    x13 2023 weight is 1350g, charger is 480g,
you can substitute with anker 747 150w 230g which charges other device.
you can silent the fan by downloading ghelper and set fan curve lower
for comparison ipad pro 11 with magic keyboard weigh 1130g
you could consider iphone pro max at 220g it can do 99.9% of ipad.
yes i have weight it all myself.
if you want more power buy xg mobile rtx4090 1.3kg which act as dock and power, compare it with 2.8 legion with 1kg power brick.
no you cannot substitute some work/game on windows with ios android or mac.
if you don't care about proper gaming like Elden ring or Baldur's gate 3 on windows, don't buy nvidia gadget.
apple and oranges, if you care about mario buy switch not ps5.
please don't delete my comment, may help people.

Man you’ll have a hard time in life if you keep complaining like this for the silliest things. My advice to you is be happy with what you have. It’s a good laptop.
Asus just released the new g14 and g16 and they’re slimmer and lighter but you won’t have the touchscreen or the tablet mode. You have the perfect laptop and stop complaining.

I just saw another review saying how this is one of the quietest silent-mode laptops on the market before arriving at this video. Please do not put any laptop on your bed, it will overheat and go on fire. When you compare it to a tablet, it's not really a fair comparison because this is NOT a tablet. This screen supposedly DOES have mini LEDs and it has one of the brightest screens with great contrast on the market. Please don't buy a gaming laptop if you don't game. It's like buying a Ferrari and driving it like a Toyota Prius complaining about how the engine is so loud even at low speed. :(

I got the ROG Flow Z13, instead of the X13. Got it back in 2022 (I think?), so I still have the gen1 version of the device. Still have warranty and it still works to this day.
Mine came with a 100w USB-C Charger. I figured I'll just buy an universal charging brick that can go up to 125w so I dont need to carry multiple charging bricks with me.
    Works without any issues.
Thus, the burden of carrying an additional charger is gone. (My phones n other devices all use usb c and the charing brick has 4 ports, 3x usb-c and 1x usb).
All 13-inch gaming laptops kinda weigh the same. My Z13 weighs 1,1kg, so its pretty lightweight and compact all things considered.
Yes, it can get hot. But you can change most of the settings (even the fan settings) via the Armoury Crate Software that was pre-installed onto the device.
You can also use the "FN + F5" combination to reduce fan activity (at least on the Z13, probably also on the X13).
Usually I dont mind the Fan all too much, so I crank it up a bit more just so the device stays cool.
Even without those changes, my devices fans never got too loud if I only was watching youtube/netflix.
I know, I know. I am using the Z13 and not the X13, but from what I have read online both are pretty similar from the internal stuffs.
Also make sure that you install all updates via the MyAsus app. Usually that fixes most overheating issues. Mine never came close to being hot if I am only browsing, watching youtube or netflix.
However, you shouldnt compare a device like that to tablets. The Asus ROG devices are meant for gaming. What you have there is a gaming laptop.
Its designed to be powerful enough to run games, cut and render videos, design via Blender and similar stuff.
It is designed to be a full-fledged computer.
Tablets (iPad, Samsung) are mainly made for media consumption and more lightweight work, as you said in your video.
For me it just feels like you didnt do enough research before buying the Asus ROG Flow X13.
It feels like you didnt want a full-fledged gaming device, instead you were looking for a light work & media-consumption device.
Which, in return, makes the laptop not disappointing. It does what it advertised. It just wasnt as compatible with what you wanted it to be.
Imo the iPad Air with the M1 chip should already have enough power for what you explained you wanted to do with the device.
A M2 Ipad Pro would already be overkill already for what you're planning.

I think iPad Pro would be good for the channel because a lot of people genuinely want to know if it’s practical to replace their main computer with one. If you keep it for about 1-2 weeks I think that would make for a pretty robust test. Only negative is that the iPad Pro M2 did come out over a year ago so I’d be surprised if its being searched out by a lot of people on YT right now - M3 can’t be far off though

    1. too loud when gaming or any other heavy duty apps.
    2. it gets too hot (52 C) during tablet mode on low duty apps. since tablet mode disables fans
    3. In terms of worth, the Ipad or Samsung tab is prefferable as they are lighter.
    Edit:
💔 The speaker regrets buying the Asus ROG Flow X13 laptop.
⚖ The weight of the laptop, especially with the charger, is noticeable and adds to the overall weight of a backpack.
🌬 The fan noise is loud even during casual tasks, and the laptop gets hot quickly.
💻 Tablet mode is more comfortable, but the tablet is heavy compared to other tablets like the iPad Pro.
🎮 The laptop is good for gaming but not as great as a specialized gaming laptop.
📱 The speaker realizes they would prefer a lighter and more specialized tablet like the iPad Pro.

Comparing that to a tablet is unfair, because it it not a tablet, its a laptop, that can be used as a tablet. What you need is a tablet. But if you bought it because you needed a tablet, its not the computer that has the problem.

Just because a product doesn't suit your specific needs doesn't necessarily make it overall disappointing. Have you tried the Asus ROG Flow Z13 tablet? I like them more than my 2021 X13 because the fans are pointed upwards on the tablet and is more noticeably cooler. To me, the fans are a little quieter too.

While most of your points are not what keep me from buying it because well, it is a Laptop after all and not a tablet, the heat problem does keep me away as in another review it was said the heat takes a toll on the performance and that while on paper it is quite good it actually sucks for video editing in a real world scenario. Which is a shame because I thought I'd finally found a nice on the go editing laptop.

Hi and nice video about the Flow X13.
    I have 3 questions, if I may:
    1. Which model if you use, a 2022 or 2023?
    2. Is it a 32GB ram version?
    3. Does the device go crazy with 10 Gbts USB SSDs?
I guess because I have a Flow z13 2023 and this only causes problems with USB SSDs and storage media if they are not slowed down to at least USB 3.0 or 2.0 speed. Even outside of the operating system.

Try to use 99 percent instead of 100 too for the CPU. So it doesn't Boost all the time. Learned it some time ago so it doesn't abuse the CPU. My G14 is now bearable. Initially was so hot and hated using it. Thinking of getting the 4070 version of this or the G14 4070 2024. This laptop is more for creators and us designers. Clearly not for this guy.

Sorry for this late reply, I'm using the Base Model (GV302XA) for 2 months in university already. I'm always set below 30% screen brightness, keyboard backlight on, 60hz, battery saver, silent mode with power limits in G-Helper, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi always on for my stylus and tws earbuds, it usually drains about 10% per hour in my using case. It's basically not as good as my friend's Zenbook but I'm happy with it (Also there's a time I secretly play Honkai Star Rail in class (15w/20w/25w) and it drains 15% in 30 minutes hehe)

I used my flox 16 in GPU disabled, manual fan curves and low CPU power because you don't need all that power day to day. and to game, I put it in reverse tent mode (so the hot air directly exhausts up) - it did not breach 60 degrees CPU and 75 degrees on all max settings (mind you in india with 27 degree ambient)
it's not that bad if you put sometime to tune it to your liking. it's no macbook definitely that you pick up and go.
