@@DLMtechgarage so I just took the whole thing out of the 990 plugged it into the motherboard and tucked it the PSU basement. Dude, it’s literally the first time I’ve done a case swap with a Dell which is kinda crazy considering I build one PC a week on average. So in doing my research I saw your video on the adapters and it’s mind boggling that I never knew about them. I originally was going to use a Dell XPS 8100 and it would boot but kept turning off. Thanks for the video! I'm a fan of the case you chose for the swap, good job! Is it possible for an gradual analog fade from color to color on the case fans rather and instant change?
Thanks Uncle M - I'm not sure. I used a mix of 120 and 140 ML Up Here fans, which to be honest suck. I think for the cheapo fans, Asia Horse is the best. I took out the ARGB fans the case came with and used them in another build. Check out the Asia Horse FS-9001's, they are pretty sweet!
hey man nice video, is there any other way to ged rid of the error messages on startup because i threw all those cables in the bin and i always have to press f1 to continue into windows.
Hey man Thanks!!! What error are you getting at start up? I forgot to mention the rear exhaust fan, but do you have that hooked up to the board? Let me know everything that is on the start up screen. It is kind of annoying.
Killer! Is there anything in the intrusion sensor other than a switch? Wondering if I could just splice those 2 leads or jump the header to clean it up a bit
I didn't try any of that. Maybe if you get a 2 pin header it might work, but if the switch has an up and a down position there has to be some sort of relay going back and forth so I'm not 100% sure. But the cool part is you can literally tape it down and hide it. It's really small so it'll fit in a lot of places, the PSU basement is a godsend for that kind of thing. Hey Ant, thanks for supporting the channel and being a subscriber, your support means the world my dude!! Thank You!!
it's just a switch.... switches work on or off..making contact or open contact to work... a voltmeter will tell you if it is NC (Normally Closed ) or NO ( Normally Open ) when you push it In...It must be Closed as that is what the jumper pin does when used.... so just cutting the wires and soldering them or twisting and securing them would work...a jumper pin would be the easiest solution... old hard drives have those jumpers... i usually saved extra ones with my screws...
Hey dude!!! So for that build I used 2 Up Here! Green LED 140’s and the other 3 were a set of Up Here! 120’s that came with a controller.
