Thanks for the memories, I was there in June of 82
80s disneyland the way i remembered as a kid, thanks!!!
+reward for chicani !!! You're welcome! My first Disneyland visit was in 1994, so I didn't get to see all of this, but it is definitely cool to watch these retro videos!
I was 8 years old back in 1982 early eighties and Easter Sunday's was the times we went to Disneyland I have not been to Disneyland probably in almost 20 years and I'm not sure if I really have any desire to go back LOL
I know right. Adventure thru Innerspace, Peoplemover, etc...
I remember this video as a kid. Still watch it all the time.
Love this video!! This was about a year before the first trip I remember to Disneyland. Stuff looks familiar
Hopper Challenge - Video 69
I love these vintage videos. The boy loading up on all the desserts reminds me of my son. 😂
Before the dark times, before the annual passholders!!!
Haha
The date on the opening credits is shown as "MCMXXXII", which is actually the Roman numeral for 1932. It should say "MCMLXXXII."
That's interesting! Never noticed that before!
I noticed that too! I had finally made it a point this past year to learn how to read dates in Roman numerals, and I was like “wait a darn minute.”
i love it! I wish I was a Disneyland at the age of 8 in 1982.
23:22 Geese that sings "Pretty Good Sure You're Born" in Splash Mountain.
I gotta figure out so many things, like tranferring VHS tapes ti digital. This is awesome. Hopper Challenge!
I was there in 1980 at age 12. SO FUN!!
Thank you 😊
The geese at 24:39 are who are now dancing on Zip-a-Dee-Lady in Splash Mountain ride.
The old days
In this video the Critter Country was still Bear Country.
This is awesome...sadly here in Floordia WDW has lost much of this 'feel' you see here.
I agree. However, they're starting to do some things better recently. We'll see if it continues. The worst part now is that the crowds literally never die down at all. There used to be an off-season, and now it's busy almost every day.
Crowds are horrible, one cannot even move from inch to inch
Crowds suck.
@19:08 people called Snow White “Walt’s follies”, not Disneyland.
Although he did have trouble getting financing for the Park.
a day at disneyland is amazing
+Planet Pihl For sure!
Disneyland in the pre 90s 80s of the pre pixar era of the disney studio & Parks.
Weird how we don't get to see some of the other signature Fantasyland rides in this souvenir video, such as Dumbo, Mad Tea Party, and the Carousel, although this was probably because Fantasyland was in the process of its 1983 makeover.
23:56 Who Shot a Hole in My Sombrero scene.
23:46 Animatronics that sing Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah in Splash Mountain finale scene.
12:23 Ballad of Davy Crockett.
This narrator sounds like the voice of the Easter Bunny from “the Easter Bunny is Coming to Town”.
