Got to love the fact that the team task was really for just two people, so they gave Johnny some busy work, like telling a kid to find something you haven't hidden.
If you asked a ton of people to all make a bunch of different sounds, I imagine there are some historians who might eventually come up with "I am not a crook". There is not a SINGLE other person in the world who would use that as their FIRST noise.
johnny vegas is a potter. in fact, not just *a* potter - a pretty accomplished potter. his work is exhibited in a few museums and hehas appeared on several pottery tv shows
Yay, I’m glad you’re going to listen to the podcasts! Also, some insight into this season: it wasn’t filmed in front of an audience, so when they originally aired it, there was no clapping or cheering, which made it SO awkward. I believe they later recorded audience reaction and added the audio. Also, you’ll notice that the comedians sometimes get super giggly and almost punch-drunk nearly every episode, and that’s because it was the first time most of them had socialized outside of their homes in months. It’s like they’re getting high from finally being let out of isolation. 😂
@@AdamfromFWCI oh that's so awesome that you get to listen as you watch the season. Acaster is always a crack up, I love that he still complains about Rhod and the hula task 😆
I think with lockdowns they were limited in what they could get for their prize tasks. Which was why sometimes it seemed like they just brought in any old tat from home.
My favourite sort drink is probably Lilt. Big fan of crumpets too. I don't think Johnny Vegas ever trained to be a clown, but he did train to be a priest, so close enough lol. He is very artistic though. He makes pottery, and I've seen a couple of sculptures by him too.
Awesome to hear you are checking out the Taskmaster Podcast alongside Taskmaster. It's such a good podcast and also learn tons of bts stuff and get to hear old contestants thoughts on their time on taskmaster not to mention tons of laughs. Basically during new season airings theyd cover the newly released ep but between new seasons they'd do Taskmaster Rewind going through all the previous 9 seasons. They eventually finish Taskmaster Rewind around Series 14 and now just have new eps when new seasons arrive. Also fyi there is a sister official Taskmaster podcast called Taskmaster The People's Podcast which is also great but doesn't start up till Series 13.
My favourite drink, you ask? As a young lass growing up in the north of England, used to be Dandelion and Burdock, then as a teen it became Dr Pepper, but after a trip to Arizona, I landed on, and stuck with root beer. Not always easy to find here in Blighty, and usually a ludicrous price, but when I fancy a fizzy drink - root beer wins!
There is a soda called Jones that has a bright neon blue neon colored "berry lemonade" and it tastes like liquid SweetTarts 🤤🤤. Their green apple flavor is a close second. Sadly, I haven't been able to find either, or any other Jones soda, since I moved several years ago. PS: What people in the states call fizzy drinks varies wildly depending on where you go. It was "soda" where I grew up, but "pop" where I went to college. Everyone knew what I was talking about but everyone also knew I was from out of town. In some parts of the south, any fizzy soft drink is called "coke" no matter what it is.
My favourite soft drink has not existed for the past 15 years. It was called "Eleutherococcus with herbs" (from Russia) and it was incredible. But it did not survive market competition of Big Pepsi/Coca. So my now favourite soft drink is a good old Irn Bru.
I think Series 10 marks the first in terms of team pairing. Normally, the teams of two are incredibly wholesome, but Daisy and Richard clearly need couple's therapy, and I'm loving the new dynamic.
Does Bundaberg Ginger Beer count as a soft drink? If so then that is one of my top three. There is also a Southeast European Fanta variety with lemon and elderflower called Shokata and best of all Cockta (originally from Slovenia I think). I discovered it in Montenegro and it is Yugoslavia's answer to Coca Cola. That would have been my choice for best thing to put in your mouth. That or Żołądkowa Gorzka Bitter Orange and Caramel. That's vodka, though.
You should definitely check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, ,the acting was amazing.
@@littleflick nope, it’s quite distinct. Bundaberg does a very nice ginger beer though, which has replaced the root beer. Root beer tends to be sassafras, though often with a lot of vanilla. Bundaberg’s has some anise in it which is surprisingly nice.
@@littleflick So while they’re now commonly treated as the same thing, root beer is made from the sassafras tree root while sarsaparilla used the sarsaparilla vine, before it was banned for causing health issues.

My favorite soft drink is Dr. Pepper. This is one of my favorite episodes of this series. I wish I could’ve heard more of Johnny’s noises. (spoiler) Hang onto that “nil poin” meme; you’ll soon get a lot of use out of it.
You'll think I'm crazy but it's really very good piping hot. I discovered that by drinking some I'd left in the trunk of my car on a hot day but I later learned that it was actually a popular thing in like the 1960's. (Coke is quite good hot in my opinion too, but I don't think that was ever popular like hot Dr Popper was)
i hope you understand what it means that im missing euro 2024 highlights for this...ah lets not kid ourselves you are australian you have no possible way of knowing...how do i explain this in adam speak....i am missing the Gregory James Bownds being beat up by a Puteketeke while eating a chocolate fish

Except for johnny vegas
The Richard and Daisy pairing is a gift that keeps on giving tbh
Johnny Vegas has a degree in Art and Ceramics. He is a very talented artist and potter.
And, as it turns out, a deeply profound poet
The Richard and Daisy team dynamic is such a sight to behold.

Baked Alaska is cakes topped with ice cream and covered in toasted merangue, it’s something I only ever really see on bake-off
Used to have baked Alaska here in the UK, I swear it was just so my dad could play with the blow-torch!

Daisy in that hoops task was when she became my absolute favourite
Cherry Coke (from Coke-Cola), Fentimans Dandelion and Burdock, and Fentimans Cherry Cola are my favourite soft/fizzy drinks.

I've not had Dandelion and Burdock in years. I remember enjoying it. Must find it again.
covid doesnt effect the tasks too badly, but it does effect the studio banter prety noticably unfortunatly.

Taskmaster: The Podcast? The TMP? That should be a fun bonus.
Favorite soda has to be the root beer that Rouge River Brewery made for a short time. Best soft drink ever.
You may not move the hoops ... or the fishbowls.

comment for the algorithm! just coca cola. original, no gimmicks. it used to be pepsi, but honestly basic coke is genuinely really nice.
Irn Bru all the way, but most recently, they've been doing these limited edition flavours, and the Wild Berry Slushie Irn Bru is something else 😮

Goya Ginger Beer.
