New boots! Love a new boot day, nearly went Salewa myself but as you in the Berghaus I'm always slipping over so went for La Sportiva with a vibram mega grip sole. Enjoy Skye mate, it's a great island. We're off to the Uists next month so really looking forward to that.

I have the Salawa I love them I went one size up after reading reviews comfort from day one.

I think the Brasher Country Masters have the same Vibram soles as Berghaus own them too. I find them also quite slippery on certain surfaces. Similarly, they have a loose ankle area for my fairly narrow feet and require creative lacing to ensure no blisters (or wear thicker socks). That said, also very comfortable. so yes, comfortable death.
