticmonnz It really does. I said the same thing to a friend earlier this week. There really is nothing that compares to piling a load of weight on and trying to squat or deadlift it. Amazing and really engaging 👍🏻 My question to you please, at one point I was fairly fit, had a really bad rotator cuff tear, I’ve been out of action for probably eight or nine years and it’s now functional again, After much therapy and cortisone injections, deep tissue massages et cetera and Band work as well. So I am now able to move the shoulder really well, without any pain at all. Although I have kettle bells, which I do to a lesser degree, I have put on a fair bit of weight in the period of time where I sustained injury. Now that I have invested in a set of suspension trainers, for someone that is older, and overweight, to start suspension training, how many sets and reps would you advise as a starting point. I totally appreciate the fact that it’s probably going to be an individual thing, but is there anything you could suggest as a starting point. Keep rambling, absolutely amazing, motivating and engaging .... Much thanks, Steve Uk :-)
I would say 2 sets is enough, between 8-10 reps and with a 222 tempo. Focus on technique and really squeezing the muscle at the top range. Your body will adapt eventually and then intensity can be increased.
We have to be honest. A lot of the advocates for this product don't look very impressive. They use it more of a glamorized balance assistant. The video online come off as 80s looking "trendy" routines to keep people busy until the next fad. Glad to see somebody actually realizes you only get out of this what you put into it.
IG thumb-stopping movement TRX videos VS muscle-centric TRX exercise. Agreed happens with all fitness tools/fads dating right back to when it was only magazines promoting. However, for those who utilise its potential with intent and mind-muscle connection, the tool (a TRX in this instance) is irrelevant. Just happens to be useful for the given task. The muscle doesn't know what it's holding, only the tension and violent contraction it feels through a rage of motion. The same principle can be achieved/applied with a beer can.
A TRX is all I use and it’s all most of my clients use in our Fitness Freedom Community. However, applying the correct technique alongside the correct nutrition for your goals is certainly key. The biggest thing I ever learned was that muscle doesn’t know what it’s holding, all it knows is the tension you can place upon through a range of motion, regardless of the tool (TRX, bands, weights) used to do so.
Hi Adam, I have a question...why on earth are you so cautious in advising over 65s not to undertake your programme on the website? I am 64. I have never used a gym, but am reasonably fit through a life of swimming and running and using resistance bands historically and more recently, over the last 5 years, trx. I take great inspiration from you and Red Delta Project in this. Trx is, in my opinion, great for seniors when using good resources as those named. You like RDP emphasize safety, mind body connection and the body/ muscle focus when using suspension training as a tool...which is the precise reason I benefit using this equipment as a training tool. Maybe you are unaware you have older people watching your channel and learning from you...you do! Maybe do a few vids aimed at your more senior viewers. Anyways, brilliant content on your channel. Richard
Hi Richard, thank you so much for your eye opening and inspiring comment! In truth I only put it in as I was advised to for legal reasons to stop people suing me. I don't understand the full reasons behind why I needed to state it, but it was enough to scare me into putting it. I 100% agree with you, age is nothing. It's the will, drive and determination that exceeds all. I am going to remove it as you are absolutely right #trxfornaybody and anywhere has always been my belief and I will stand by it better. That is amazing insight you have gave me about my demographic - thank you. You've just inspired a whole TRX series which I'm going to plan out.
@@fitnessfreedomathletes Thanks Adam for your response. In retrospect I thought it must be due to the potential of litigation! Best to keep it in! Lol But seriously, that would be fantastic if you would, at a future date, do one or two UA-cam vids for your senior followers. Believe it or not at 64, I am still able to build muscle by using trx, overcoming isometrics and white collar boxing. Although in lockdown, it is all shadow boxing. Cheers Richard
It would depend on your level of experience. That's why I created the TRX Fitness Freedom Programs - trxtraveller.com/trx-programs/ for levels of beginner - advanced
Good vídeo, as I don't like gym and it's dangerous nowadays I began to exercise myself at my backyard. Trying not to use any element but finally I realized that for some muscles there is no options than TRX. So I'll use it as soon as it arrives home. But the thing is that there are lots of exercises where there's no need of it. In my opinion for legs and gluteus it is not very useful. In fact I see yours a little bit thinner than your upper body. Thanks, I'll see your videos to use it properly!
In my opinion it all comes down to your mid-muscle connection. Whatever tool you can achieve that the best with, is the best workout tool. For me that happens to be a TRX and it's what I coach my clients to achieve. My chicken legs certainly were / are. I've been trying bring them up over the past year with various intense TRX workouts. Quite happy with the progress so far as can be seen/critiqued in this video: ua-cam.com/video/IGdjt0lWBTw/v-deo.html
@@Fabius998 It's funny you mention that. I've literally just picked one up to start to explore using it with a TRX. It still won't beat mind-muscle though, in m opinion ;)
@@fitnessfreedomathletes cool! :) I totally agree with you, i don't think i'll ever need a vest 'cause i'm definitely not a bodybuilder (1,77 x 65kg), i'd like to gain some muscles but without getting bulky...honestly I think your body is just perfect!
@@Fabius998 That's very kind thank you. I'm very far from it but I do think there's a place for everyone to feel great in their body achieved by TRX training in ones own space for mind and muscle development.
I’m sure the marketing would have you believe that. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter. The muscle doesn’t know what you’re holding. All It knows is the tension you can place upon though a range of motion. Technique and mindfully connecting to the muscle are priority regardless of what tool you use 👍🏼💪🏼
No, not any more. I stopped using a gym and weight over 6 years ago. If you're interested to know more I explain / show my transition and the benefits here - trxtraveller.com/
Hey there. I was doing a PUSH LEGS PULL split for quite a while. It's what led to me develop this Program: trxtraveller.com/product/ultimate-trx-physique-sculpting-program/ Currently I'm doing full body high intensity workouts about 3 times a week as I'm developing a new Program for just that. Personally I would say the split depends on your level of experience and more importantly your mind-muscle connection. As with most I've always had success with PUSH LEGS PULL as a basis but for many starting out with TRX exercise I've found good success with clients on a 3/4 full body rotation training 4 times a week. Ultimately it all comes down to the best exercises for you which dictate the split. By that I mean the exercises where you can violently contract a muscle through it's full range of motion and really feel the muscle squeezing and getting pumped it.
This particular TRX in the video has a single-anchor point that splits into a Y-shape (to have 2 handles)... whereas gymnastics rings have 2 separate and fully individual anchor points and handles. And obviously, gymnastics rings have a full-circle handle while TRX and most suspension trainers have a conventional handle. For me, the 2 most fundamental muscle-building exercises are pull-ups and dips... and they are *much* more comfortable to do on gymnastics rings or any suspension trainer that has 2 separate individual anchor points (as opposed to the TRX's single Y-split version). Those are the main differences... I'd say if your specific goal in training is gymnastics-related, then go with gymnastics rings. But for normal training, the TRX will be fine...
It would depend on your goal. If it was to be a gymnast I'd say most definitely the rings. If it was general fitness, the only thing that matters in my opinion is - which one allows you to most effectively perform an exercise through its full range of motion that suits your individual biomechanical needs. Allowing you to then focus on the internal feeling and violent muscle contraction of each of those exercises. For me that's a TRX, I've used gym rings but they don't feel as comfortable or as accessible for me biomechanically. Hope that helps
It's a game changer. Feel free to get in touch anytime if you'd like a Program to hit your specific fitness goals using a TRX or even for pointing in the right direction with regards to technique videos to do your own thing - hello@trxtraveller.com all the best!
In my opinion it doesn’t matter. It’s not the tool, the muscle doesn’t know what you’re holding. It’s how you use the tool - technique and mindfully connecting to the muscle, that matter.
Great video, some really helpful advise for someone who’s looking to start out with a TRX. The only thing that I can’t seem to find any solid advise on is which TRX system to buy to start with. There are so many ranging from a reasonable price (around £100 to the pro stuff which is near £200 in the uk). Any advise which would be best for a beginner?? Even the TRX website isn’t clear for beginners. Thank again 👍
Hey there, sure thing, glad it was useful. In all honesty so long as it's solid it doesn't matter. There's no need to always spend a lot of money on one if you are just wanting to try it out. What matters is your technique, mind-muscle connection and ability to contract a muscle correctly through the range of motion. The tool (TRX in this instance) is secondary. I used this cheap one for 3 years travelling the world: amzn.to/2GyFZyr I have also used the Decathlon suspension trainer fine, which is very cheap. In my TRX Studio I have a few TRX GO: amzn.to/3anxe58 for my clients. Purely because it was a Christmas treat to myself haha They feel and look a bit nicer for the money. Hope that helps :)

