Want to start off by saying I am a fan of this channel.
Bought this online and instantly sent it back. I was new to Zodiac but the quality on these is actually really unacceptable for the price they charge. My Seiko 5 SSK003 had better build quality than this. The markers on the bezel look really cheap, like its a cardboard paper printed from an image that was stretched too big. The winding of the crown doesn't feel great either. The bracelet is fine, the accordion is a nice touch, but again comparable to the Seiko 5 SSK003 which you can get brand new for less than $300. The design is really cool and the lume is nice on this and in theory the movement should be too. The size of the piece is nicely proportioned too and I loved the case back but it is too rough around the edges to warrant that price, like literally jagged on the edges with not enough refinement. Seiko Prospex models feel significantly more refined than this product and those are still cheaper.
I really really really wanted to like it, but the price tag to quality disparity was too high to justify

Sorry to hear that you were not happy. I bought mine from Marc at Long Island Watch as soon as it was released and it is the first Zodiac in my 43-watch collection (many of them Seikos dating back to the early 70s, when I bought my first Seiko). I love the Pineapple Dream almost as much as my four beloved Squale divers. My previous buy in January this year was the Seiko SPB 333J. My feeling is that the Zodiac is slightly better, albeit for $800 more than the slim Turtle. Each to their own, I guess. 😀
