The price on these bikes is constantly changing. The X1 hovers around $700-$800 while the X2 is around $1000 and was $700 around Black Friday. I have affiliate links to both bikes on Walmart and Temu so if you do want to buy one check out both to see which currently has the better price. Also, sometimes on Temu, it will randomly send you a thing for $100-$300 off but make sure you read the terms so you know exactly what you are getting. Hope this helps explain why I was kind of vague about the pricing in this video 🤙
Bought my 6 year old the cheaper one a year ago, rides on 9 acres. Knock on wood haven't had a single issue he's 4 foot 85 lbs. Had to weaken the shock so he could touch at first lol
They sell all the parts on the Mototec site (I'm not affiliated, I've been looking at a different MotoTec product for a while) such that you could theoretically build an entire engine from parts alone - with even a minor amount of cross compatibility that would make a huge pool of engine parts to play with...mod/upgrade city, you hit the jackpot man
I really like your description of the feel of a smaller bike on the trail. Brings me back to my first two wheel adventures as a kid. I was lucky enough to buy a 1980 YZ50G a few years ago, awesome little 5 speed trail bike!
Def wanna see the 250cc then take it and maybe upgrade it with better components.. Muffler , bars , suspension , chain and see how sturdy it actually is. Cause I’m interested in one and wanna see how good it will actually be through someone I trust! Subbed since the beginning!
For installing the grips, put like five zip ties into the grip and use them as "rails" to slide the grip to the bars. Now the zips will get a bit stuck once you got the grips fully in, but just pull the ties out with some pliers and pulling the zip ties will force the grip to slide all the way. Super handy!
Those 150cc pitster pro's, thrumpstars, yfc's are awesome. I had one for a few years. Went from a 15t front sprocket to a 17t. Damn pit bike did 60+mph floating valves. Was an absolute monster. Went riding all the time with my buddies on their 250's. Obviously i wasnt as fast on the straight stretches but tbh i would almost want a 190cc pitster with the 5 speed over a brand name 250. The wow factor is more than enough to put a smile on your face, let alone it being a monster and very comfortable being low to the ground.
I love these little pitters. Kept two of my sister's old bike. Engine kits are cheap and now I have a 155 in what used to be the 110. Have a 190 in her old 140. Great cheap fun projects
reminds me of bikes and beards videos like this, wish they made more but this was great. Also Hondas trail bikes like 125f and 250f have keys, Most smaller bikes like 110's do as well for many companies.
I bought a used x2 with a blown motor and put a pirahna 140 in. Not much left of the original bike any more but surprisingly the kickstand is original and hasn't had any issues.😂
Would absolutely love to see someone like yourself go from one of these temu bikes to a proper Stomp 170cc or even a 140cc/160cc.. its an insane difference not just in how the bikes feel but night and day differences in performance
He's still a big part of Grind Hard, but this silly mini stock Temu content isn't exactly at a Grind Hard level of quality anymore. Everything there these days is liter bike engines and racing shocks and premium tires, which are cool, don't get me wrong...but this is something approachable.
First things first. Just cut the kick stand peg completely off gives ya a bit better ground clearance. Deff change the oil first thing don't even run it on that break in oil. Take the forks off dump the oil in to a cup to get how much is in them and replace it with some good oil. Makes the ride quality night and day better. Then change the carb to a nibbi or if your lucky can find a good Japanese carb. Find out what they modeled it after and get a pipe for it. Jet the carb. Tighten up the rear shock all the way stiff. Change the gearing by one tooth. Maybe 2. And change the chain to a good quality chain. Throw some bars on and you gotta absolute 60mph ripper. Maybe do a build on one? We build em all the time. The last one we took the head off ported and polished milled it down just a bit and it will smoke any klx around. Roughly 1700 bucks with the price of the bike to make these cheap pittys fly. Also lock tight the motor mounts bolts or replace with some good ones and always check the steering stem bearing nut. They come lose and will cause the bearing to fail prematurely. They always rattle lose. Changing the tubes out to some thicker tubes ain't a bad idea either as the stock ones are very cheap. And if your super lucky you can find a 4 valve head to bolt on with a good cam. These can be very modified for an adorable price. Hope to see a build!! Great content!