In terms muscle building, the TRX is really going to deliver the same overall results that weights do provided one trains hard and consistently enough... But what throws off people's perceptions about what muscle building really is are images of professional bodybuilders in media and dedicated weight trainers who maximize their caloric intake... i.e. take in *way* more calories on a daily basis than the average person would. In the case of professional bodybuilders, we all know that most of that vast size comes from anabolic drugs that flood their systems with more testosterone than even 10 guys could produce at once... so the question of weights playing a role in that result are negligible. And in the case of dedicated weight trainers who go on high-calorie diets, they will of course will have much larger muscle size and be way more developed than the average person... But is that all because of weight training? It plays a role of course, but I really think if you had them consume a more normal-calorie diet that most would be on, they wouldn't achieve even half the muscle building results they ultimately get when upping the calories to such a high degree despite all the weights they are pushing. Point being that training yourself to lift progressively heavier and heavier weights over time will favor one to consume *more* calories to pack on more weight to more *efficiently* lift that increasingly heavier poundage (yes, even if that extra weight is in the form of blubber). This situation is the opposite with suspension training... as with everything that requires better body movement through space, it favors one to become *leaner* to more effectively progress and become stronger. So the general public will look at the dedicated weight trainer who consumes a lot of calories to supplement his heavy lifts and compare him to someone who specializes in bodyweight training and only see the weight trainer is naturally much larger physically... and they will conclude it's because one lifts weights and the other doesn't. Meanwhile, take that same guy lifting weights and lower his calories and try to achieve a similar leanness level that the bodyweight athlete has... and when he does achieve it, you'll notice that their muscle size will be very comparable *despite* one lifting weights and the other lifting only his body.
An interesting and thought provoking read. Thank you. I simply see it as - ‘the muscle doesn’t know what you’re holding (dumbbell or handle) all it knows is the constant tension and violent contraction one can place upon it through a range of motion’ The tool (TRX or dumbbell) used to do so is irrelevant. It’s the mindful muscle connection and intent that matters. The TRX just happens to be a very handy tool for fitness anywhere.

