Each first episode of the arcs started strong. Then they went down the drain. Especially Bariss’s story.
Episode 4 was some of my favorite starwars 🔥 and then yeah.......

Kinda feel blue-balled that the most perfect rendition of Thrawn we've gotten so far is after he's been used in Rebels and Ahsoka. His new model, his dialogue, everything about him is how I imagined Thrawn when I read the books. And yet, his story had to be told in Rebels, where everything is toned down cause of the DisneyXD demographic, and in Ahsoka when his writing lost most intelligence and he comes across as incompetent.
It was well told. A great deal of emotion and darkness to it.
Dont like that they retconned the design of the Tie Defender to seem like Morgan did it. She has no engineering background what so ever. How could she come up with it?

Needlessly brought her back, no interaction with Ashoka, became a Ashoka knockoff and then died to a random. Ruined the whole arc lol

You can't slaughter an entire town and then turn back to the light side in 15 minutes you don't get to have a redemption arc shortly after murdering men women and children. So many shows are obsessed with subverting expectations that they forget to tell a decent story
@@joshjohnson2753 well I’m ok with Vader not being heavily in the ep it keeps him mysterious that’s what makes him great but yea I’m disappointed about barris dying but I think was showing an example to Lynn that there is hope and that you can fight against the empire.
@chasethechosenone8478 I agree with Vader, it just would have been nice to at least have him acknowledge that the one who drove his Padawan from the order was there in front of him.
As for Lynn. She slaughtered that town needlessly. Her orders were to get the jedi. She killed all those people just because they didn't tell her the Jedi's location, that's pure evil, a true inquisitor. Having her turn back to the light after that was just silly.
I throughly enjoyed this actually. Only parts I didn’t like was the last Morgan episode, didn’t really learn anything new. Also, the uncertain ending was kind of lame. Would have loved for maybe a 4th Bariss episode and only 2 Morgan. We could have gotten some closure with her and Luminara, she could have possibly visited her in prison when she was an Inquisitor

I like barris alot as a char but did not like what they did to her in the final arch she littarly bombed the jedi temple and then is a monk of good lol. i just dislike the bait and switch evil to good , sometimes just for them to be acepted as good all the sudden. the visuals otherwise was amazing ep 1 of barris arch is kinda how i wanted bad batch to be in terms of tone but tbb is still a good show.
Barris was never evil, just doing evil to achieve good. She switched because she never wanted to wipe out jedi like inquisitors, she wanted to show jedi that they became as bad as sith
I mean, almost all of Star Wars portrays a redemption arc for a lot of characters. How is this different? We don't get an entire movie that starts someone like Vaders path to redemption in this format (17 min show), Vaders began in Empire with confronting Luke and then all of Jedi was his internal struggle so it played out longer. They had 17 mins to transition her from inquisitor to essentially a Grey Jedi. I'm sure there's a ton we're missing, such as who is her friend that will know what to do... clearly it feels like Ashoka, they likely will explain that in another format later on.

@@Gojirawars03 that's not the point, these are shorts, we're clearly missing a lot in between. However, even in clone wars Barris wasn't straight up evil, she was disillusioned with what the jedi had become rather than what she thought they should be. She went down a dark path but it's not like she became a straight up sith, she just lost her way. Regardless it doesn't feel like she died here, there's probably more to come.
@@aaronsastronomy9236 I just wish it wasnt so much of it hence i started to get a bit annoyed in the battlefront 2 story mode heh i do wish there was more story into this perspective of inquisitors. I also expected some kind of beef with barris training and vader puting her on a harder challange i didnt expect ep3 to stray out that long i expected it too be in this like training circle. Not sure how old barris will be in ahsoka season 2 , but would be cool if she popped up there if she has hidden from the empire.
it’s kinda crazy to realize that barriss betrayed anakin twice (once during TCW and the other when he was Vader) yet they both ended up redeemed and back to the light side

The Disney Star Wars. Where every character is a woman and we are supposed to love them and be enthralled by them just because they’re on the screen. And men are introduced to beat up on. It’s great. Lastly, who cares about Morgan Elsbeth?
I loved this so much, many either hated ut or loved it, those who loved it are flexible with the story telling, those who hate it are too rigid and have too high of expectations
The episodes with Barriss were pretty cool but the Morgan Ellsbeth stuff was just a weak attempt to give her a backstory and make her a formidable opponent for Ahsoka
I feel like people saying its bad is hyperbole ,its fine to good to whatever , its kinda just small stories anyway and there will be more , the first batch was strong and thats still pretty new
I think the main upset is that this could've been SO much more. I'm not upset with what we got but I can recognize that compared to 'Tales of the Jedi' it's just not nearly as interesting or important.
I was pretty excited as to where this could go mid way through, after it ended I was Meh, they dropped the ball... again...

