I enjoy seeing this now and getting to the "could we get 12 bangers?" question. The answer is yes. Yes we can. TMBTE is perfect, start to finish. Even the songs one might not like *as much* are still so damn good.
Their new producer isn't getting enough recognition and praise... their previous releases weren't as crisp and full-sounding as this. Additionally, they've taken their song writing to another level. Overall just an amazing band who are paving a new way for heavy music this year.
Honestly all Sleep Token songs are bangers. Their two previous albums are perfect from start to finish. And yes, you can never know exactly what they will release. All their songs are totally different yet are very consistent at the same time. Great band
Yup! A lot of people didn’t vibe with the last album because they were craving more heaviness but that didn’t mean it wasn’t good. It was an Amazing album for what it was. Telomeres was on repeat for weeks for me.
I heard the summoning on TikTok the day it released and I’ve been ADDICTED to where I’ve went through all there past songs already, so I’m with you on that when you say it’s been a long time since a band has just grabbed you and won’t let go
Really have enjoyed watching your ST reactions. I don't usually *do* reaction videos, so, take that for whatever that's worth lol. Anyway, the story about Sleep Token: Sleep Token's 'lore' is basically that Vessel, the lead singer (and pianist and lead song writer and like fifty other things for them, seriously), had an entity, 'Sleep' come to him in a dream, and he now serves as the mouthpiece for the words/message of Sleep. And around him are other members of the cult of Sleep, assisting in that goal, each represented by a roman numeral. II, for example, is the drummer. The costumes and the like are effectively the cult's uniform/look? But that's also why you see them (and fans) referring to 'Worship' whenever the songs are played or shared or whatever - thematically, it's all an act of worship for the entity of Sleep. I find it interesting to note that basically all of their songs are love songs, in some way or another (and occasionally very twisted love songs). On a side note, I fully understand being addicted to Sleep Token. They ended up being a bit of an obsession for me when I first found them, and I didn't listen to anything else for like, months. When you have the time and desire, if you haven't already, take a look at their old albums and EPs. Sundowning is probably my favorite album of all time, or at least competing for it, and This Place Will Become Your Tomb isn't far behind. Edit note: I hadn't fully watched the video through with my comment, perhaps obviously. Take your time getting around to the other albums, they're so worth it, but definitely don't throw off your groove. They'll always be there. :D
I’d say at LEAST 95% of an album is needed to be bangers for AOTY. Truth be told Sleep Tokens last album is that for me. There’s like one song on it I don’t heavily fuck with but sometimes I am in the mood for it. Otherwise it’s basically flawless. And all four of these new tracks are just even more refined than that album. I think everyone is seeing that. And unless there is a MASSIVE drop in quality on the rest of the album (highly unlikely) then this thing very well could be one of the most flawless albums all year
we know bc a combination of rumors, an alleged leak, the tracklist being posted on Genius Lyrics, and A LOT of overthinking 🤣 also the last time I loved an album, start to finish, zero skips, was Welcome to the Black Parade. but AOTY doesn't have to be a Zero Skip masterpiece for me personally. This album is already AOTY tho bc all 4 singles are DAMN GOOD, and so far it's turning out to be a Zero Skip masterpiece edit: turned on notifs bc I'm so excited for u to dive into their discography like I did!
My back to back banger albums are Seven Spires - ‘Emerald Seas’ and ‘Gods of Debauchery’, Ghost - ‘Prequelle’ and ‘Impera.’ I love the first three songs Sleep Token dropped but ‘Aqua Regia’ still needs to grow on me, I was really hoping for another heavy banger like ‘The Summoning.’ I’m thinking there will be some more heavy songs on the album with 8 songs left for us to hear, this song seems to be the ‘Love You Want’ of the album but I like that a lot more.
I have two top fave albums that are perfect from start to finish, that I will take to an dessert island. Albums that I listen to several times a week. Sleep Token: Sundowning (2019) La Dispute: Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair (2009) There are other good albums out there, sure, but nothing like these two. Not as timeless and perfect. And I have a feeling the new album Take Me Back To Eden from Sleep Token could be Number 3. We have to see and wait 🫶
okay, start to finish would have to be the story we tell ourselves by nothing more, its pretty awesome. as far as a band that so far hasnt missed any of its songs would have to be AlterBridge, its made up of the members from creed and myles kennedy. for me everysong they made has been incredible.
Quick fun fact about the title Aqua Regia- Aqua Regia translates from Latin to 'Royal Water" and is a mixture of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid. It's a fuming liquid. Freshly prepared aqua regia is colourless, but it turns yellow, orange or red within seconds from nitrosyl chloride and nitrogen dioxide formation. It was given its name by alchemists because of its ability to dissolve gold
The Family Disease by Oceana is soo good! My recommendation of Great album start to finish is Alien by Northlane every song. so good. and then once you understand the meanings and that what the singer is talking about in the songs are real life events that has happened to him makes it even more special.
Personally, clairvoyant by the contortionist and vildhjarta masstaden under vatten are perfect albums start to finish. This sleep token album seems set to flow very nicely track to track.
Hello I'd like to recommend the song Empire from a very unknown Italian band, Amia Venera Landscape :D It's from a fantastic, heavy, metalcore/prog/post-rock album. And really I'd recommend listening to the first three songs from it without pausing Love your channel!
If you haven’t done a deep dive yet, they can do it all. Heavy, melodic, non-formulaic, beautiful. Above ave drummer, singer, and song writing. They have no genre. Start to finish Dance Gavin Dance Mothership, as far as albums in the metal-medalcore….or just heavier generally speaking is fantastic. Every track, and gets better as it goes. Albums in general The Cure Disintegration is a perfect album. No skip tracks
It’s funny this song reminds you of a video game cause the first time I heard this song it sounded like it came right out of an RPG like the Final Fantasy Games.

