I've been doing some research to start a pothole/asphalt care business. I'd love it if you guys could interview someone on that field. It looks like it could be a market hard to get into since most jobs are city jobs. Thanks for the good content!
One thing that wasn't discussed was it seems he's servicing a very high income area? People with lots of disposable income. If someone tried to run the same business in a middle-lower class neighborhood the results might not be great.
You don’t service only 1 neighborhood. I service all kinds of neighborhoods from rich, to middle class, to lower class. Set minimums so that you still make money on lower jobs
Just from watching the first minute I can see why he’s succeeding , he chose pressure washing but would succeed in a other home service. In 5 years this guy will be a monster.
I love it! He's a marketing genius! The name, the colours and marketing style. Most people start a business the same ol professional looking, but he went against the status quo with the light hearted image. The brand is much more recognisable and they'll remember him as the purple wizard guy even if they don't remember the business name. 👌 I've been tossing the idea of a similar concept for awhile but kept kicking myself back by saying it might not be professional, but now I've been inspired.

I respect it all, but $89 driveways? $179 lanai+driveway? That $140k must be gross and not net since we didn't hear anything about expenses on SH, otherwise you'd have to be pushing a lot of jobs per day or you're doing more house washes over those types of jobs. Either way, any pressure cleaning guy will say that is extremely low. I just started and I'm charging double that for driveways. That's why I'm confused........

From someone on the outside looking in at pressure washing. I think a good idea is to get 1-2 A-frames to set up on the side walk while you are at a site for hours marketing you business. I see a lot of restaurants do that in front of their store. I think it would be a good idea for this business. Whatcha think?
Nice work, Chase! My 20yr old son is getting started with pressure washing (adding to his window cleaning biz) in Tampa. Thank you for sharing your experience and your story. Super helpful and if the opportunity arises, would love to connect!
Great content. Rooting for Chase to be a huge success. Talking to my 24 year son (who has a full time job) about starting a pressure washing business as a side hustle with his unemployed friend.
Yeah a kid who still has an employee at 24 and an unemployed kid. Sure that'll go great 😂 have them start by selling solar or pest control and see if they have what it takes
This is my 3rd year doing what Chase does and I'm not at his level. Though business is booming. I'm almost 40 though so it's tougher on my body. Would love to be young again. I'm looking to expand this year to get off the truck. I can't do what chase does anymore (even though I am.) That is, cleaning and answering the phones and still having a bunch of positive energy. I could have 200% with some to spare at his age but not anymore sadly. It took this business to realize it. Congrats Chase on a job well done getting there so fast. I'm going to have to hire someone just to catch up to you young man. Inspiring honestly.
Bro 12k a month isn't high level. I started a window cleaning business and was making $30k /mo revenue and $20k / mo for myself after one month. Go knock doors lol
@@MrGoodeats It's not high level but it's not bad either. 500 a day with weekends off. Also, location matters. I'd be curious where you live. My sweat spot is 12cent a sf. I've tried higher but I lose too many sales. I live in an area where the income isn't super high but people do well. I know in some other states they charge 20cent a sf and people pay it all day. Obviously that's going to cause a big revenue gap on paper but I guarantee my cost of living is much lower so it's all relative. I also didn't start my business to get rich. I started it to be my own boss. I can get all my bills paid with only 2 weeks of work. I'm more than happy with that. It's not always about the money. Money doesn't motivate me. If I have to chose between knocking on doors or relaxing after the bills are paid, I chose relaxing. Will that allow my business to grow and be able to hire employees? Well, no. But I'm content. I'm about to start pushing harder though to increase the revenue. Not to be rich but mainly to be able to start hiring employees and get off the truck. If I make a lot of money in the process of expanding than good for me, but money isn't the goal. I live a very simple life.
@@chuckgood3972 I am in DFW and only knock in high end areas. I also never price by window or sq ft. I literally go door to door and charge them as high as I think they'll pay. Yeah my cost of living is very high haha but also I did that on purpose to force me to work. Sorry if I came off rude it just blows my mind how negative and how much self doubt is expressed in all these comments. I also come from a sales background and am use to making $30-40k per month so I guess it's different. This is much more meaningful to me
Getting off the truck was incredibly terrifying and I certainly didn’t have the systems necessary off the bat. Problems, pain = new system. Lol. Start of day checklists for equipment (so they don’t forget things), companycam (app), employee reviews for the first few weeks, truck trackers, vehicle policies, multiple training sheets to help identify stains etc. Job summary forms, percentage pay (absolutely do not pay hourly) the list goes on. But these are a few that changed my experience with employees. Too many people complain they can’t find good help, yet they have none of this in place or are an awful leader. Hope you are doing well and this helps. Also, not to discourage, but keep in mind - bad employees, which you will experience, are going to suck your energy right out of you. It is harder to be off the truck than do it all yourself, but very worth it.
Nice one Chase...I'm 52 and 26 years in the P'washing trade....my boy is 15 and although I want him to do better than me, I will always be there with advice for him if he decides to follow my path !
I don’t know if it’s easier in America than it is in Australia but the market is very saturated and there’s always somebody charging a better deal than you… or most people are willing to clean the property themselves over here.
He also left out the cost got his truck, payment, insurance, the paint job, liability and bonding insurance, commercial insurance for washing is expensive, also you can’t shoot water up from the ground when there are overhangs with vents, can cause water damage, good for him but he definitely had a lot of help from mom and dad I believe, which is not bad at all, I respect he’s killing it! But give the entire picture of start up costs. He left a lot out
Ok. I loved everything from start to finish. (From Florida - Miami) The ENTIRE TIME I couldn't stop thinking how silly the name and logo is. It's not bad It's the definition of youthful or young boss (I'm 25 so I'm both young and old on the dot and a part of me loves it and the other part doesn't hate it but thinks it's not serious or... Silly) [like a wizard coming to my home blasting water] I want to say that a name /branding alone can carry sales. You hear "apple" and either the fruit or tech product you're in for a treat. {Ba-da-bing} As basic as it sounds and anyone can steal this (we're all helping each other out just trying to make it in life.) But I would put "perfect washing" And I'd tell people id give a discount of whatever if they rate me 5 stars and Refer me to a friend. Good luck to my future brothers and sisters trying to change their lives for the better.
I’m 6 year in my landscaping business still never branded the trucks or trailers and we grow 25% each year. Not saying do what I do but also I don’t think you need all the flashy stuff. Some consumers appreciate the smaller business where the boss shows up and works because employees don’t have the same standards. I’ve even had many clients say “will you be here doing the work I hope?” People like it. I thought about this recently , if you want employees and you want to not work in the business and only on the business, you really need to scale to be portable and that’s another challenge . Like for example if you have you and 2 employees keeping it small netting 200k a year, to net that same amount when you’re not working in the business and have all employees teams management etc then you’d have to expand crazily . Probably 10x what you’re doing now. I can just imagine the stress. Ultimately everyone wants to not work and just sell the jobs as a boss or even lay in bed and let everyone run your company but to actually pull a profit you need to scale massively. I even seen people on here that say they gross x and net only 50k. And the gross was in the millions. Keep all this in mind when you decide you want to grow yourself . It’s not easy to profit .
Chase, this was a great episode and I’m glad to see your accomplishments. I also really like your website. What did you use to build the site? Keep killing it!

