Until Islam is held to account , warts and all , the continued two tier defence of Islam in the UK ,regardless , will only help continue and increase the division and recement .
The Imam makes no reference to the Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists that fought for Britain. The presenter did not mention either the favouritism shown by the Raj to Muslim troops.
Shashi Tharoor has already highlighted the contribution of Indian soldiers to the Allied World War efforts during his epic Oxford Union debate. Trust the moulvi to insult nonmuslim veterans present during that ceremony by only highlighting Muslim contributions. Thanks Lubna for the video. These soldiers do deserve the respect and memorial accorded and more.
That was then, what about now? Far more Muslims recently joined the Islamic State (ISIS) army than the British army. Also the Mufti of Jerusalem was a friend of Hitler. And they had a shared purpose...
From 1933 to 1939, the zionists and nazis worked hand in hand. Might want to look into the Ha Avara agggrement. Or the 150,000 Jews that fought for Hitler. During WW2 the zionists in the British mandate of Palestine murdered just under 500 British soldiers. Six of them went on to become Israeli prime ministers. Menechem Begin killed two British soldiers in 1944, the booby trapped the bodies so the soldiers that came to retrieve the bodies would be killed and maimed. You never heard of the king David Hotel bombing either, bit thick and ignorant are you not? 🤡
I've got a good idea where the loyalty of a certain demographic would be if the UK went to war against a majority muslim country and had to get extra Soliders in on the front line if there was a shortage.
They all fought and served as Indians, there's no need to fucking distinguish them by religion ffs. And the men of that calibre aren't comparable to the people who come here today.
There were Sikhs in the crowd too. The gentleman at the beginning got the same recognition from the government that every soldier got, MEDALS. British soldiers got no more recognition than that and were often abandoned suffering PTSD (in WW1 called shell shock) to pick up their shattered lives at armistice 11/11/1918 and on VJ (victory over Japan) Day, which marked the end of WW2. The monuments in towns and cities are monuments FROM THAT TOWN. They commemorate those who LOST THEIR LIVES from that town. Those who survived the wars and men NOT from that town were not included in that town's memorial. There are cemeteries all over the world where those who were killed were buried and memorialised. I know because I stood for a long time in the Menen Gate in Ypres reading the names of the fallen of world war one that all the fallen are listed there, Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim men among them, listed as they should be, among their European comrades at arms with their names and ranks at the time of their deaths carved into the stone equally honoured together with all their brothers from all corners of the world. In war cemeteries across France, Belgium and elsewhere, the graves of fallen Muslim soldiers have been marked with an Islamic crescent and again their names are listed among their brothers at arms on the Memorial rolls at those cemeteries. I was also offended at the comment that we would not have had any of the freedoms that we enjoy today without the contribution of Muslims, in particular. For a long period at the beginning of the war, after Europe had fallen, Britain stood alone against the threat of Hitler and the Nazis while enduring the Blitz and the daily threat of invasion. I am particularly upset, but not surprised, that this has happened in Bradford, My Mum along with my aunts and uncle are from Bradford. You will not find the name Thomas O'Hara on the Bradford War memorial, He survived the war. Other members of my grandparents' and great grandparents' generations are listed on the memorial because they died in those wars. To add in names of men who survived the war or who were not from that town at the time desecrates the memory of the fallen from that town and the contribution to the war effort that town has made. It also skews history because until now, the town war memorials have been a poignant and ACCURATE record of the fallen soldiers of the world wars. The proper places for recognition of every soldier who died are in the towns from which they came at that time, in the national memorials such as the tomb of the unknown soldier in the cenotaph, the unknown soldier in Westminster Abbey and the place where they were buried. There are memorials to the fallen from India in Singapore, El Alamein, Neuve-Chappelle, Heliopolis (Port Tewfik), Rangoon and at Patcham Down where 53 Indians,
Haj Amin al-Husseini met Adolf Hitler during World War II. In November 1941, al-Husseini travelled to Berlin and met with Hitler to discuss political and military cooperation. Al-Husseini was a strong opponent of the British mandate in "Palestine", and he sought Nazi support for Arab nationalist movements in the Middle East. Long live the King!