@@ahmadelshbasy3222 Gaining strength and building muscle are two separate fitness goals if we are getting advanced / detailed. As a 'general rule' - strength will be gained as a by-product of muscle building and muscle will be gained as a by-product of strength training. But, I'd advise working out the main fitness goal first, then the using correct program to get there.
@@fitnessfreedomathletes well i , cant agree more But , how would u gradually progress just to target muscle building without actually gaining strength? Increasing intensity without adding strength(more weight) is actually something that is limited and u will get a plateau then u really need to increase ur strength , that what progressive overload is all about ..
They once developed a machine that you can use to train in space. I thought it was really great, I bought the machine too, but then I realized that I could have done it all with just a few rubber bands 😂 Sounds strange, but unfortunately it's true 😂 That's life isn't it
There's more to being healthy, strong, fit and a an overall machine of a human than gaining some muscle. Sure you can build muscle with this, but suspension training has much more valuable attributes than muscle growth. Its training your core, stability, its portable, its functional and super quick and easy for the same results as weights and is far better for your joints as it moves in more realistic ranges of motion that you use in the real world
Hi there! This isn't my 20's, it's 4/5 years ago whilst living / backpacking central and south America, wonderful culture :), with a TRX. At the grand age of early thirties :/. I've never used steroids, whilst exploring the body's ability to develop muscle for longevity does fascinate me. It never has to the extent of seeking to build or push my body further for the sake of 'muscle'. It's using workouts as meditations and connecting the mind, body and soul as one in our own space and time, that is my passion. The physique happens to be the by-product of that focus. @@bodywisdom5423 I hope it was useful :) All the best!
I use just TRX now and I've got my best body I've ever had
Awesome Jen! You must have your technique and mind-muscle connection locked in real good!
Thanks Adam, and every exercise I do on the TRX is a compound exercise which is great. I do it in my kitchen when it fits in with my day, and when I need to rest between sets I do a bit of housework so the house gets done too.