I’ve been messing with these pit bikes for a couple years now. Bigger wheels go a long way. I ring their necks and have yet to blow up any of the 3 I’ve had. Carburetor has always been the worst part of them. A nice carb completely changes them.
I bought an SSR 125 a few years back and it came with a similar title. I added a lighting kit, and was actually able to get the bike street legal here in Washington.
You can hold the shifter lever up or down I forget which direction but it engages the clutch. You can rev it up and release your foot and it’s like dropping the clutch
Crazy!! Down the road a bit further is where I’m working! 😂 doing some new framing in a remodel, and you passed me one day when I was walking my gsp. So sick
If the engines are set up similar to how the CT90 and the S90 engines are, you can swap the centrifugal clutch and cover for the manual clutch, parts and cover. With these bikes always remember to swap the oil with good break in oil and a fresh NGK plug, I keep reading that some clone bikes have plugs that can mess up the threads in the cylinder head.
@Vel_178 the 125 engine used in the Grom is also based off the Wave 110, I wish they were more common here. Wanted to put a grom engine on my Ct90 but getting an complete engine and harness is still about $2000 the CT90 is just it predecessor by about 30-40 years
@ you do need to get an adapter from DRATV, the bottom mounts don’t exactly line up. My issue is reliability, and want the engine to at least last 100k KM. Definitely fine with replacing a stretched cam chain and adjusting valves. Also need good parts availability which they are at least somewhat available
I have a 22 Maverick hybrid and I love it too. Everytime i bring it to the dealership for the 10K maintenance theyb want to buy it back, lol. I get on average 43mpg with mixed freeway and surface street driving. I've always been a sportbike guy but watching this makes me want to get one of these bikes, lol.
I got a chines pit bike the same size as the smaller one on Marketplace. It had a 70cc engine but I swapped a 110cc with electric start and it absolutely rips. I've had it to 55mph on GPS speedometer.
Throw a Nibbi Racing carb and air filter on these and then go up a tooth in the front and these become pretty fun toys. I have an Xpro which is basically the same thing as this and it's been great surprisingly. In my area, 25-30 year old bikes are going for 500 more than what I paid for my bike and it's not beat to crap. To rebuild the motor on that and get new tires would cost more than what I spent on the new bike.
I bought a 125 with upside down forks and beefier frame from 200 bucks on craigs list, i gotta tell ya, with a bit of maintenance and some elbow grease these will hold up just fine, just don't jump them or bash to hard because the frames are rims are made of chinesium😅❤ great video BTW......A 250 would be interesting, that's adult territory😮
The US Distributor for Mototec is in the town I live in. For the price, they aren't bad. We got one of the even cheaper 50cc dirtbikes for my youngest when she was little, and the thing still rips around. She's beat the tar out of it, and it just keeps going.
I should also add, a few of us snagged some of the 50cc Phantom pocket rockets to do a mini-motoGP. The lightest guy is 185lbs, I'm 270. We've been tearing it up on them and so far the only fault was 1 clutch. $15 for an upgraded version.
I should really get one haha. I have so many forest trails near me and my two-up atv is just too big for some forest trails, as well as quite fuel-hungry compared to these small bikes haha.
willing to bet they both are not as fast/quick as my 1982 Suzuki RM50 race-dirtbike...Topspeed was 90 and it was truly quick as hell back then....A true "Pro" Motocross racebike.
im 10 i bought the same small 110 mototec for 583 $ but be careful becuase the the starter bolts tend to break because its happened so many times on mine
Great content as always dude, fun to watch, but man im jealous of those trails we dont have many in the UK so are few and far between, I want to get a cheap dirt bike for trail riding ( just sold a XT225 serow) and im not so sure my R1 would do aswell on the trails 😂
holy crap that garage is small. lol That sucks about the clearcut. They did that up near Tarbell Trail in Washington State, by Silverstar Mountain. They ruined a bunch of mountain bike/running trails with the clearcut and now there are landslide issues every year because the ground is destabilized. They also haven't replanted and it's been like 3 years...which is against regulations. Clearcuts suck and there's no reason to do them, it's all about effort/profit.