Muslim soldiers were sent by Jinnah to later on negotiate for Pakistan with the Brits. Just as Sikhs were sent to demand a Khalistan later after the war. In 1946 over 600 000 German prisoners were starved to dth in fields along the Rhine... IN 1946... in peacetime??? In 1945 another 600 000 recorded prisoners did not make it back home to their families. Their bones and uniforms were washed up in catastrophic flooding about 3 years back sending the Government there into panic mode as they tried to HIDE THE CRIMES OF THE ETERNAL GOOD GUYS... So it doesn't really matter who fought for who, does it?

Workhouses were deplorable, barbaric prisons they sent the poor to, simply for being poor. I was somewhat shook when I looked into this dark history. Workhouse victims descendants should be first in the queue if any reparations are to be handed out IMO.

What about the 20 million russians who helped the west .What about the 70 .000 the mufti from Jerusalem who fought against us .Thousands of Canadians and Americans fought with us .Arent they all commerated on our Cenetaph .?
those Russians had over 8 million in uniform over 30 000 tanks in 1941 and had the partizans trained and organized in 1937....... their plan was to invade Western Europe once the Brits/French/Germans had weakened each other... their 'revolutionary war' soon had to be renamed the 'great patriotic war' They were caught out in the act of unloading heavy equipment when Germany invaded...hence all the prisoners.. The Soviet/Russian archives have been open to foreigners since Putin came to power... We had an enemy in common that's the reality.. Russia was no friend to anyone back then. Today, Germany can't do anything, she has no oil and she had 2 months of oil supplies to defeat Russia with.. It was Stalin who allowed Germany access to rich crude oil in Rumania by refusing Zhukov permission to destroy or occupy the oil rigs.. prolonging the war another 3 years... yes history is complicated! Thanks to the department of lies omissions and propaganda! Question; Who wrote our war history who created the narrative? Answer; Leftist academics/historians alongside their Soviet communist 'allies'... and you can believe it all if you like. All war documentaries are a form of political control and everyone who sees their first doc assumes it to be truth... I did!
Just because some Pakistanis fought for Britain years ago doesn't mean the whole of Pakistan can come and live in Britain. Those Muslim soldiers are loyal to Britain. But not all Muslims are
My only problem with this is that Pakistan didn’t exist. It was India and we were taught about the commonwealth standing together and fighting for our empire. The difference is when we remember the fallen we remember everyone without cread, colour or religion. These are there to remember the Muslims only. This is my problem with DE&I. It’s separatism at its finest.
The British Raj Indian army was made up from several races particularly Punjabi, Pashtuns, and Gurkhas. These races were considered as Martial races by the British administration during the British Raj period. Majority of Indian soldier were Sikhs and Muslims.
They weren't just defending Britain, they were fighting for their own countries. If this country had fallen, then India & others would most likely have follwed suit in due course.............😊
What about the ones on the side of the axis? They deliberately left that part of history out. Ask em about Arafat's great grandfather & the Austrian painter and they'll clam up.
Bang on. Only the commonwealth country Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs helped. Doesn't mean that we have to have a let them all in policy because of a brave few.
Great video. It gave me great pleasure to see how pleased the old Muslim soldier was with his medals and with his letter from the Queen. What I don’t like it was a commonwealth war memorial and I only heard about Muslim soldiers. Also as a soldier I don’t like when relatives say my grandad fought in the war, like it gives them some sort of special rights. Only the individuals that served can say that and their immediate family can say that, that let them go. I also agree with what you say about Muslims fighting for Hitler, there is 2 sides to every coin. We also forget the Middle Eastern states that sided with Hitler, which Britain was then forced to invade to deny oil to the Germans.
They're normalising the idea of mslms defending Britain, ie patriotic contribution, which is kinda the same thing Lubna does. The difference is that plenty of pak will say "we fought for Britain, so now we deserve & own Britain, and we'll shape it into whatever we want to" which dovetails with the conquest mslms who say "we can rule over Britain, as 'slmist imperial colonial rulers just like we did over India(bharat), iran(Persia), Indonesia etc"
The martyrdom narrative is necessary in the sagas of violent conquests. But sadly modern democracies are trapped by the ideology of upheaval which makes common cause with them.
@ananthan8951 these modern democracies have shared interests, but they aren't 'trapped' so much as consciously making cold hard calculated long-term strategic choices
@OrwellsHousecat Is it so? Maybe it is, for only a few individuals speak out against what should be a clear danger. Society follows sheep - like, to where the establishment (politics, media, "intelligentsia", academia) lead them. To me it appears as the expedient hypocrisy of these sections (and not any grand plan) that are also partly beguiled by the powerful social ideology to which they subscribe, and that ideology actually is the ally of the subjugators.
@ananthan8951 Sure, there are those who are ignorant, those who are believers, those who are followers, those responding to incentives, but there are also believers in the stated cause/cover story who's pragmatic solutions aren't taken up, there are followers who speak up when they're presented with conflicting commands, there are penalties as well as incentives. If its not a strategy, why are only those who don't adhere to it the ones that get silenced/disappeared/locked-up/shut-down/accident'd etc even when being true to the given ideology? Follow the money, see the common sources, the multi-use front groups, the cookie-cutter campaigns, the coordination etc. It's not a conspiracy theory when they do it in the wide open, publish their plans, advertise their plans, fund those plans, recruit for those plans and do so loudly.
And the recognition goes to ALL of the fallen regardless of religion. So why do we have a muslim only memorial? Are there no muslim names on the other war memorials?
