    Thoroughly enjoying your coverage of your baltic cruise. Keep up the great work and looking forward to your next stop. We are going on the Poesia on a Baltic cruise in Sept. 😊

    We departed Poesia's 2024 World Cruise in Southampton, just before you boarded your Baltic Sea venture. We began our trip on Jan 7 in Barcelona, 113 days later, Southampton.

    Hi, your video series of the msc poesia are so helpful !! I will be doing the same tour as you, and i was kind of lost about what to do at the cruise ports, if it was necessary to pay for the tours to know the cities we are visiting, and thanks to you i learn that is really easy to make the tours on your own. Thanks for sharing ! Great videos !!! 🎉

      Glad it was helpful! Yes many of these ports are perfect to just explore on your own 😊

    Considering this for our first ever cruise. Sight seeing is much higher on the list than sitting on a beach or by a pool. Any different suggestions?

    We are enjoying your videos with msc, we are travelling in august to warnemunde and norway. I dont drink sodas with sugar, do you know wich kind of sugarfree sodas there are avaible on board?

    • @theseasonedexpats
      @theseasonedexpats  11 місяців тому +1

      Thank you so much! We don't drink too much soda, so this is not from first-hand experience, but we know that MSC is not really brand-specific. Sometimes they have Coke products, sometimes Pepsi. Since you are sailing in Europe it is much more likely to be Coke. Coke Zero is probably your best bet, though there may be other "zero" drinks as well. The bartenders are very helpful when it comes to this, so just let them know you don't want sugar and they will help you out, even if you are getting cocktails with soda in them! Hope this helps!

    Very helpful, thanks. Did they do a white night and a formal dress up gala?

    • @theseasonedexpats
      @theseasonedexpats  8 місяців тому

      They did a gala night, yes. But they did not do a white night like they normally do. We are not sure if it was because of the location of the cruise or what, but no white night.

    Good sharing, enjoy your cruise. May I ask do you need to buy a drink package if you don't use alocholic drinks?

    • @theseasonedexpats
      @theseasonedexpats  10 місяців тому

      Not at all. The complementary beverages on an MSC cruise are non-bottled iced water, iced tea, lemonade, brewed coffee, tea, and then also juices at breakfast. Other than that you will need to get a drinks package or pay per drink. They do have an alcohol-free package though which we think is between $25 and $30 per person per day, which would then include non-alcoholic cocktails, sodas, coffees, juices, etc. Or you can just pay per drink (honestly, MSC has some of the most affordable prices out there - sodas, waters and juices on our cruise were around 3 Euro/3.5 USD, maybe 4 USD).

    16 more days until we leave the US and fly into Copenhagen for this cruise! What are the rules about bringing things like snacks or drinks back on board after a port stop? I’d love to stock up on some German candy! What’s the age range like? My husband and I will be 25 during the cruise and wonder what non drinking things there are to do

      That is awesome, you will have a great time! We found that the ages skewed a bit higher, but you kind of have to expect that on a cruise like this. Everyone was super nice though (we are in our 30s), and there were a few pockets of younger people. Great thing was that there were pretty much no children! As far as buying things in ports and bringing them on board, generally you are not allowed to do that. We have the terms of carriage from MSC here, where you can see they do state that anything purchased in ports will be taken and returned to you at the end of the cruise in section 11.7 (www.msccruisesusa.com/-/media/us/documents/conditions-of-carriage-final-230713.pdf). But maybe it is worth chancing it for some German candies 😉

      We will have a further video on all of this, but we can say that the total cost, including our drinks package and before the MSC Voyager discount was about 3,000 Euro for the two of us for this 9 day cruise.
