- KINDS OF KINDNESS MOVIE REVIEW | Double Toasted Bites - We saw that some people were wondering whether or not we were going to do at least an analysis of this movie but moreso, wondering if we were going to do a review and HERE YA' GO! We may not talk miuch about the dance scene in the movie and we don't wanna' spoil much but we do talk about the acting of Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons, and also discuss the trailer as Julian Green who didn't see the movie, was VERY confused with a shot of some dogs being in a car, and ... yeah, this movie's a lot of strange and we talk all about it!

Yorgos Lanthimos is one of those directors you would have an acquired taste for. You either like his weird, off-putting movies or you don't. While I do admire his unique voice for filmmaking, I can understand why he's not for everyone.
Ever since The Favourite I've always thought I wouldn't be too much into Yorgos' movies but I think they make for great movie talks. - *Nick Diaz* _(Editor, Host of The Chat Attack Podcast)_ ua-cam.com/users/TheChatAttack
I sat in the cinema and a scene where she was cooking .... I'm thinking what the fuck? And a guy behind me goes full on WHAT THE FUCK? HAHA oh and when the end credit started rolling everyone left quietly like it was a funeral.
LMAO this sounds like how a lot of screenings went with the end of Saltburn. That solo dance scene at the end had people kinda' speechless hahah - *Nick Diaz* _(Editor, Host of The Chat Attack Podcast)_ ua-cam.com/users/TheChatAttack
I remember watching the trailer and having the same thoughts Korey had, that it’s weird for the sake of being weird. I don’t mind absurdity and a film that makes you feel uneasy, as long as it has a point. I’ll still see it regardless just to form my own opinion.
Watched this movie on Saturday and it was by far the weirdest experience I've ever had. I joked with my friends after the movie that the director should be investigated because who thinks of a concept like that, especially the dogs.
I didn't have a damn clue what was going on. Not one damn clue.
I agree with Julien H. Really enjoyed seeing the movie and really have been enjoying tryna decipher all the themes and meanings of the movie. Definitely not as strong as Poor Things, but i think it's hard to watch Kinds of Kindness and at least be engaged in what's going on if you were a fan of Yorgos' other works.
I'm a big fan of Yorgos. Dogtooth, Killing of a Sacred Dee r and Alps are excellent. That said, Kinds of Kindness was a miss for me. Much like The Lobster, this felt like a parody of a Lathimos film.
this felt very much in line with Yorgos’ older style, (Dogtooth, The Lobster, Killing of A Sacred Deer) but with more of the wry wit he’s been honing in on with The Favourite and Poor Things. was a huge fan of this one, might be my favorite movie of the year so far.
Not seen this yet…….if anything it sounds v like a David Lynch film…..hard to explain.
0:06 lmao
I personally really liked it. Lanthimos likes poking fun at absurd human behavior and goes back to his original form here, like in Dogtooth. It works for some and doesn't for others.
Dang one of my most anticipated movies of the year barely gets a 10 minute review on the second channel ...
Just so you know I only took out about 3-5 minutes out of the review. So you didn't miss TOO much, but here is the VOD on Twitch if you want to watch it. www.twitch.tv/videos/2183572014 - *Nick Diaz* _(Editor, Host of The Chat Attack Podcast)_ ua-cam.com/users/TheChatAttack
@@doubletoastedbites5000 Thanks Nick!
I definitely dug this one. Love finding the hidden subtext and themes, but still was very entertained by the wild stories and humour
I hear there are 3 separate stories. Anthology with same actors different roles. Fox Searchlight glad they making low budget original flicks.
Who let the dogs out… Yorgos Lanthimos I guess lol
Looks cool
There was a time when the title of this movie is 'And'... 'AND'! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Review the new Donald glover trailer. “Bando and the world ends
The Movie Title Puzzles Me Because I Thought There Was gonna Be Alot of People Bringing Kindness To Everybody
Hollyweird at it again 😂
Shit they been at it hard over the last few months. Poor Things, this, and Saltburn? Trifecta of yikesness. - *Nick Diaz* _(Editor, Host of The Chat Attack Podcast)_ ua-cam.com/users/TheChatAttack
Emma stone is cool
Lanthimos is my Wes Anderson. Quirky and weird. I just cant stand Wes Anderson.