There are so much exercises for the whole body i never thought about before 😅
Awesome comment, so cool to hear 👍🏼💪🏼
Just started using my TRX which I bought some time ago, I used it a few times then it got put to one side and kind of forgotten about, that was until I randomly came across TRX Traveller on Facebook clicked on the ad and watched a few of Adam’s videos and I’m hooked.
Motivating thanks .I left a gym in lockdown where I was a PT and didn't carry on with PT but used TRX ...loved it...using body as a machine .Over several months not I have neglected my straps and thought if rejoining a gym but thankfully found you and it reminded me I need me and my TRX suspension ( I also have TRX RIP trainer ) ...kicked me up the backside ...I am getting back on it .👌
That’s great to hear! I hope you find your flow with it again, all the best with your training!
Really love your mindset and agree totally. The mind muscle connection is sooooo important to develop a muscle. And experimenting and getting creative with the TRX. Love this!
Thanks for your comment, hope the vid was useful :) and 100% on the mind-muscle, it rocks!

Some people wondering if TRX helps them build muscle. If they only knew it was created by Navy Seals for Navy Seals.
Millitary guys are more about endurance than max strength or gains tho. They are muscular, but it's not really their focus.
From my understanding he didn't create it. He got the idea when he was in because they used diy suspension trainers. The first on the market was a creation of Jon Hinds. This was a number of years before trx. Hinds was also the first to come out w/ stirrups.
@@fingerstyleguitas9046 That's the more functional choice, but not necessarily how dudes train.

Absolutely, when paired with a good diet and a focus on creating quality dense muscle through technique and mind-muscle practice. It's all I've used for the past 6 years
Great video! Very well knowledged. Whats your solution for progressive overload?

Amazing and really engaging 👍🏻
My question to you please, at one point I was fairly fit, had a really bad rotator cuff tear, I’ve been out of action for probably eight or nine years and it’s now functional again, After much therapy and cortisone injections, deep tissue massages et cetera and Band work as well.
TRX Traveller much thanks and thanks your your time .
Best wishes 👍🏻😊
I just got a TRX can I completely ditch the gym and get shredded with it alone?
A TRX is all I use and it’s all most of my clients use in our Fitness Freedom Community. However, applying the correct technique alongside the correct nutrition for your goals is certainly key. The biggest thing I ever learned was that muscle doesn’t know what it’s holding, all it knows is the tension you can place upon through a range of motion, regardless of the tool (TRX, bands, weights) used to do so.
@@fitnessfreedomathletes is there a video where you explain how to lose weight and get shredded?
Hi Adam,
I have a question...why on earth are you so cautious in advising over 65s not to undertake your programme on the website?

But seriously, that would be fantastic if you would, at a future date, do one or two UA-cam vids for your senior followers.
Believe it or not at 64, I am still able to build muscle by using trx, overcoming isometrics and white collar boxing. Although in lockdown, it is all shadow boxing.

How many sets and rep's you'd do for muscle mass?

Hi can you do TRX as a warm up before lifting weights?
I haven’t lifted weights in over 6 years. Never will again. But you certainly could use it as a warm up tool if you wish 👍🏼
You can always use a weighted vest (or even a backpack) to add some weight in order to make the exercises harder! ;)
Have you tried the Trx Rip Trainer? I heard that together with TRX Pro 4 the workout is much more effective.
Do you lift weights as well?
No, not any more. I stopped using a gym and weight over 6 years ago. If you're interested to know more I explain / show my transition and the benefits here - trxtraveller.com/
Great video. Can I ask do you use the TRX to do a split routine or a full body routine? Which do you think is better?
U can build muscles just with body weight exercises just need to be consistent 😊
Absolutely 💪
What’s the difference between TRX and gymnastic rings? They seem similar in what they do.
Thank you very much for this video and the helpful information I think I am gone buy an a trx and stop my membership by the gym.

