- After reading about seats all winter and not getting all the answers I wanted, I bought a Sparco QRTR seat to see if it would be a better fit for me than my Recaro Pole Position in my Honda S2000.

I rode in these recently.
6'1 180lbs 34" waist
I fit in the seat great, and in a vehicle without a roll bar but the stock hoops I was able to pass the broom stick test with a helmet. For autocross and street driving it would work but getting in/out of the car with them is harder than my Pole Position ABEs.
Good review! Wish they made the PP with higher belt holes.

I bought your Sparco QRT-R. Very comfy. Fits 36” waist comfy. Shoulders have plenty of room. Mid section feels good. Overall i have been very happy with it.

Im 5'7 on a good day... how the hell do you guys fit QRT R's in this car... my head is on the roof
@@trenbobell7554 i’m 5’10” and i fit more comfortable than in any other seat in any car i’ve ever been in. A big factor is your amount of recline. I used a fixed base plate, but i hear rails will get you lower and is a lot easier to install.
I agree. I didn’t like that about the pole position. My shoulder felt crushed.

I've been running my Pole Positions for this summer. I totally know what you mean about the shoulder tightness. I'm 5'10'' - 180lbs. I love the look of the Recaro. But no doubt the QRT-R is much more comfortable than the PP (esp in the shoulders). I think I might change my seat, but I really don't love the quality of the QRT-R.
Honestly even though the Recaro pinches my shoulders a little, I still found it more comfortable than the qrtr.

The phone bracket I sketched up myself in solid works and 3D printed, is was made so my iPhone with case on it slid right in

pushes the sparco seat on bubble wrap and the wrapping "Makes noise" lol
Uhhh nope, I can confirm that the bubble wrap made zero noise when the seat was sitting on top of it .it wasn’t even moving nor did any bubbles pop lmao
@@NAUS2K lol @bubble wrap. My sparcos has that same foam noise too, without the bubble wrap
WTF dude... we have the same Sparcos, same floor jack, same pressure washer, same fricken SNOW BLOWER... luckily they're mostly different colors or I'd go check in my garage for you right now...

Have you considered the Pole Position ABE? I really do like the price of the Sparco but that's me. I'm 6'1 180lbs but mainly use the factory belt since it's just STR autocross and mountains.
I was looking into the ABE for the passenger seat. However the Abe is not FIA certified or anything
@@NAUS2K It's still road legal, I have used mine for autocross (STR) just fine.

For either seat, is anyone actually truly passing the broomstick test (2" clearance to the broom) who is 5'11"+. I see people saying they are 6 foot or more passing and i doubt this. I'm 5''11 with a QRT R and am still 1/2" over the line on a PCI adjustable mount (no Slider). I was considering going to the Recaro PP because the bottom shape of the seat (rounded vs squared) may help drop the seat a little lower, but i was worried that i wouldn't be able to safely run harness.
I do not believe I am 2” under the broomstick. I probably have less than 1” but I pass.
What waist size and height and weight are you? I'm 5'4" 140 lbs and wondering if it would be too wide for me?
Yes I’d say both of these seats would be way too big on you
Where did you get the padding for the rollbar?
Harddog sells is as an option with their rollbars
You need narrow shoulders and a huge butt to sit comfortably in the QRTR, with height over 6 feet this is a racing seat made for Donald Trump.
It's by far my worst purchase on my s2000, Pole Position is really the perfect seat for this car as long as the driver isn't tall.
On paper Sparco EVO is almost the same dimension as Pole Position with higher harness holes. Other seat is a Sabelt GT3, the dimensions aren't as nice I just love Sabelt as a brand.
If you're still looking for a cheaper seat with high harness holes please at least give EVO a try.
how tall are you? and waist size