The image of the memorial showed symbols of multiple religions. So we have what the media is highlighting vs what the veterans association wants to convey.
I thought you would have gotten back to me, lol. I didn't think you would actually do a video about it. You actually said what i thought. But you said it is a lot better. Ps its hero's like this who put the GREAT im Great Britain.
Lubna, when you mentioned the muslims who were fighting for hitler, You should have talked about their leader "Amin Al Hussani" AKA "Grand Mufti of Jerusalem" from 1937.
No. Muslims defended Arabia & Persia India (pre Pakistan) with British help. The Turks were with the bad-guys. They fired no shots in defense of Britain, unless literally standing between the enemy and Britains shores, that's for sure. Now as for British interests, that's another matter entirely.
As with veterans of (what was then Indian) heritage, it was complicated. An American veteran told me how Turkish soldiers served alongside his unit in WW-II.
Doesn’t mean that the entire family of even the ones who defended demand special privileges. These soldiers voluntarily opted to fight and got their due. For how many generations you are going to cry hoarse for your ancestors good deeds. You also need to contribute to the country. At least be loyal and behave like a good ctozen
💯 agree. Why do they have to highlight Muslims when there were other religious groups too, who don’t beg for recognition!! They all fought for (or against) the empire as soldiers not as a religious entity . Come on 🤷🏻♀️
*Ask Misa Khan if he also feels proud that General Dyre slaughtered 1500+ Punjabis including women and toddlers in the crowd during Jalianwalabagh incident* ? His British army seargent did that. If a British Brian and raised in Britain participated in British army, that it is a whole lot different than say, an Indian, born and raised in India , to Indian parents fighting for the British who were an occupying force. That would be treasonous in my opinion. Let’s ask Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Chandrasekhar Azaad, Ram Prasad Bismil, and so many more martyrs what they think about this……
He jumped on the far right band wagon, that was so insulting and abusive. I keep hearing how London was built by Muslims etc. I have always respected the soldiers of the empire who chose to fight with our side/their side.
Indian Army is nearly 80 to 85 percent Hindu. Sikhs form nearly 15 to 19.5 percent. The proportion of all other religions is less than 0.5. That other religion includes few handful Muslims along with other minorities. So you can safely say negligible. And Muslims are second majority religions in India. You do the math 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
I was happy to see the war heros getting the recognition they deserved until the news reporter decided to start rubbing our nose in our own native nationality. I don’t have any problem with the communities featured in the article. Just with the condescending narrative that was dubbed over it.
Good on them fighting fascism and hitler. I dont know about the rest of the world, but it was hard times for the people who lived and fought through both world wars in Europe. And suffered the economic depression in between.
Also very interesting to see that someone from the "Allied" side of that time is still alive. I know this one top German Tiger tank commander that is still alive and served in the Eastern Russian front.
I say it again. I LOVE people who are truly honest and want all facts on the table nomatter it is facts we like or not. You are that type of person Lubna and for that I deply respect you. You profing or how it spells in english that you ewen want facts on the table that you not like when you critisice what some muslims do because you are a muslim yourself. Because of that I am sure you are a servant of the true God nomatter what religion you have.
Give the movie "Indigènes" ("Days of Glory" in EN) a try, it's on the french colonial troops from North Africa liberating France after the Provence landing. They were also called "Tirailleurs Sénégalais" even tho most of them didn't come from Senegal. France owes them a huge debt, just as Belgium with his Congolese Public Force that kept fighting all over Africa and even in Asia on the British side. In fact, they already saved our asses in WW1, we should have granted them independance after victory if we really were worthy of the ideals the Allies were fighting for but then we would probably have lost without them in WW2 when our ideals were even more worth fighting for in comparison to the other side's ...
Speaking of WW2, there's this topic I thought of that maybe you'd like to talk about. And that is, why did Japan forgive USA after the nuclear bombings. And that all seems good now. So why can't this amazing friendship and understanding not be a blueprint for today's warring countries that have no solution in sight. Or the more fun question is... What if the Japanese were Muslim ? Would there have been the same outcome 😊
The then Grand Mufti of Jerusalem during World War 11 , frequently broadcast for the Axis powers ; anti Allied and anti-Semitic propaganda He also had meetings with Adolf Hitler in Berlin
be assured there were muslims in the british army in ww2, there were a lot of other faiths from idia as well. be assured they did not just down are or whatever and do te five or seven a day. They certainly did not. They did not go round telling everybody Allah Akbar and this is our country now you have to accept our laws and customs. Indian soldiers defended India from Japan mainly. A very few were active in continental Europe
I don't agree it goes unacknowledged. We were taught in school about the Indian contribution during WWII. Full respect to them and a big thanks. Regardless of why they did it, they did it. Sadly, this history is not passed down in the Pakistani community. Proof of this is the year ISIS took off. More muslims from Britain ran off to join ISIS than applied to join the British military. Times have changed hey.
Good and balanced opinions. But my question is , what make anyone a good person or a bad person ? because “ the line “ becomes blurry from some of the instructions in the “ religions“, and without removing this bad instructions in the religion teaching , the suffering from this conflict will be there. As for the “bad apples “ it should be call out every day to highlight the problem So that we can irradiate such “ Bad apples “ I am with you on this one, even if you are a Muslim ✊

