Real craftsmanship is so rare anymore. I appreciate these videos more than you could ever know.
I was given the Story of English furniture on two VHS tapes many years ago while learning to be a cabinet maker. Alas my tapes were damaged in a house flood. I never thought id see part one and now we have part two. Thank you so much for putting these on UA-cam
Absolutely love it! Thank you for uploading and sharing on UA-cam where everyone can enjoy it.
I wish the BBC still made things like this. There is so little decent information online for furniture.
Beautiful, my life is now complete. Many thanks.
You're welcome,,
but your life isn't complete yet,
there's still a Side 3 & Side 4,,
just keep having patience... :-D
Multiwizard....I'm waiting patiently! 👍
@@Multiwizard I did notice that this didn’t go as far as the Victorian era but hardly dared ask for more. I shall wait for as long as it takes. Thanks again.
53 years young, just taken up woodworking, can’t get enough info, this 3 part series is the bees 🐝 knees, cheers from England🤓👍
Wonderful! Thank you for uploading this. After your comments after uploading Side 1 I was afraid we’d never see this. Arthur Negus was a part of my growing up and there is very little video of his calm, warm expertise on the net. Thank you!
" . . . the support it needed; fluted and reeded . . ." Poetry.
Feet and inches? Be still my heart - as good as a hug.
I will forever know how to make a lathe.
Look how young he is!
Arthur got a bit too comfortable with those drawers.
ua-cam.com/video/ZcsdyFdwOVw/v-deo.html He's positively aroused by this piece.
Pine? You peasant! 😂
Is side 3 & 4 available? :) I love these!
Mahogany, do you know where you're going to?
