I have this drain. Seemed like a good idea when buying but soon found to be more of pain which you described. lots of swearing on my part too. Well the easy way of doing this after walking away and doing some thinking, I found using a male to female swivel at the block then a straight fitting on the hose made it a bit easier. Once the swivel is in place, if you ever have to the turbo back off which you will, you will just need to disconnect the straight fitting from the swivel and not have to deal with the water pipe being in the way.
Seeing your turbo with two v-band clamps makes me laugh hearing you say it's a pain in the *ss. This weekend I've been cursing (almost throwing wrenches) because of the studs in the triangular shaped uppipe. Anyways, nice modification, looks killer! Might catch you at the nordschleife again in the future😉💪🏼
@@robind.3651 The turbo clamps are a breeze to fit! I had a problem with the wastegate v-band clamps which for some reason are total shit to fit. I hope we meet again! I love your Foz!
🤣🤣🤣 I usually buy most of my parts directly from Special Performance. Since every person lives in a different country, I don’t know if there are universal links that would suit everyone which is why I always try to at least include the part numbers so it will be easier for people to search for them.
@@teddyandresjr6467Would you also like him to chew your food for you? Seriously, he already provides the part numbers. Just search for them on your favourite e-tailer.

I feel your pain!! 😅😅😅
In a case as you described, wouldn’t it be easier to disconnect the oil drain at the turbo side?
@@TheGCJourney Suppose it depends on your setup and what's in the way.

Our builds are pretty much similar besides the rotated turbo, almost identical.
Men of good taste! 😜
@@TheGCJourney wait I might be already following you. Edit I just found you and started following you on there.

I'm very curious on that quick steering rack.
From what 2 of my friends who installed them have told me - it should be every GC owner’s first mod!
(If you have the 2.0GT euro version)
Thats why its called "GC Journey" lol
Very true! 🤓🤓🤓
