I could listen to Margaret Atwood speak all day long. Her stories are so interesting, and she is very wise and insightful. It's chilling how The Handmaid's Tale is so relevant to our present day society and politics. I have never heard of Claudia Rankine. I thought her constant references to Ms. Atwood's age were quite distracting. However, it appeared that they were friends, so maybe this was simply playful banter between the two? I value the opinions and perspectives of my elders. They bring a sense of living history to their world.

Excellent, each in their own way,
in sharing talent, perspective, irony and humor ! Drifting in and throughout story telling there was also the skillful stick handling of re-adjustment and discernment when responding and/ or clarifying.

Brilliant. Descendant of the American Puritans, like me and mine. 8:05 to 8:13.. priceless observations about what it is to be Canadian: nervous.

Ms Rankine's constant reference to Ms Atwood's age actually detracted somewhat the interview for me. I had no idea who Ms Rankine is.

I found the interviewer to be extremely rude and the ageism was real.

At 03:49 into an interview with Atwood, she misidentifies the title of the interviewee's most famous novel. Not a good start and this is where I leave.