I see nothing special about him except courage. Courage alone can bring you really far.
This dude was born to hustle for sure
I don’t know if it’s easier in America than it is in Australia but the market is very saturated and there’s always somebody charging a better deal than you… or most people are willing to clean the property themselves over here.
Push harder. Reputation is what will beat out any competition.
What pressure washer gun do you use?
Outstanding!! Continue the path you have set for yourself, always take the high road and stay happy as it will pay great dividends.
so informative. you asked all the right questions you don't see in any other videos
He left a lot out
This was a great video. Lots of gems 💎 thank you
Ok. I loved everything from start to finish. (From Florida - Miami)
The ENTIRE TIME I couldn't stop thinking how silly the name and logo is.
It's not bad
It's the definition of youthful or young boss
(I'm 25 so I'm both young and old on the dot and a part of me loves it and the other part doesn't hate it but thinks it's not serious or... Silly) [like a wizard coming to my home blasting water]
I want to say that a name /branding alone can carry sales.
You hear "apple" and either the fruit or tech product you're in for a treat. {Ba-da-bing}
As basic as it sounds and anyone can steal this (we're all helping each other out just trying to make it in life.)
But I would put "perfect washing"
And I'd tell people id give a discount of whatever if they rate me 5 stars and Refer me to a friend.
Good luck to my future brothers and sisters trying to change their lives for the better.
Congrats Chase! That’s awesome man! I am 18 as well and have 3 rigs and we roughly do anywhere from $25,000-$50,000 a month. Keep up the great work!
That is awesome! Congrats on your success, Hudson. Would love to chat! Send us an email media@upflip.com, if you are interested.

