3:15 Maybe that myth comes from the fact that characters can get hit out of shield as it shrinks, but yoshi's does not shrink.
You mean getting shield poked? Cuz that’s what I’m thinking.
@@kyrito11 Yes, Yoshi cannot be shield poked because at no point does any part of his body stick outside of his shield. In this sense, Yoshi's shield IS technically "stronger" than other characters' shields, but in a much different sense than the way they were thinking in the video.
At the same time, the myth probably comes from the fact that there's no clear visual cue on the exact health remaining of your shield. It feels like it's getting dark faster when it's about to break, so I would say most people just think that his shield has more HP remaining than it actually does.

11:19 Yes we shulk players do know about this trick, dubbed zoomy backslash, advanced shulk players may try and use this to recover in angles that are generally thought to be impossible (bs on stages like kalos) or it can be accidental, as arts are constant in shulk gameplay. It was stated in the video to be solely timing, but certain monados (generally ones that affect gravity like speed and jump) are more potent than others.

also, the same glitch happens with air slash and vision! doing air slash when an art runs out sends Shulk way further up, and with vision he falls at kaclang speeds

I have a small grammatical correction the Monado is the sword Shulk carry’s the abilities are referred to as Monado Arts or Arts for short. Sorry for being a grammar nazi.
I've always disliked "send me your clips to review/compile" type videos, but this format serves much more of a purpose than the other ones because they "lab" wierd things they find in the clips so the videos are actually worthwhile. Keep it up!

Tareq Al-Hasan Yeah, but sometimes you see something really cool and are left wondering how it happened, so it’s much nicer when immediately after the clip is a showcase of how it happened.

Erik Cobra you know that some clips don’t make it in videos all together. So it really doesn’t matter. You would never know if your clip has been seen but not chosen, or still has to be seen.
I guess their answer would be: become a patreon and never run the risk of that happening 😆

Wondered this too. I sent a batch of 5 clips (I know they only accept max 2 at a time) and I haven't seen any of them yet. Either they got shown for the members only or they simply did not watch them because I sent 3 more clips than what was allowed to send. Either way, it's their choice to watch/show whichever clips they want, so I'm not judging. =P

When Isabelle does fishing rod (usually smash input, but can happen with tilt input), there is a massive Ridley size blind spot when reeling back, right next to her
Yes, the rod is supposed to catch on the way back, but the blind spot makes it near impossible
@Muse Suse Look at it this way, when programing, either intentionally or by accident, you leave a gap where characters can stay safely without getting hit, even though it looks like it should hit
This can be seen with Bowser's Down smash having no hitbox in him (Intended that way), or Isabelle's rod not grabbing characters in front of her in the reel in (Which is what it's supposed to do)

How was link able to hit charizard with so much knockback at 8% that it even was untechable??

Lots of multihit moves in Smash have what are called linking hits, where the knockback is set at a very high level to ensure that the hits of the move can properly combo into each other at most percents.
In most scenarios, this means multihits (such as Link's aerial Spin Attack) will connect properly and the last hit will be... well, the last hit. But in some cases, multihits will end prematurely for one reason or another, meaning the last hitbox that connects with the opponent will be one of those extremely high-knockback linking hits. That's why Charizard died at such a low percent there (Spin Attack ended prematurely due to Link grabbing the ledge).
It's not a *super* common occurrence, but it happens a fair amount with characters who have those multihit up specials (Roy, Peach, etc.)
But the game said yoshi could never be shield poked!...3:00

Hey guys! Love your channel. You are doing content that I do not see anywhere else. Literally no one is uploading content of just labbing different moves and scenarios.
I would really like a list of the myths you do in the description for easy reference with like confirmed, busted, plausible, etc.
Also, I have been interested in doing something myself but I th in no you guys could do a better job and would give you more content ideas: I have always wanted to test moves against each other and to see which one wins and why. And have a ranking for each move type (smash, special, aerial, supermove, etc) I would love to do it but I dont have a partner to do each and every scenario. I even made a spreadsheet but labbing each move against each other on my own is too time consuming. Perhaps you'd like a crack at it!

[10:30] For those that don't know, this actually wasn't pure luck. There is a visual indicator for when the platforms come back. It's when the background of the stage stops scrolling so you can intentionally use the platforms to recover.
I actually discovered something with Chrom. If you go to training and pick omega battlefield, choose Chrom and Pac Man as the CPU. Put is damage at thirty then get close to him and up-b. After that he is midair, then you want to down air him and he dies with no chance of recovery.
(I tested this with different percents and the only one that worked well was 30)

No, at the clip with Kirby and Sans. Kirby can only absorb ONE thing at a time. Sans got close enough for him to get affected by wind box, then shot his laser at Kirby while he was being pulled in. Kirby tried to suck up Sans, so he couldn't eat the laser.
The shulk art thing is called Zoomy Backslash, and yeah you got the conditions exactly right. Fix shulk plz sakurai
For some reason I always thought different characters had different shield strength (like Bowser had more than Picchu), not sure why I thought that haha.

Yoshi's shield has the same health but different properties. His shield always fully encompasses him but he can't really be Shield poked. That very technically makes it almost unnoticably better.

No, he wasn't being sucked in yet. He was only in the windbox on the edge of the move that pulls you into the grab. There would be a grab release animation if he was being sucked in.
