Hi ...The FUNCTION of the light energy is more important, as it explains why the rate of photosynthesis increases ( because more light energy is used for photolysis of water and this splits more water molecules to produce more hydrogen ions etc
If based on KSSM textbook procedure, it''s not an important point ( not mentioned ), perhaps it could be considered a precaution but better to mention precautions from the KSSM textbook. The important steps in procedure WHICH HELP YOU GET THE MARKS relate to the 3 VARIABLES & HOW TO HANDLE THEM, REPEAT THE EXPERIMENT TO IMPROVE ACCURACY OF RESULTS, ONE OR TWO PRECAUTIONS ( as mentioned in textbook), AND BASIC STEPS OF PREPARATION SUCH AS LABELLING OF TEST TUBES ETC. Basically, follow the KSSM TEXTBOOK PROCEDURE, which is sometimes different from the procedure in the old KBSM textbook.
for operational definition, can i write " Photosynthesis is a process where the oxygen gas is produced and released by Hydrilla sp." for the definition.
The core definition of photosynthesis is related to the production of organic food substances by green plants, using carbon dioxide, water and light energy. The oxygen is less important as it is a byproduct., although it is used to determine the rate of photosynthesis in the experment. Maybe you can combine it with the shortened basic definition.
Also remember to write the other 2 IMPORTANT parts of your operational definition..."as shown by sub RV" and "RV AFFECTED BY MV".. which help to garner the marks. SEE THE EXAMPLES GIVEN IN THE VIDEOS🙂
