Mike , I'm praying for your recovery so you can get back on the air at WGN. I m having symptoms that I need to go get checked out as and your story is an inspiration for me to stop procrastinating and get s colonoscopy that I need .
God Bless you Mike. My father had colon cancer at 60. Remission after the initial mass that was remover. 5 years later it came back. He was able to keep the tumor marker in check the remainder of his life. He passed at 72 from a heart attack. There is always hope, you just need faith and family!
My Mum had it real bad in her late 50's............she ended up with a stoma apparently for life after having a large part of her colon removed. 5 years later it came back. Again surgically dealt with plus chemo BUT they reversed her stoma which as a bonus. She has been free of it for over 15 years now - she is 82 in Feb. So - there is hope and many DO survive.
So many kids are raised on junk food literally from their toddler days. This is why there is a “rise” in colon cancer in adults in their 30-40s. Starting in the early 1980’s mothers were too lazy to cook meals in home and instead turned to junk food. This trend continues but much worse. Parents are feeding “chicken nuggets” to toddlers.
God bless you in your battle with this terrible disease I was dx with prostate cancer 1 1/2 yrs ago & had radiation & hormone deprivation therapy I might need a colonoscopy but last time in 2020 they said to have one in 2027 Maybe it should be done sooner
BUT if he got the meddipoke couple yrs ago, good luck with that, he shd b making other plans, sadly. plenty of pple we know who trusted the gmt and got it, are terminally ill or dyed already.
Diet is so important to prevent cancer. Having a strong immune system and a healthy liver is paramount. High blood sugar plays a role too as cancer feeds on sugar and causes damage to cells. Mike has a great attitude which helps, and the support of many people.
Mike should get his vitamin D3 level checked to make sure he has a good level. Search the link between vitamin d and cancer. Many who go the chemo route have much better success when their vitamin d lels are in the higher range. Very important in my research. My grandpa died at 95 of colon cancer, my daddy at 78, plus two cousins who were in their 60s. Farmers using pesticides, processed foods, excess sugar intake are big risk factors.

It's the food with pesticides, it's the GMO foods, it's the pollution.
Many prayers to you my good man
Sorry to hear. My dad got colon cancer at age 34, when his appendix burst. That was 1955. He lived a nice life until age 60.
Prayers in the hope you feel better. 🩵💙🩵🛐🌹

What about the covid vaccine?? That is a possible culprit
Dear Mike, please research the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting (in addition to your medical treatments). Doing so may prove very beneficial.
the pointee he got cple yrs ago was likely not very beneficial....
Red meat 🥩 the cause !
no something sharp n pointy is likely the cause, it destroys your immune system...
