Skipping leg day is skipping 60% of your body
That´s a good one, need to remember this when I´m trying to tell my gym bro mates again to do some leg workout.
How?
@@rival756 Legs have the larger muscle groups. I feel like dying because of exhaustion I feel after training legs. That never happens with upper body workouts
@@rival756 cuz training legs alone uses almost all your body, cuz is not only the legs, you use your back, abs, shoulders etc. Even isolated leg muscles are the biggest ones, and those muscles burn a lot of fat and helps alot to produce more testosterone hormone.
That is why it is a must.

Man I swear to God I don't get why people hate training legs not only it makes your physique much more wholesome, you get a blasting dose of testosterone, makes you overall more toned due to fat loss, and in my opinion gets you a hell of a lot more respect. Leg day is My fucking favorite workout.
Only men do
My guess is because legs take a lot more effort to train.
legs are boring they say
The only leg I like to workout is my 3rd leg
Polly coz you can't showboat legs like the rest of the body
When you train and grow your upper body, your legs have to progressively carry more weight when you're walking around. That's how you train legs.
genius..
Legs are built strong for that reason. For a short period of time it works, but at some point it won’t be a challenge for your legs anymore…
@@HJ0007 it was a joke

Treat Bulgarian Split Squats like Lateral Raises and you'll fall in love with leg day ;)
underrated Comment.
wait what is that supposed to mean
@KING [AH] #dolphygang Your not alone💀
@KING [AH] #dolphygang Your shoulders are gonna stay as small as they are then
@KING [AH] #dolphygang Lateral raises are Goat’ed. they are easy as hell to do and effective too. What’s not to like?
It’s also not that hard getting strong on them too. I can do 18kgx8 with good form in my last set.
I learned just the other day that doing squats also strengthens the central nervous system, allowing for harder training on the upper body. Plus that some of the biggest muscles are there, allowing for high endorfine production and fat burning relative to the effort put into it.
So that was kind of a wake up call on that front.
And today i learned something new
@user-mj5vx8xj8tyou look so afraid of leg day
@user-mj5vx8xj8t
Boring this is the best thing
@user-mj5vx8xj8t then add weight to them, widen/narrow/open up your stance, or switch up with some deadlifts. They work out too many large muscle groups to ignore for both fat loss and muscle gain
Thats not the most important thing. Even if you are training especially for calistenics or something for upperbody satrength you still need to do lower body couse half of your muscles are there and the more muscles you give signal to growth the more testosterone your body produce to make it happen so it eventually helps with progression of upper body
The art of body building starts with legs just as pillars of a house.

I got long COVID and couldnt walk for a week. Every second was leg day
Me only focus on my arms. Now after 2 years of hard work, my physical from top to toe looks phenomenal! 😊
From a practical matter and usefullnessc, strong legs is much more important than a strong upper body. All your strength comes from your legs
Strong core is the most important part of functional strength.
The motivation i needed to hit chest today!
Thats very true. My friend and i skipped it all the time when i was 18-19. After a few months i noticed upper body strength with weak legs in the mirror. It sucks working out legs in the beginning, but you really need to get it as part of a routine.
Lol wat did u think would happen?? Jeez
Working the Legs will help other parts of your body grow by increasing natural test and gh, you will feel so much more powerful with strong legs.

@@nickw8160sounds like he did the Get Swole Program on the Bodybuilding app, kind of unrealistic for most people but at least it has people actually working out their legs
Went from skipping leg day to only doing leg day as I injured my wrist and shoulders and somehow through not training upperbody I've gotten a stronger bench.. No clue the science behind it but I haven't seriously trained upper body in 2months yet I got stronger. Crazy.
With your legs, you probably alsoworked your core and everything inbetween. A nice side effect of leg training that many just forget, because they think of legs as something seperate, not part of your body.

bro is one bad day from ringing a bell to turn invisible
While my genetics are defo subpar overall, i can actually ignore lower body training. The few gifts i do have are all lower body. Never had to work my legs and esp glutes. Before retiring i hit legs maybe once a week with a few half assed sets (altho tbf i was a serious cyclist for a year and a half but even before and after those times my legs were still good). Literally never trained glutes, minus some unavoidable collateral activation, in my life yet theyve always been and still are my strongest point easily, no matter what i did. This is just how much genetics matter, in my near decade long journey of training, my upper body which i trained hard and consistently for so long has never come even remotely close to rivaling my almost untrained lower body. I still work out to an extent nowadays but idk the last time i did any lower bod. This pathetic female build of mine actually always made me look pretty hot in tight pants at least
Same for me. I'm with slight belly at my 35 years, no defined abs nor pectorales. I went hard on my complete body for 1-2 years but didn't step into a Gym seriously for the last 10 years. My stamina is garbage, but my defined Quadriceps and calfs still look like champions. Brought me some medals in 100 meters and long jumps, and 4x100 in my teens. We didn't train excessively, so yeah. Genetics make a huge difference.
You need to train calves too!!!

i absolutely despise leg day, its boring, it hurts, i cant walk the next day without being in excruciating pain, and overall it just feels useless because i wear trousers 90% of the time, but since ive stopped skipping leg day a few months ago ive made some insane progress and i reckon the pain and the lameness is worth it. makes your body 10x more aesthetic
Leg day I enjoy it hurts so bad and I enjoy the pain. I know how weird that sounds. I only enjoy workout pain it feels like achievement unlocked. Core day is my miserable time. But I want a six pack and it ain’t gonna build itself. 😩
I used to think it was also boring until I found a workout for me. I started treating leg workouts the way I treat my other workouts and made it fun.
Just don't overdo it. Train moderately.
Same. I lift for over 20 years. Just started legs training for 1 year now. Hated it at first. Im getting used to it now.
I always skip leg days, it's good for your calves.
i just do 3 heavy sets of squats before every workout. no need for a whole seperate leg day
I have naturally skinny legs, so I changed my workout routine to the following and in just a few months I don't have the chicken leg syndrome anymore.
Mon - legs
Tue - shoulders
Wed - back
Thu - legs
Fri - chest/triceps
Sat - biceps
Sun - rest
This is not a good split imo, a day just for shoulders and a day for biceps is a waste
You should do PPL
Mon-Legs
Tue-push (chest/tricep/shoulders)
Wed-Pull (Back, biceps, traps)
Then either rest day and repeat, or repeat then rest on Sunday
This way you hit everything twice a week and give yourself time to recover
@@senordenk4220 I workout 60 minutes everyday (360mins/week). Last 10 minutes are always abs. On shoulders day, I also do dips. On Chest day I also do triceps. On biceps day, I also do forearms. 3 exercises for biceps, 2 for forearms. So overall in a week,
Legs - 100mins
Chest - 35 mins
Shoulders - 40 mins
Dips (compund for shoulders/chest) - 10mins
Biceps - 35 mins
Forearms - 15mins
Back - 50 mins (including pullups)
Abs - 60 mins
Triceps - 15mins