My guy can u do this in an area with winter tho lol
Thank you for sharing this! You have great points. Thanks for watching! ☺️

That's fantastic to hear! Do you have any specific plans or strategies in mind for your pressure washing business?
@@UpFlip I am going to start by door knocking and doing work for family, get some experience doing that, and then get my LLC as soon as possible and go from there
@@chasepills What company are you forming your LLC with. Or I should say what website will you use to form it?
Commercial cleaning will push him way above the 400,000 goal
One big expense not mentioned was the truck

I’m sure his family helped him get all that equipment. Those equipments are expensive!
Excellent interview! The young man is inspiring for any age out their!..
Congratulations Chase!! Well done! Very impressive, especially for someone that age!
I have my own pressure washing business and this guy is killing it. He is doing exceptionally good for just starting out. He’s making money I’m hoping to make!
Good luck in your business, Edmonton! Wishing you nothing but success. How long have you had your business?
@@UpFlip since September of 2022. I’m finally at a point where it has completely replaced me previous full time job. This year I’m hoping I push beyond that. I’ve seen a couple of your vids on these home service providers and they’re a true inspiration.
In the words of McDonalds, Ray Croc - "Franchise the damn thing" Good job, Chase - Blessings on you for great prosperity in your life.
I also think something not mentioned here is the , Cleaning product. What products to use on what projects. What cleans the best.
Chase, you've definitely build something great - keep it up! I am inspired!!
Thanks for the kind words! Are you wanting to start a pressure washing business as well?
Chase, my son is starting up his pressure washing, what type of gas washer would be best we have a Craftsman 2.4 gpm, we ran out a tank of gas in about 15 mins. with a 16" Surface Cleaner. Could you give us some pointer
Michael
Which website platform did you use to integrate Markate on? Thank you and congratulations on your success 🎉

Thanks for your support, Miguel!
Extremely intuitive to base this off of the close rate. Where did he pick this up to have in his toolbox?
I love it keep up the Hustle the Grind don't stop ! 💯💯💯💯
60% close rate is still insanely high... is that rate calculated after a quote has been sent or from when a client contacts him?
This young man will definitely make his goals
As someone that is currently building my first pressure wash truck this is truly inspiring and gave me that help i needed to finish my build and get my A** out there!!
Glad to hear you found inspiration from this! I hope you gained a lot of use your knowledge to help you in starting.
How is it going?
what you said, update brah ?@@rootbeer9908
Is christabels masterclass cleaning business still available ? I didn’t see it in the description.
Great business video. Covered a lot of technical points.
Proud of you bro💯🔥👏
Dude, this close rate is too high, better raise my prices is one of the sharpest things I've ever heard about business. Young man, you are a genius!
Thank you for taking the time to watch!
what chemicals do you use to clean driveways with
PFG also owns and has other driving position such as…
PFG-food service
Core-mark/grocery/c-store
EB brown - grocery/c-store
Vista star
3 years driver then got promoted to sales.
Pretty cool to hear starting out point... Busing tables.... Awesome cool design for the truck...
Our goal was to highlight his humble beginnings so that viewers could relate and draw inspiration from his journey. 🙏
How did he get his start up money?
Chase had a job before starting his own business. To know what job he had, please keep on watching! :)
I’ve had this strong feeling to start a business for the last 2 weeks. I stay up late thinking and contemplating on what to do. And pressure washing keeps popping up. I really think I can excel at this. I want to start this, this year, would help me. This video already has a lot of knowledge. But the side little things I might need help on.
There's no reason why you won't excel at this! If you want to learn the nitty gritty of starting a pressure washing biz, please head on over to our blog and listen to our podcast for more detailed information. Best of luck! 👊
4-5 hours to hose down a house for $1000. That's $200-$250 hr. I don't think so
Yeah that's the revenue goal. Mine is $300/hr.
We average 275-400$/hr doing interior demo. Depending on the size of crew on the job. Definitely possible
I'd love to hear even more detail about the logo and everything. The logo might have been a couple hundred dollars with a deal but the ramp itself was much more and that looks like a really nice truck.
I'm starting a pressure washer business myself and I currently have a 2012 Honda Civic. I had enough money right now to buy buy a Craftsman 2.4 GPM pressure washer and I'm about to pick up a surface cleaner.
For now, unless I get a better idea thrown at me, I'll probably end up renting a truck for the days that I have jobs
I would love to hear any feedback however. Thank you for the great resource!
