- Who doesn't like free furniture that already has some prep work done? Someone gave up on refinishing this MCM chest of drawers and posted it for free on FBMP. I was glad to snatch it up and bring it back to life. I'd love to know what you think about this one. As always, thanks for watching!

Howard’s Restor-A-Finish is great for getting drawers looking good as new if there’s any unevenness in the finish 😊👍 This looks great, love the colour you chose 😍
Thank you! That’s great to know. I’ve also seen Lisa from Ivy Lane Interiors use danish oil and want to try that sometime.
I think the dresser looks fantastic. My only suggestion is, I always save old/expired credit cards,*
gift cards, membership cards etc, and use them for when I need to apply something like
wood filler. They work a lot better for small or tight areas, rather than struggling with a
large putty knife or those large bondo spreaders. You can even cut them smaller if you have to,
and I've also used them as scrapers as well.
*You obviously have to be careful, especially with credit cards, about your
account number, so I will make that part of it unreadable.
Thanks, Jeff! Great idea on saving the old cards. I have used old gift cards for smoothing out drawer liners, but I hadn’t thought of using them for spreading wood fillers.
SUPERB! YOU KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE BALLPARK!
You are way too kind - thank you!!!
Your channel is so professional. You should have 10,000 subscribers. I’m sure it won’t be long. Good luck as you grow. 😊
Wow, thank you! That’s so kind and thoughtful of you! I felt like I’m just trying to keep my head above water with learning to edit and get these videos out, so I really appreciate the encouragement.💜 Also, your handle made me crack up!😂
I think it turned out really well! I love the color.
Thank you! I love this green, too. I was actually considering buying some more tonight because it’s on sale this week.😬
Wow! You really brought it back and gave it new life.
Thank you, Shawn! I’m so glad you think so.
The hardware and paint combination is gorgeous!!! I love it!!!
Thanks, Mariah!💜💜💜
Fabulous transformation, great work! Hardware choice is so subjective, but worth trying different ones if not to the taste of the local market. I don’t know if the pricing psychology still applies these days, but maybe $395 is more palatable than $400?
When you refit drawer slides (and stops), it’s worth using a nail punch to drive the nails well below the surface. They can cause real damage if they work loose or the wood wears down around them.
Looking forward to the next video!
I had thought about lowering to $395 before adjusting hardware. I’ll go ahead and try that - thanks!
Great point about the nails. Really appreciate you sharing so many helpful tips!
You did a very beautiful restoration on this dresser! I think you should hold out on your asking price for at least another week or so. I love your dresser!! ❤️
Thank you, Shelly Ann! I appreciate the feedback.💜
I love it! Especially the gold hardware with the green! It will sell!
Thank you, Barbara! One day!😅😅
Love your videos, so informative. You have a nice teaching voice. Great outcome. I love the hardware. Looks beautiful.
Thank you, Katalin! I am so glad to hear that they are informative. UA-cam (and experience) is where I learned, so one of my goals with my videos is to help teach what I know and have learned along the way. Thanks so much for watching and the encouraging comments!
Great job!! I love that color ❤
Thanks, Lisa! I agree, it’s such a pretty green.😍
I’m so over green, but I think it’s beautiful!
Thanks, Cleo! I’m glad this one still won you over.
so amazing! thank you for sharing
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Gorgeous!❤
Thank you so much!💜
Looks so incredible!
Thanks, Emily!💜
I think you did a great job but I think it’s the hardware that is keeping it from selling. I would replace all the hardware or at least the wide decorative ones with something plain and simple. And keep the price at $400 and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks, Angie! I actually really like it but can see where it might not be everyone’s style. If it doesn’t sell in the next couple of weeks, I’ll try that approach. Thanks!
Agree. The decorative hardware is really outdated. The colour is beautiful. I also like the splayed feet
@@furniturerevivalist9812appreciate the feedback.💜
Restore a d finish for drawers 😊
Thanks for the suggestion. I have some on hand but haven’t thought to use it on drawers - thanks!
Wish I was in Texas so I could buy it.
Aww, thanks! Wish you were here, too!
I love it, it's beautiful.
Thank you, Roseanne!😊

I love the color and hardware. But honestly, that style of dresser is just ugly. You did a great job reworking it though.
Thanks, Brie. I can see where you’re coming from. My husband calls it the trapezoid.😂 it’s a bit boxy.

Darken the legs perhaps.
Appreciate the suggestion! I may consider that.
