I left there and found a job where they made me manager and LOVED me. They told everyone that my work was exemplary. They gave me bonuses higher than the rest of the team.
I was the same person doing the same job where I was hated before. I changed nothing, except for the job.

Really nice outfit. So true about excelling where you fit in. Its not going to happen around people plotting your funeral in the workplace.
Personally, I know a bunch of straight A students that were shining within our little town and could have studied at the local university with a full scholarship, but instead moved places and attended a MORE prestigious one. Needless to say, they wasted money and several semesters of failing courses and came back home to finish the same degree they were studying over there, with all the other straight A students that outshined them. And some even still have student loans. Sometimes, it's okay to shine bright right where you are.