I've been getting a bit of stuff from Temu... I started with a PU (Poo) Leather Jacket. and It was kinda cool, so I brought something else, then some 28L Soft Panniers (saddle bags) then a kick stand foot, a couple of Dry/Duffel bags that strap to the bikes carrier. a chair that folds up into nothing (and fits in the Pannier with all the rest of the camping gear... Oh yes, the tent came from temu too. It's becoming my Go to online store, and 6 months ago I wouldn't have considered getting anything from them, but it's actually worth it! (I'm not sure I'd buy an actual bike from Temu though. but the 48L dry duffel bags are definitely worth getting, that's why I brought a second one (that and I want to try to make it easier to offload the luggage, set up camp and keep riding off road without the weight... (the easier it is to remove the bags the better, the strap-on soft luggage just takes too long to undo everything, and the dry bags just unclip) Here's a laugh for you (and Video idea) get all your Moto-camping gear from Temu and take the pitbikes camping. see if they will sponsor you!
Seriously, you want to give all your money to China? Of course you do, most things these days are "made in China"😂. Sounds like you had a fun project. I still don't know if I can trust Temu. It's China. Still feels iffy.
Should change the oil in them straight away as its not designed for running its just to keep things lubed while they sit in the warehouse should change oil to 10w40 straight away
I have a 140cc pitbike that I recently put a Nibbi carb on. It's a night and day difference. I'm guessing it would help yours breath to have more power pretty much top to bottom. I highly recommend it!. I don't know what size a 110cc would use, but it shouldn't be hard to figure out. It won't make it any less reliable. Mikuni carbs are garbage. At least the clone you more than likely have. They obviously function, but there's room for improvement.
You absolutely have to buy the Daytona 190cc piranha engine it will bolt in it uses the same bolt pattern and has a clutch w i believe a 1 down 4 up trans. It's a freaking beast.. put that on your channel and smoke it
You should put a big bore kit on it! I put a knock off honda carb on my old 110 back in the day and it made a huge difference, would love to see both of them paired up
I subscribed you should definitely do a video on the 250! I've been researching these cheap Chinese dirtbikes and my buddy bought a street legal 250cc bike that he's rides as a daily for a couple summers and took it on a couple weekend trail rides and I'm so surprised nothing has broke on it besides normal wear like tires which he replaces with name brand tires a month after buying it! Also he made decals for it it's a FONDA and he made a F that looks similar to the Honda H. Lol they also make liquid cooled 300cc and 450cc bikes for under $4k !
Definitely wanna see the 250cc reveiw cause me and some friends have beat on a couple these 110s. The 110s are really fun tbh but definitely wanna see what the 250 is about
I got one wasn't worth it first day battery fell off melting the wires the tires lost air the front forks leaks your better off just getting a used older bike and saving yourself the time and money 😂
I definitely subbed b4 this bit but i would LOVE to see a review on the 250. I have a apollo 125 and a yamaha it 400. I LOVE riding and would LOVE to find more bikes!
@garplin tf you talking about Edwin went to show him the new bike and get checked it out for a sec and went on about his day you are a strange individual
@garplin obviously I know who you are referring to but it still doesn't change the fact that you are still hating a person for merely existing is wierd af and you need help
Mototec has been around for a good while I bought my daughter an mototec electric dirtbike when she 1st started riding years back before Toys R us went out of business and it was Great and I still have it but had to replace the front forks she bent them in to the frame in a crash and had to replace the bearings on the electric motor , also put kenda trackmaster 2 tires on it but its a great lil bike then she got upgraded to a yamaha TTR110 and now she rides my klx110l got the clutch down & is ready for a big bike
To learn more about Chomps or to find one of 20,000 stores near you that carry Chomps go to chomps.com/EDWIN
Pls can you review Thumpstar TSF 230 I hear they are great bikes for the money
tune the carb and it goes like 50mph at least . rly sounds like its running to rich

It won't make it any less reliable. Mikuni carbs are garbage. At least the clone you more than likely have. They obviously function, but there's room for improvement.