The addiction is real. Constantly playing in my head at work. I love it.

Every ST banger is in my playlist😀💙
What if vessel whips out a violin next? 😱. 🤣. Dudes can do so many genres.
Three Days Grace' One-X album will always be one of my top albums without a bad song.
Katatonia - Sky Void Of Stars
On repeat all day. Great band and album.

Aw thank you so much! Your comment was very informative and it makes me even more excited to delve deeper into ST. I really appreciate it!
@@Killermcknight Happy to! They're a super interesting band, and I usually have to make myself shut the hell up about them lol
Worship.
This album is my AOTY! My favourite band of all time! 🖤
Anthology by Alien Ant Farm is one I can listen to front to back repeatedly.

I’d call this one lounge music. Glad to hear you appreciate them so much, as do I!! Nice reaction 😊
Yes! Thank you!
No one ever knows Oceana! They're really dope.
Lateralus is bangers front to back, and I'll die on that hill.
'A tear in the fabric of life' is a perfect album start to finish, similarly theatric and ambient to sleep token but much heavier.

If you have any doubt that Sleep Token can create a good album from start to finish, just listen to This Place Will Become Your Tomb in one go.

Machine Head The Blackening !!
We got 12 bangers
Yeah we did I've been listening to the album none stop! take me back to eden at 7 minutes is orgasmic
Next Sleep Token songs should be another two part-er: Atlantic and then Hypnosis

My albums I could jam all the time would be city of evil by avenged sevenfold and fallen by evanescence!
Personally, clairvoyant by the contortionist and vildhjarta masstaden under vatten are perfect albums start to finish.

You kinda look and sound like the guy who plays Coach in Letterkenny
Fuckin' embarrassing!

Totally the vibe I got. Like FF15, FF8 town music. Amazing.
@@ninja3687 exactly! And for me also FFX
Yeeess!
Periphery P4 album and any tesseract album for me. There isn't a tesseract song i don't like.
Bruh hollow knight has a great soundtrack, so that comparison is a compliment haha
You definitely need to check out some actual videos from sleep token
