Welcome aboard! We are so glad you enjoyed the video. If you are familiar with North Carolina - we recently posted our hike to Cold Mountain and have more coming. Thanks for your comment and kinds words!
Marion to the Parkway requires a ride on “the devil’s whip”. A nightmare of a ride, indeed. But if you’re coming from the Charlotte area via I40, the Burnesville path makes for a long trek. After our hike, however, we love to visit Homeplace and/or Cast Iron Kitchen to unwind. We love Burnesville. Thanks for the tip!
Sorry to tell you this, but the sign for Cattail Peak does not mark the actual summit. You have to bushwack to the real summit, where there is a survey marker. You say that there are 54 6000 foot peaks east of the Mississippi. Where did you get your list? I think that there are actually more than 60, depending on what list you use. Also, what two peaks are outside of NC? Mount Washington in New Hampshire is one. Aren't there a few more in Tennessee?
Thank you 🙏
You are definitely welcome. We enjoy these hikes as much as making the videos and sharing them. Thanks for commenting!

Dude I’m a local and you should have started in Burnsville and went up! Driving to Marion to the parkway is a nightmare.
