As a child, I used to find programs like this unbearably boring. Today, I found it very interesting, enlightening and enjoyable. Life might be better if we could live in reverse...?
I bought these VHS tapes for my mother years ago. They were out of print and cost me an arm and a leg. But I knew she'd love them!

Yes that's what he said.
Knowledgeable presenters. Not so on ARS today.
Love it
contrary to what Hugh S says here - James II did not try to impose Catholicism he tried to impose toleration for Catholics and protestant dissenters. however the English were not interested in toleration, interesting that both of James II's daughters; Mary II and Anne had no surviving children, punishment for their treason I suppose. I could listen to Arthur N for hours.
Great video, wish this informative presentation was still on TV now. However, 9.52 did this fine chap just grab his nuts on camera? The 80s was an innocent age.
Maybe... LOL
Leave them shoes on my fossil stone tile, sit yo ass on my 16th century chair while you drink tea and eat crumpets from my Ming dynasty Chinawear.