Sir, this son of Arab-American veterans thanks you for your service.
I wonder on a related note that if this moulvi realizes that these soldiers actually saved jews, would his tone and sentiments change?
As a ex soldier I give respect to anyone that serves But you are right lots of Arabs were in SS units.
All the thousands of young BRAVE English men who gave their lives…..and didn’t get to come home
I've got a good idea where the loyalty of a certain demographic would be if the UK went to war against a majority muslim country and had to get extra Soliders in on the front line if there was a shortage.
We saw it recently even with UK not going to war. Filistine after oct 7th retaliation.
Just like Jews who live in Britain but choose to go fight for Israel. We all know where their loyalties are.
There are memorials to the fallen from India in Singapore, El Alamein, Neuve-Chappelle, Heliopolis (Port Tewfik), Rangoon and at Patcham Down where 53 Indians,
who. sustained injuries in WW1 and were brought back to the UK but sadly died of those injuries in the hospital at Patcham Down are commemorated.
@@terrykeithfastnedge2278 totally agree.
The Pakistani Muslims were surely fighting for their homeland, quite rightly, not Britain.
Long live the King!
the old man in the video would have felt sorry if he understood what his next generations have done in uk.
I know that old man his children and grand children have set up businesses in the uk the company is called Adam’s they are wholesalers to the catering industry. They have created hundreds of jobs here he is extremely proud of his next generation you are simply looking at yourself in the mirror.
2.5 million Indians served in WW2.
They fought in Germany, France, Burma etc.
Yep my father was also in Burma he would have been 103 years old if he was still alive.
What about people who died of with Starvation in Bengal feminine of 1943...britishers financed this war with blood of Bengali's

Dear Lubna, Thank you for sharing this! BE SAFE! God bless you and your family!
Muslim soldiers were sent by Jinnah to later on negotiate for Pakistan with the Brits.
Just as Sikhs were sent to demand a Khalistan later after the war.
Jews too helped British to get what is known as Israel today.
Difference is Jews wanted their ancestral land and rest wanted to part Bharat into pieces.
Yes that was partition. People that could not live together were separated. So what? All were one people of one country but wanted to be separate
@@tasshah8509
Then all Muslims should have left Bharat. Also they lived together until the British used their favourite divide and rule policy.

