    This is more of a “no nonsense” video-concise, filled with useful tips, and motivating…expertly done! As are some of your other recent videos. Thanks for putting out this great content (on both your channels). I look forward to them. Keep it up!

    Preach!! What you describe in this video is a 100% the easiest and also the most successful way to lose weight, at least it was for me. March 2021 I weighed 358 pounds and set the goal to trim down to 220 pounds. Most people said it was unrealistic. I started to significantly cut my calorie intake and just went for walks in the park. Now, February 20 2022, I’m at 230 pounds. I can’t tell you how different I feel.
    It’s doable and technically so easy and straight forward.
    Keep up what you are doing! I love your new channel too

    Great video NALF! I thought you were looking more toned up recently. From personal experience I can confirm that all your tips are the best way to get into much better shape. I think stress is related to weight simply because people tend to binge more when they're stressed out. Also, people generally forget many of the things they eat and drink during the day - but a food diary listing their intake can really help illustrate the difference between their memory and reality.

    Cutting out soda and implementing more cardio is how I got to my leanest for my vacation to the Florida Keys. Every mile we cover on our feet is ~100 calories burned (regardless of how fast) so you don’t need to run to cut. Great tips.

    • @ajeettv
      @ajeettv 3 роки тому +1

      you're right, you don't need to run but if you can there is no reason not to. your cardiovascular system will thank you, you need less time for more miles and you burn even more kcal per mile compared to walking.

    • @Joe-ok8ql
      @Joe-ok8ql 3 роки тому +1

      @@ajeettv It’s unnecessary in the grand scheme of things. Just walking is all you need. The high impact from running isn’t worth the faster mile for many people.

    Don’t forget high intensity interval training (HIIT) which “burns” body fat more effectively than long cardio sessions. Fully agree with you on not consuming empty calories via sugary drinks whether they be chai lattes or fruit juices. Also for most people without any health issues, intermittent fasting is wonderful for gaining an understanding of mindful eating, real hunger and appetite control, as oppose mindless eating or following the invented convention of 3 square meals a day.

    • @nalfsense
      @nalfsense  3 роки тому +2

      Agreed! I think HIIT and intermittent fasting is actually my favorite combo. And like you said, intermittent fasting helps you really be mindful and enjoy the food you are eating.

      In my opinion HIIT is for athletes training and not for average fat loss. Most people never hit 500+watts on a bicycle or sprints with the effort that counts as an high intensity intervall. walking is a nice advice and it doesn´t reduce NEAT after the activity.

    Fun new project.
    I'm a walking afficionado too. Stress plays a huge role in regulating body fat and weight in general. When we're stressed, the adrenal glands pump out cortisol all the time, which activates our fight or flight response and starves our cells. Our bodies can't keep up with the insulin demand and send out false hunger signals. We start craving high calorie foods, gain weight, then stress again about our newly-gained weight...It's a vicious cycle. An oversimplification of a supremely complex process, but the conclusion is - don't run, walk. Cardio puts a lot of additional stress on our already overstressed bodies.

    I've lost 70 lbs since 2019. I did intermittent fasting and lap swimming to lose it. Unfortunately my local pool closed during the first round of COVID restrictions and has never reopened. Still, I've been able to maintain it with a brisk half hour walk each day. The two things I can't seem to manage are better sleep and weight training. I just can't sleep well. I'm lucky to get six hours a night. Been like that most of my adult life. I also hate working out in a gym I mean I despise it. I've tried to force myself to several times and might manage for a month or so and then I slowly stop. You do what you can. I'm not at my optimal fitness level, but I'm still quite healthy according to my last physical.

    I have the metabolism of a sloth. In 6 months I've lost 50 lbs. I'm at 1000 calories a day. if I have more than 1400, I gain weight. I exercise less than 1 hour a day mostly step programs or stair stepper. I can't do weights, I have issues with my arms because of my MS. I have no core since I've had 8 abdominal surgeries, so I stick mostly my leg muscles. I finally went to a doctor to manage weight since at 65 I'm not going to go through this again. It keeps you honest and on track. I packed on the pounds because of my cancer and all the subsequent surgeries. People just want the easy and quick solution. I agree about the liquid component. My cousin had gastric sleeve and takes ozempic and has lost 100. She did stall for a while because of liquid consumption. So if an old lady with MS and a history of cancer can do it, then others can as well.

    good job, everything you said is perfect, really goes against the "industry", and i finally understand how (why?) weight training helps reduce body fat, good job. i just read an article about "10,000 steps", where the idea came from, etc. written by someone who i think was trying to feel better about not walking 10,000 steps (they settled on 7500 steps). my take on walking is count the steps if'n you want to but try to maximize the distance. in other words, walk as much as you can, when you can. i try to walk late in the evening which helps suppress my food addiction!!!🤣🤣🤣

    A bit to early for the spring "marronnier" losing weight !
    Marronnier (horse chestnut tree, Rosskastanie) is a media word in France for a thema that come every year at the same time, like the trees losing their leaves in fall.
    I have also a lot of weight to lose, thanks Corona ! Before was losing weight slowly but regularly, and was walking a bit, only 3000 steps was my goal everyday. But Corona stop that and return to the start !
    Yesterday the lungs specialist advised me to walk a bit in the forest, no need to wear a mask and less pollution, and breathe ! "Try to lose weight but easier to say than to achieve " ! not a doctor Yapluka ( il n'y a plus qu'à = there is only )
    But I still have some Weight watchers habits, "don't drink fruit, eat it" , drink water, sleep enough ( difficult)... ,choose well protein, carbo with low impact, vegetables are your friends, avoid sugar ( not so difficult in fact for the sugar ) and false sugar...

    Here is why stress is so important (put very short and simple): stress kicks in your "fight or flight" mode, which activates stress hormones. These hormones (indirectly) suppress the ability of your body to burn fat. That is the same reasons why (sugar free) energy drinks or cortisol-medicamentation (cortison is a stress hormone) "make" you gain weight - they suppress your ability to burn fat. That is ofc put very simple, if you would like to know all the details or make a video about it, feel free to contact me.
    Also from a nutrition coach and trainer perspective: you explained it well and easy to digest (pun intended) 🙂, there are so many crappy YT advices about nutrition and training, so this was refreshing.

    how to get in better shape and be healthier or just how to look better/ healthier/ more athletic and feel better...now if you want to actually become healthier, try avoiding all toxins such as the plastics in your home that interfere with your hormone system (A german familiy actually managed replacing as much as possible with wooden parts and chemists in the lab could hardly believe the low levels of nano plastic in the family's blood compared to the before test.. Try to find pesticide-free veggies and or fruit (good luck), pesticides that can be the cause of many allergies towards lectins and can lead to leaky gut syndrome as well, or just cancer. I don't know if Knoppers only had palm oil in it or also the very toxic E410 pesticide, but since I don't eat that shit, I won't have to look at the ingredient list. Pfoa---Teflon pans...tap water...electro smog. Make up... It certainly is nice to be and look athletic though. That was a rather long comment, sorry, ey.