You need to get that 250 for your height but great video and an SSR dirt bike is the same price point and awesome quality
You can clutch drop on a step thru, hold the lever like half way thru a gear and throttle up then change gear or just let it stay in that gear
yea do the 250 for sure , nice to see you get your new channel going god luck.
You absolutely have to buy the Daytona 190cc piranha engine it will bolt in it uses the same bolt pattern and has a clutch w i believe a 1 down 4 up trans. It's a freaking beast.. put that on your channel and smoke it
That trail looks more brutal than fun. Both bikes seem to have good power.
Regarding the fun of electric Driving: Take a look at the hyundai N series... that engine simulation looks like sooo much fun!
You should put a big bore kit on it! I put a knock off honda carb on my old 110 back in the day and it made a huge difference, would love to see both of them paired up
I had a mototec 50cc two stroke my son learn to ride on th3 bike was very powerful 👌🏿
Impressive for just 1000 bucks. Very nice looking too. Seems it need a little higher revs though. Like your content.
@7:35 Blow compressed air into the opposite end of the handlebars while pushing/pulling the grip and it will slide right on/off.
This video .... 100 % smile on my face watching it 😂🤣😂
Said it before but I'll say it again, love this type of content! ^^
21:00 turn up the idle screw 1/4 turn
I subscribed you should definitely do a video on the 250! I've been researching these cheap Chinese dirtbikes and my buddy bought a street legal 250cc bike that he's rides as a daily for a couple summers and took it on a couple weekend trail rides and I'm so surprised nothing has broke on it besides normal wear like tires which he replaces with name brand tires a month after buying it! Also he made decals for it it's a FONDA and he made a F that looks similar to the Honda H. Lol they also make liquid cooled 300cc and 450cc bikes for under $4k !
Rides bike twice. Forgets to turn choke off twice. 😂😂 banger video. The x2 is kinda sick.💪🏽
I subscribed. Let’s see the 250!!
Dude I love Gold Mountain! I grew up in bottle bay and visit that place all of the time!
I always drop a little premix in the tank when running in a Chinese engine, I've found they're all tight from new and take a few hours to run in.
Subbed, we need the 250 video!
Yes please get the 250 as well so you can compare it to the Walmart dirt bike.
That auto bike did so surprisingly well. It was gear perfectly for trails where the manual would be better for faster riding.
I would like to see Edwin do a test on Chinese quad's. I have a Tao tao Bull 250. and am curious how Chinese quads compare.
Rejet the carb for the cold, or the needle if you can
I definitely subbed b4 this bit but i would LOVE to see a review on the 250. I have a apollo 125 and a yamaha it 400. I LOVE riding and would LOVE to find more bikes!
Love this!! Buy better carbs and they will be monsters!!!
broooo yesssssss!!!! i been waiting for you to come off that old guys page.
Tf you mean they are only a few years apart if you are referring to Ethan
@justinwebster7761 the old guy who think everything belongs to him and like to be in everything
@garplin tf you talking about Edwin went to show him the new bike and get checked it out for a sec and went on about his day you are a strange individual
@justinwebster7761 nah bro. The old guy from grind hard dummy
@garplin obviously I know who you are referring to but it still doesn't change the fact that you are still hating a person for merely existing is wierd af and you need help
Idk how ive been watching grind hard for years and just found out you had a seperate channel😮
Happy to hear it!
🤣 I had a big boy 100cc pitbike and one thing a 120kg guy said is the thing might be small but the torque on it is insane
That bigger bike needs tall triple clamps n a set of Protaper bars......💥