A very fair and balanced assessment of the issue.
Segregating again, there were Punjabi Hindus, Punjabi Christians and Punjabi Sikhs who were a majority in the British Indian Army from Jelum Punjab too.
Again its Bradford and the Government have given them a small lollypop again. Facts say muslim soldiers in the British Indian Army did not win many medals where other soldiers from different communities in India did many while fighting in Europe, Iraq against the Germans and Japanese in Asia. These majority of Victoria Cross medal winners became leading figures later in the Indian Army, Sam Manekshaw one of them a great legend.
Theres a statue of Squadron Leader Pujji in Kent.
These people always like to gloat and make it about their religion, its so annoying.
Curious how they used him to attack the far right. What if he condemns illegal immigration and anti-assimilation multiculturalism? Would he be far right? Whatever the case, respect for those who sacrificed and defended our existence is the foundation for civilization. Respect and love for all vets. ✊🏽🇺🇸
The World would be a very different place, if it weren't for the brave Commonwealth contribution. However we shouldn't forget the Extremist Muslim Brotherhood fought for the Axis, as you rightly pointed out. It's a Memorial for all the Commonwealth Soldiers no matter what their Colour or Religion. Stay safe.
@@nickbutler7935 I'm Indian. We don't call it the Commonwealth. We call it the Losers Club. I.e. all of the countries that got robbed by Britain.

In 1945 another 600 000 recorded prisoners did not make it back home to their families.
Their bones and uniforms were washed up in catastrophic flooding about 3 years back sending the Government

Workhouses were deplorable, barbaric prisons they sent the poor to, simply for being poor. I was somewhat shook when I looked into this dark history. Workhouse victims descendants should be first in the queue if any reparations are to be handed out IMO.

those Russians had over 8 million in uniform over 30 000 tanks in 1941 and had the partizans trained
and organized in 1937....... their plan was to invade Western Europe once the Brits/French/Germans
had weakened each other... their 'revolutionary war' soon had to be renamed the 'great patriotic war'
They were caught out in the act of unloading heavy equipment when Germany invaded...hence all the prisoners..
The Soviet/Russian archives have been open to foreigners since Putin came to power...
We had an enemy in common that's the reality.. Russia was no friend to anyone back then.
Today, Germany can't do anything, she has no oil and she had 2 months of oil supplies to defeat Russia with..
It was Stalin who allowed Germany access to rich crude oil in Rumania by refusing Zhukov

Thanks to the department of lies omissions and propaganda!
Question; Who wrote our war history who created the narrative? Answer; Leftist academics/historians
alongside their Soviet communist 'allies'... and you can believe it all if you like.
All war documentaries are a form of political control and everyone who sees their first doc assumes

Just because some Pakistanis fought for Britain years ago doesn't mean the whole of Pakistan can come and live in Britain. Those Muslim soldiers are loyal to Britain. But not all Muslims are
I really appreciate and value how you add context and nuance to current events and situations
Thanks
I respect these veterans, this generation would not defend this country, but try to dominate it , at the expense of the veterans who fought for them
My only problem with this is that Pakistan didn’t exist.
Pakistan as a country has no locus standi tosay that it defended Britain during second world war where there was no such thing as Pakistan then.
Well said Lubna, very based!
Thanks for commenting
@@OrwellsHousecat Externally of course colonising powers pick their instruments strategically.
@ananthan8951
Sure, there are those who are ignorant, those who are believers, those who are followers, those responding to incentives, but there are also believers in the stated cause/cover story who's pragmatic solutions aren't taken up, there are followers who speak up when they're presented with conflicting commands, there are penalties as well as incentives.
Thanks Lubna for this great analysis. You are indeed a brilliant thinker. 👍
Glad you think so!
And the recognition goes to ALL of the fallen regardless of religion. So why do we have a muslim only memorial? Are there no muslim names on the other war memorials?
The image of the memorial showed symbols of multiple religions. So we have what the media is highlighting vs what the veterans association wants to convey.
This is how they are. always shove their religion down everyones throats.
WW2 Jordanian Muslims fought for Britain against Vichy serving Muslims in Iraq.
How many muslim or Indian people lived in Bradford, indeed the whole of the UK, pre and during war years.
Doesn't Pakistan have any memorials to the Pakistani men who fought fascism?
Lubna as always is correct, defending what is right from what is wrong!
All this talk of Far right? You ain’t seen nothing yet! Salute to your service, sir.

