in contemplating a norwegian cruise, coming from the u.s., i have found your videos to be a great source of information. and i like your calm demeanor. one thing i learned from watching this video is that i am very much leaning towards havila. i am definitely not the floating holiday camp sort of person. at. all. yikes!
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind comments! I loved both the MSC and Havila trips, and yes they are very much for different kinds of people I'd say. Have a great trip!
Hi, Just find your great video and we are following you to take MSC Euribia in early May 25. Could you please let me know which metro station in Copenhagen I can catch the free shuttle to cruise terminal? Thanks a lot. 😊
Great video, I am a tour operator and we have never done a cruise before and thought you gave a really good persepctive. I am leaning towards smaller ships now, thanks for the great upload! What month did you prefer to go on these cruises? thanks!
You’re welcome! I’m not a fan of high season as I don’t like a lot of kids (!) My favourite time is winter cruises to the north of Norway, but they are absolutely not for everyone :-)
Great video, but I have one or two questions. We are thinking of booking this for end of September. Have you been to the port of Hellesylt? If you have, what sightseeing excursion would you recommend? The other 2 ports it will stop at are Alesund and flám. Thank you
I have been to Hellesylt but not on a ship. There's a video from there on the channel. If there is a boat trip along the Geirangerfjord (unless your ship is doing that), then that would be a great way to spend your time. Otherwise, I can't really recommend specific excursions as everyone's likes and preferences are so different!
Thanks, David. We did go on the Hurtigruten from Bødo to Svolvær and that was sufficient for us. We really don't agree that so many of the bigger cruise ships are allowed down the fjords, but how else will so many get to see them when alternate means of travel may not have the capacity?
I think their policy for cruise ships is changing very soon by limiting the number of ships and possibly allowing zero emission vessels only. We went to Flåm by train in the wintertime and took the smaller ferry to the fjord, then a snowshoe tour the following day. It was quiet, quaint, no crowds & very beautiful (& cold).. 😊
That is gross. How much pollution are these ships putting into the atmosphere. Flam, years ago, were trying to ban these monsters because of the pollution.
People speak about polution but to stop the polution we needed to leave the boats ,avioes , cars, cellphones, tv's, stop writing in paper basicly stop the progression returning to the slavery to push the boats use the horses to push people etc.....Everything about the Green is beautiful but the case is are we all ready to return to the médium age ? I don't think so .
Enjoy your summer, David! Thank you for uploading videos. I like your podcasts a lot
Thanks so much! There’ll be videos published throughout the summer, although the podcast is taking a break 😁 Thanks as always for watching 🙌
Thank you so much for the great and helpful video. Will cruise Fiords in Euribia this September and it helped to get an overview ❤
You’re welcome. Have a fantastic trip!
Love it David, it looks like you had a great time, your videos are getting better and better mate 👍 I look forward to seeing your next installments 😊
Thank you so much! Longer videos from Flåm and Nordfjordeid to come, amongst others 😁 I hope you’re both well, and thanks for watching as always 🙌
Such an informative, helpful and beautiful video overall! Thank you and hoped you enjoyed your time!
I did indeed! Thanks so much for the lovely comment 🙏

One of the pizzas you showed had a grey base?.....do you know what it was made of??
It’s called a charcoal base pizza, how it’s made I’m not sure exactly but it is fantastic 😋
Thanks, very helpful
No worries, I hope it helps in planning your own trip. Thanks for watching! 🙌
Hey David, can you please tell us in which month your trip was? Thanks
Hi, this was early May 2024

@@lifeinnorway1 thank you
I'm here for the fantastic bread 🍞
That bread and that French onion soup dripping in cheese, omg I could live on that ❤️
I want to work there how to apply please
You can read all about working in Norway on our website at www.lifeinnorway.net
I like MSC's smaller ship the most.
There’s a lot to like about this one for sure. Thanks for watching 🙌

The food unlimited inside curiso
Sorry, no idea what you mean.
Why does Norway allow these huge ships???

The government, not Flåm. The town authorities are pretty desperate to retain the tourism, actually.
This one is Green.
