You and i,together we always having so much fun, you and i, hey Big Guy"!
Haha wow I'd never heard the English intro before.. It's so different from the Dutch one! This show always had so many Dutch puns I always wondered how they managed to translate this into any other language, really.
It's actually a Japanese show that was based off the original Dutch comic strip. This intro is for the Saban dub which differs significantly from the Dutch dub - it has a narrator, a different soundtrack, and some footage that was cut in the Dutch dub (as far as I know). There's a newer English dub that came out in 2010 based off the Dutch dub that was produced by Telescreen which is the same company that did the Dutch dub, and it also has a lot of puns but they're often very cringeworthy (ex. "it's not an exodus it's an ox-odus").
Memories of CITV summer mornings and early teenage years

I might have thought about posting the lyrics. But you've saved me a job.
I would give anything to find out the name of the lady that sang this. Gorgeous voice.
You and me both buddy.
wish they could make cartoons like this these days
I dunno why but I could see a piss take of this song on Family Guy’
Such a funny cartoon
This is literally the first anime I ever saw. Before Pokemon, before Yu-Gi-Oh, before Dragon Ball, all of them.

I'm not sure, but I think the female vocals were performed by the same singer for the animated Punky Brewster theme song.
A big guy, a real human bean, and a real hero.

this show ripped off bullseye

Well as long as it isn’t a visual pun, then the dialogue can be translated into any language

The innuendo!
A Dutch concept animated in Japan.
Bloody odd :D
Odd but brilliant!
Not so much back in the late 80s-90s there were a few dutch Japanese and also jointcountry animated productions
There's also Alfred J. Kwak.
Anime co-produced in Europe wasn't that uncommon back then.
Love this cartoon as kid
After all these years, I still haven't forgotten the opening of this beat.
