My charger got low, then the on off jump start switch on the left would not lock, But; after charging some I could turn the jump start switch into a locked position. Good video, thanks.
Great review and I like how to demonstrated its main uses. I have one and I prefer the big jump starter compressor combos compared to the smaller ones. I love this set-up; I have used it to jump start trucks and charge devices while camping. I used the air compressor on basketballs and vehicle tires of the size 265/70R16 after installing a tire plug. The inflator/deflator, I used it to inflate camping air mattresses. Ive had mine for two years and still holding strong and hasn't let me down yet.
Bought the 1500 the other day from Walmart. It was completely dead right out of the box and when I plugged it in, the green indicator light wouldn't come on. I left it plugged in for about 30 mins and it never would come on or show that it was charging. I took it back and got my $181 back. I saw that it said to charge for 36 hrs but saw where your green light came on as soon as you plugged it in. Should I have just left it plugged in longer? I really just wanted one for the battery booster anyways. I had a Booster Pac brand booster several years ago and it worked great, will probably just pick up another one of those from Napa. Thanks and good video.
Can't exactly remember the power station situation right out of the box. But just a bit ago I I plugged it up to charge it as I had run it dead when using it to power my inverter... my model is 1358 or 1538 and has the 12v cigarette up front and 1 USB port and all the other power station gadgets. Anyway, when I plugged it up to charge on light that came on is the red on showing it dead. And then when I press the button right below the 3 color charging lights it turned the light to the right green. Not sure how your set up was but I assume it is similar. So, yeah, to see it was charging I have to hit the button when it's plugged up and the red light is lit. Hope I helped in any way except a negative way!
Connect positive first, negative having less potential won't arc. The higher the voltage, the greater the chance of arcing and fusion. On a car if negative first and you are touching any metal part of car, when attaching positive there is possibility of arcing through you. Your body becomes part of the circuit
I have the 2100a model I got from AAP but plug ins don't work. Does it have to be hooked up to car battery to work? Obviously, I'm no electrician. Only my USB works & it takes all day to charge a phone. In SC on day 4 of no power due to Hurricane Helena.
No. It can only charge my small ThinkPad for about 20 minutes tops before waking the dead with its low voltage alarm. It could only charge my cell phone for about 40 minutes. And that's after completely charging the unit. It's a pile of shit. No way should anyone ever trust this device to jump a dead car battery.
@99f234 I ended up buying a rechargeable boat battery with a 600 watts converter. it cost less than this product. I can get 6-7 hours of playtime from that other option.
The instructions don't show that there is two settings for the inflator function switch. One setting is for the tire inflator the other is for the port that inflates other stuff.
You need a new battery,I just received a battery from a company online! On the back of the jumper you will see (at the bottom) a panel , remove 6 Phillips screws to access the battery! Remove the battery by removing 2 bolts and nuts ( on the positive and negative terminals) slide the battery out slightly to access the bolt and nuts! When you order and receive a identical replacement battery, you are good to go! The battery is less than $50 ( free shipping). I bought my jumper knowing that it wouldn't hold a charge,$10 from someone, ordered a new battery and got it today, charged up already, aired my tires up! Now I have a jumper for around $55 total.
When I bought this thing from Costco 9 years ago it was 69 dollars. Con is that besides being heavy as a don't know what, if you have to ever replace the battery, the battery cover is a mofo to take off after removing the six associated screws. Over the years, the battery panel/cover literally melts into the slot that supports the cover to the base of the battery compartment. It would be wise to remove the battery panel/cover and line the base slot with some heat resistant grease or oil...like WD-40 or bulb grease.
I have one of these and I am not happy with it, I blew a fuse on the AC and it is buried way inside the unit. Shouldn’t a fuse be easily accessible. The tire pump is poor design, no digital readout of the tire pressure, just that shitty dial gauge, plus you cannot set it to shut off at a certain number of pounds. Having to turn the battery jumper on to power the usb port is stupid. Do not buy one of these poor designs, not worth the high cost, I am bringing mine back to Walmart.
This Schumacher SJ1332 is a complete pile of shit. About $165 and it can only charge a cell phone via USB from 19% to 52% before the loud, constant low-voltage alarm goes off. That's after 12 hours of charging the pack to 100%. There is no way this thing could ever jump start a dead car battery. Another time, it could only charge a small laptop for 20 minutes before the same wake-the-dead low voltage alarm went off. The engineers should be ashamed.
I have the same box I can’t figure out how to get the ac plugs to work I lost my instructions any one let me know I tried everything. I can get the usb plug to work but not the outlets on the front of the box
Great review. I have the exact one a bit expensive but worth it
I think you're on a great train! I like that you've been reviewing beefier and beefier power supplies!
More to come!
Great video

Thanks For watching Ryan and please subscribe for more tech!
I haven't to have that train unit. And you help me today how to charge it? Thank you so very much sir. I love you radio, you have a nice day.
Thanks for watching, Glad I could help and enjoy your day too!

Same exact thing here. I'm taking mine back in the morning. Charge light won't come on and it's completely dead.

Is it a rule that you always connect and disconnect the positive clip first from the battery?
Connect positive first, negative having less potential won't arc. The higher the voltage, the greater the chance of arcing and fusion. If your plugs aren’t working, I’d recommend taking it back and getting it replaced. It seems like there’s a defect in the product.
Does this one also charge the batter or just jump start ?
It only jumpstart vehicles but it charges devices like phones and tablets
@@BertrandTechMan I highly doubt this unit could ever jump a car battery. It can't even charge a cell phone.
great video,thank-you.,,,
Glad you enjoyed it

No adjustable air inflater?
Yes it has a inflator
Is this a charger or just a jump starter?
Jump starter for vehicles and charger for devices
can i hook a PS4 and projector? if so how long of a battery life would that support
I tried the same thing while camping and it lasted for a few minutes then shut down on overload.

Can I charge my Schumacher by hooking it to my car battery?
No if you could it would take forever it’s such a large battery
Puedes traducirlo a Español, es buen video.

Why are there 10 songs playing at the same time?!
because it's a concert!

If you want to conserve battery when battery is low and you need a jump, turn off radio heater/AC. You’d probably not had blown a fuse
Also, do you have a better product
Not worth it. Lights out over here and it won’t even keep simple light running
1200 VOLTS???? LOL
OPPS you know what I mean !

Mine won't charge anymore. When plugged in the green charge light never comes on and charge % stays at 0. Only used it twice. Any advice