Arent gymnastics rings just better or am i missing something?
Hope that helps :)
i love trx
Rock on!!
le trx est tres bien plus quand on utilise le rip trainer que les explications sont super
You are so wholesome person, what I have seen from you comments etc. Spread the positivity😋
That's very kind, thanks. Positive mind - positive fitness growth hopefully. All the best!
It is very possible to build muscle with TRX. And your core and overall strength will go through the roof after some regular use on it. 🤔 😁💪🇺🇸
Well said 💪
Hey I’m disappointed that you beginners guide is a pdf book. I like following workouts in real time. I like you and feel you should create follow along workouts. I would definitely buy from you but sorry not going to buy a book 😢
Hey there. The Programs come with coaching videos to follow along, learn and progress with :). If you'd like to do some technique explained workouts with me: ua-cam.com/play/PLb3Kmt1u1P2AHJ4RMg3BaaFs5fQ5jCeLu.html
Thank you. I simply see it as -
‘the muscle doesn’t know what you’re holding (dumbbell or handle) all it knows is the constant tension and violent contraction one can place upon it through a range of motion’
The tool (TRX or dumbbell) used to do so is irrelevant. It’s the mindful muscle connection and intent that matters. The TRX just happens to be a very handy tool for fitness anywhere.
Resistance is resistance.
Amen
Just found your channel after ordering some TRX straps. Great to see a 🇬🇧 youtuber. Do you have a place to start?
Ion always unsure how much to train and for how long 😀
Hey there, if you're just starting out that exactly what I created the TRX TOTAL BODY BEGINNER PROGRAM FOR: trxtraveller.com/product/trx-total-body-transformation-program/ for a little bit of info: "I created this program for those wanting to achieve their fitness goals anywhere, with a TRX being the tool. It is intended for those new to TRX and covers all the foundational exercises and how to do them along with progressive overload throughout blocks 1 and 2 to advance in both functional fitness, strength and aesthetic physique."
Or if you check out my other videos, specifically my beginner playlist you'll find loads of exercises to try and learn. Let me know if you eve have any questions
Time under tension
It's a winner!
Of course you can. Is it optimal? No.
So in conclusion its mind muscle connection and time under tension
Nailed it. Place the mind inside the muscle and destroy it.

But what about gaining strength ?
@@ahmadelshbasy3222 Gaining strength and building muscle are two separate fitness goals if we are getting advanced / detailed. As a 'general rule' - strength will be gained as a by-product of muscle building and muscle will be gained as a by-product of strength training. But, I'd advise working out the main fitness goal first, then the using correct program to get there.
@@fitnessfreedomathletes well i , cant agree more
But , how would u gradually progress just to target muscle building without actually gaining strength?
Increasing intensity without adding strength(more weight) is actually something that is limited and u will get a plateau then u really need to increase ur strength , that what progressive overload is all about ..
I’m not entirely sure what you mean, but yes progressive overload is a key fundamental for all increases in performance 👍🏼💪🏼
They once developed a machine that you can use to train in space. I thought it was really great, I bought the machine too, but then I realized that I could have done it all with just a few rubber bands 😂
Sounds strange, but unfortunately it's true 😂
That's life isn't it
❤🎉
There's more to being healthy, strong, fit and a an overall machine of a human than gaining some muscle.
Sure you can build muscle with this, but suspension training has much more valuable attributes than muscle growth.
Its training your core, stability, its portable, its functional and super quick and easy for the same results as weights and is far better for your joints as it moves in more realistic ranges of motion that you use in the real world
Wise words, thanks for the comment
Ok but what are you really working out when you're training "your core" and "stability"? Could it be uhm *MUSCLES,* maybe?
Wow you were huge in your 20's. With all due respect just wanting to understand. Were you all Natty then?
It's this passion that inspired me to create the TRX Fitness Freedom Programs - trxtraveller.com/ to help others achieve their fitness goals anywhere and experience this focus.
The picture from 3:12, is that also from your TRX time or from lifting in the gym?
@@stian2165 Ah yes it is, my bad, I forgot that shot was in there. That's pro a bodybuilder from Poland, I forget his name but he was a super nice guy. Whilst I was strong and had decent overall mass (not good lean shape) when I coached and trained in a gym, I can assure you that photo makes me look ALOT bigger than what I was. The Pump, an angle, and standing next to a guy who is 5ft 6 make a small boy like me look big. Here's a link to a more realistic shot of what I looked like when I trained in a gym (PHOTO 1: Nepal) It was almost 6 years back now and the beginning of my journey into just suspension training and band training, and little did I know it at the time, but the end of using a gym and weights for good - trxtraveller.com/have-i-gained-suspension-training-muscle-mass-over-the-years/
@@fitnessfreedomathletes Thanks for the reply 😊
I was expecting a Dodge TRX not this crap 😞