The point that people need to understand is that these men were Muslims and NOT ISLAMISTS.
True!
There is no difference.
@qasmb1546 so that old man wants to turn the UK into Saudi Arabia?! Exactly, yes there is a difference...but you knew that already didn't you.
Lubna, when you mentioned the muslims who were fighting for hitler, You should have talked about their leader "Amin Al Hussani" AKA "Grand Mufti of Jerusalem" from 1937.
You do know the British and Germans were all Christian’s.
6:41 It happens when people do mental gymnastics and not truthful.
When saddam invade Kuwait the British and the Americans were the one who was helping the Kuwait,
No. Muslims defended Arabia & Persia India (pre Pakistan) with British help. The Turks were with the bad-guys. They fired no shots in defense of Britain, unless literally standing between the enemy and Britains shores, that's for sure. Now as for British interests, that's another matter entirely.
Exactly
As with veterans of (what was then Indian) heritage, it was complicated. An American veteran told me how Turkish soldiers served alongside his unit in WW-II.
Dear Lubna Lord Jesus christ Loves you and protecting you from all sort of dangers 🙌
Come on 🤷🏻♀️
It’s because some people say Muslims haven’t done anything for the uk.
Your right, there was even a British SS unit fighting for Germany. It’s not so clear cut as the whole world was involved.
If this is representation in their own country, do you think they will volunteer for other countries 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Around a million soldiers fought in the Waffen SS, none of them German.
Very informative thanks lubna ji 👍

I was happy to see the war heros getting the recognition they deserved until the news reporter decided to start rubbing our nose in our own native nationality. I don’t have any problem with the communities featured in the article. Just with the condescending narrative that was dubbed over it.
Yes
India was a part of the British Empire, muslims and non-muslims from the sub-continent fought (and died) for the British Empire, not "Britain".
People from the Carribbean and Africa also contributed to war.
It was a waste

Good on them fighting fascism and hitler. I dont know about the rest of the world, but it was hard times for the people who lived and fought through both world wars in Europe. And suffered the economic depression in between.
Also very interesting to see that someone from the "Allied" side of that time is still alive. I know this one top German Tiger tank commander that is still alive and served in the Eastern Russian front.

They fought for britain....then why dont they go and defend Palestine now .. rather than protesting everywhere
Good and bad in all cultures ... respect to old Mr Khan !
The British armed forces are under staffed, maybe they show their loyalty now.
The then Grand Mufti of Jerusalem during World War 11 , frequently broadcast for the Axis powers ; anti Allied and anti-Semitic propaganda
He also had meetings with Adolf Hitler in Berlin
@Lubna.Candid Gorkhas from Nepal are still actively recruited in British Army.
My grandpa enlisted but chickened out in Burma.
be assured there were muslims in the british army in ww2, there were a lot of other faiths from idia as well. be assured they did not just down are or whatever and do te five or seven a day. They certainly did not. They did not go round telling everybody Allah Akbar and this is our country now you have to accept our laws and customs. This is what the once free english object to. we do object to the loss of our freedom of speech. We do object to the appalling decline of behavior standards of those selected for the british police forces and other non police forces with police authority.
Indian soldiers defended India from Japan mainly. A very few were active in continental Europe
They defended India against Japan. The fact that India was British territory back then has little to do with the war itself.
Very moving 😊
SIKHS History we all know… WARRIORS…
I bet if war on that scale happens again, the small boats will stop.
Good and balanced opinions.
But my question is , what make anyone a good person or a bad person ?
because “ the line “ becomes blurry from some of the instructions in the “ religions“, and without removing this bad instructions in the religion teaching , the suffering from this conflict will be there.
As for the “bad apples “ it should be call out every day to highlight the problem
So that we can irradiate such
“ Bad apples “

How many Muslims would defend the United Kingdom today in times of war? There are about 550 Muslims today in British Armed Forces
