Hikvision DS-KB6003 doorbell camera installation + doorbell chime (I use now a Ring doorbell Pro :-)

I made a installation video of the Hikvision Doorbell camera.
I used these items:
-Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP
-Hager VEILIGHEIDSTRAFO 40VA 12/24VAC 230VAC - ST314
-Broan BK125LWH NuTone Chime Kit
In the Netherlands we have doorbell transformers of 8 volts. The 8 volt is not enough for the Hikvision doorbell camera.
And the doorbells in the Netherlands also working on 8 volts. This is why I bought the Broan BK125LWH NuTone Chime Kit that is working at an AC current of 16 Volt / 10 VA (10 Watt)
Because of the high power consumption of the doorbell chime you need to buy a strong transformer of 24 Volts.
I bought for this reason the Hager 12/24V transformer with a maximum power of 40 VA (40 Watt)

Hi guys, after almost a year stopped using the Hikvision doorbell. The doorbell sound on my phone was often very late. The video did not start in few seconds, sometimes more then few minutes. I could not find the problem. So I bought a RING doorbell Pro from ring.com/ I only replaced the Hikvision doorbell camera in my setup for the Ring doorbell Pro . The Ring-doorbell Pro works al lot better, the doorbell sound is more consistent on my phone, the video shows faster. And the Ring-doorbell app for Android is really easy to configure and use. It cost 3 euro subscription each month for recording and sharing the videos, but because it working better,
it's worth it!

Niet nodig om zo dure trafo te kopen. Ik heb een standaard deurbel (trrringggg) en heb een trafo 24v~ gekocht voor €4.95. De bijgeleverde weerstand over de contacten van de deurbel (trrringggggg) plaatsen, dit voorkomt dat je constant de bel hoort rinkelen.

Niall Nugent. No. In this set-up you don't need the resistor. You need the the resistor if you don't use use doorbell.

Do you think you could swap out the chime for a wireless doorbell button so it would trigger 2 wireless door chimes around the house ?

Hi Maikel I am sorry to bother you I am trying to connect the WiFi and it is just failing and can not connect to the app. It has registered the Device, it confirm it has registered the WiFi, it scans the QR Code and after that it does not connect to the app and and the WiFI does not seem to connect or open the app, keep getting message WiFi speed slow, or WiFi to far, so I dismantle the door Hikvision video door bell ring and placed it next to the router and still get the same message. Before it was connected front door of the house and it had the same issue. Any ideas what could be wrong. Appreciate if you can advice.

You can install more chimes. Install the chimes with parallel wiring.

Are you still use this doorbell? Can you mesure the output voltage of transformer?

Bought the same broan chime and Hikvision. Using a 16v trafo, not a 24v. Works but the problem I have, is that the trafo in the chime makes a constant humming noise. Replaced chime with a Friedland DS117 but also here the same problem. Any solution for this?

This is tha way it works.It going continous current in the chime to go after at the bouton.Is this working well with the Friedland DS117 and the 16volt trafo?

Hoi Maikel, Super video.. net wat ik zocht. Komende week komt mijn camera binnen en de 24 volt trafo heb ik reeds gekocht bij www.groepenkastbestellen.nl voor een super prijs van € 17,05 incl, verzendkosten. Het merk emat en heeft 10 jaar garantie. Ben wel benieuwd naar de kwaliteit van het beeld en het instellen op de Qnap server voor bewakingsopnamen.

Rob Nijhuis, Ik ben benieuwd hoe het allemaal bij jou gaat werken. Beeld is goed. Deurbel doet het, maar het overschakelen naar je smartphone heeft best wat vertraging. Je maakt de deur al open voordat ik beeld heb op mijn smartphone. Verder ben ik wel tevreden. :-)

Hoi Maikel, Deurbel en 24 volt trafo geïnstalleerd volgens instructie. Perfect gelukt Super beeld zowel @nachts en overdag. WDR functie voor tegenlicht (volle zon erop) perfect beeld. Wat betreft het reageren van WiFi, op het moment van drukken, direct op telefoon zonder vertraging. Echter de telefoon op 4G, dan heb ik een vertraging van ongeveer 7 seconden. Belangrijk is wel dat de firmeware up to date moet zijn. Al met al super tevreden. Push meldingen ook perfect. hij vangt alles op en zelfs tot zeker 25 a 30 meter.
Dit weekeind ga ik verder met het uitvogelen van de dualstream functie voor bewakingsdoeleinden op de QNAP server. PS' gebruik wel 24 vilt voor een perfecte werking van camera en wifi functie. Iedere normale Ding Dong kan de 24 V hebben. geen probleem.