You know, I'm kinda getting sick of the "but it killed Qui-gon" BS. His hit was center mass likely severing minor venus cava and puncturing the right ventricle, much less the spinal sever at somewhere around T9 or T10.
There is a far cry between that and Sabine's stab to the gall bladder and lower ribs, or Barris taking a gut-shot that likely didn't even hit any real vitals OR the ribs.
Meaning apart from blood loss which with the burn should be minimal, Barris' biggest health risks are shock and sepsis.
Did everyone else fail high school biology? Or did they stop teaching that around the same time they killed off Civics?

I mean in my mind tales of the empire is following an imperial full way meaning from the "evil point of view" not good like tales of the rebellion I would expect good all the way through . Not a jedi being a inquisitor then turning back to the light in a show called tales of the empire I liked barrises story over the night sister but I love the animation

I mean I kinda get Barris' way of redemption, in Clone Wars she went dark the same way Dooku did, she saw the problem in Jedi. But Dooku had Palpatine who slowly made him change. Barris could become Inqusitor too and could fell to the dark side deeper but everything went too sudden for her. She still valued life of innocents and her conscience moved her
I guess i expected it to drag out longer in a sense this is kinda why i feel barris should had been in bad batch or something for char growth ep 3 just felt way too fast for redemption. kinda why i complaint abit.
The truth is, the first chapter of Morgan was very good, the second was decent and the third a little worse but good, and Barris, the first was very good and the second more or less the third, I haven't seen it yet, but I mean, they are good stories, just for him level of expectation that we had although those at Disney asked for it by making that trailer that seemed like one for a movie because of how good it looked and how barris she thought that the Jedi were wrong but I don't think she would agree with following that path Maybe he wanted to create a new type of Jedi or something but from what I heard about the last chapter we will never know.

How the fuck would barris even know what the jedi's pronouns are? They never asked. When eliminating a target, that shit doesn't matter
I know that it sucks to have another character stabbed and most likely survive but people will always bring up Sabine and Reva but I never see anyone complain about maul getting cut in half and fall 100ft+ and still survive. Don’t get me wrong he is a great character but like honestly this is nothing new.
Maul is a dark side user, completely different, he used his anger and hatred for Kenobi alone to fuel himself enough to survive.
Reva, Sabine, Cal Kestis, Kylo Ren and now Barris have all been impaled by a saber the exact same way Qui Gon died, yet only Qui Gon perished. It’s just straight sloppy retconning and whack writing. Makes no sense
I think it just depends on how it's presented. They showed Maul's survival as a miracle and a big dark side feat. But when you see more and more characters that get stabbed and it's not seen as a big deal, it starts to feel weird.
I don't even think the biggest issue is that Reva got stabbed and lived. It's the fact that Vader somehow wasn't able to kill her. He seems incompetent when he fails to kill someone, doesn't realize she can survive, and then walks away. It's not even like she was saved by someone last minute with bacta. She just walks away and lives.

This show was so pointless to watch, I switched to watching S6 of Clone Wars instead of wasting my time on May 4th

Same, ninja Pellaeon and ninja Thrawn sneaking, up from SPACE, on Morgan with the distance crowd follow the conversation after being lucky Rukh survived at all, having no way of knowing if she was gonna kill him or not, was way too dumb

Disney SW has a huge problem with disjointed storytelling.
So to really understand ahsoka (disney), you first have to be familiar with the clone wars to even know who it is.
Then you need to watch tales of the jedi.
Then you need to watch the first 2 episodes of this.
Then you have watch rebels.
Then, the 3rd episode of this.
Then, the Mando episode with ashoka on this planet.
Then, the Mando episode with the dark council. Probably a couple of other episodes here or there. I'm forgetting. They are spread out.
Then finally, you watch the ahsoka, and you have a reasonable framework for a whole multiseason show and future movies to make sense to anyone who isn't a total SW junkie.
This is a problem when they claim to want "new" fans.. and a problem when trying to appeal to the already fans.. just kinda stupid.
Facts, and what makes it worse is half the content is trash, And they forget who their animated characters truly are and make them into something they weren’t initially.
Imagine watching all of Ahsokas back story, to then watch Ahsoka in live action finally, to realize she’s nothing like she was in the animated shows.
