When you commented on the sandwich I was thinking "that must be what the dog was thinking when he/she bit you". Then you said "that's what she said" and I laughed. Thank goodness it didn't get infected and you were okay. Just goes to show you are a wonderful person when you think more of the safety of the pup who took a bite than your own needs.
Yea dogs are impulsive and don’t have time to think. They react. He bit me but I know he wasn’t vicious , just excited

Alabama white sauce is usually a little bit of mayo, apple cider vinegar, horseradish, honey and ground black pepper. Recipes vary, but that what we did at the Alabama BBQ I worked at

In Texas if the brisket requires a sauce it’s to dry, the “pit master” should seek another line or work.
You should get the Try channel to buy a simple smoker, and try out recipes from all over. I smoke everything with hardwood charcoal. Brisket, ribs, drum sticks, jerky of all kinds.
I don’t actually do videos on the try channel anymore. But that does sound delicious 🤤

Kinda late, but if you come to Texas, Austin, the smoke pit is the best. You really don’t need any sauces if the meat is seasoned correctly. Love your videos!

Smokin D's in St Augustine is awesome. I love going there on Wednesdays for the wet Wednesday. Out of this world good. It's much better when the old guy is there and not his son. The baked beans are outstanding.
Have you tried woodpeckers yet ??? I lived in st augustine for 3 years and never got to try it.

The Alabama White Sauce is really intended for chicken. Y'all do as you wish, but vinegar/mustard/sweet BBQ sauce would be much better on brisket.

As someone from Texas who has eaten plenty of nationally ranked Brisket, and judged Brisket at competitions, literally no one says that. Horseradish on Brisket, disgusting!! A properly smoked brisket doesn't need sauce if it has rhe proper cook and smoke profile, proof that NC BBQ is inferior since they lather it with sauce to give it the flavor it doesn't already have by smoking it. That is why Texas BBQ is simply better than NC BBQ.

If you're still in St. Augustine area stop by Smokin D's BBQ. A guy used to have a BBQ food truck he parked out there near where the water comes up to the fence. At the end of the day he would throw all of his scraps into the water. If you throw any meat over the fence now huge alligator snapping turtles come up and feast.

I don't know when I had brisket last, but that sandwich looked yummy. Where I live, the trucks are automated - they pick up the cans or large bins themselves. The municipality gives you a trash can that the truck can pick up. A guy follows around in case there's an issue, but nobody is throwing trash in the truck like that guy. I'm sorry you got bit.
My city has automated trash trucks as well, and if it ain't in the can, it's not getting picked up by hand and tossed in the truck. Same goes for the recycling cans.

Gas Station & bbq brisket sandwich are tiny! If I only got 4 strips of brisket anywhere in the south, I would walk away.

So, Irish J, you have cows in Ireland. What do you do with the part of the cow we Yanks call brisket? Jewish people cook brisket. Not like this, but they have traditions around that cut of beef. Smoking meat is not all that hard. The smoking rig can be pretty simple. Mine is just a split barrel cooker with a side box for the fire. You can straight grill on it if you want also. For the smoking wood, I think hickory and mesquite are new world trees. But you have oak, apple, and cherry. All totally legit. You could do this at home.

The audience will be half _baked,_ but Irish Jesus and the Orchestra will be bringin' the _heat_ and burnin' down the _house._

Brother if you think that Circle K was big you should check out the Buc-ee's gas station they just built some one in St Augustine and one in Daytona let's just say this it has its own barbecue restaurant inside as well as anything you can think of not to mention the fact that there are over 100 gas pumps it's quite the sight

Sorry you got bit. Dog bites can be very bad as their saliva is full of bacteria that is harmful to humans. Glad nothing bad happened, must be those Jesus Genes lol! I'm with you, brisket is the best! The way you had it is perfect (thin slices.) I've been VERY disappointed at chopped brisket in tacos and brisket made into burgers. Just gimme the slices! There are a lot of regional style bbq sauces. White is Alabama style. Yellow (mustard based) is South Carolina style. North Carolina BBQ sauce is typically just called Carolina Style and is an orangey color (you'd love that) and more vinegary both in look and taste. Most are familiar with the thick red bbq sauce, but even those have differences (such as hickory smoke flavor, brown sugar, spicy, and others.) Thanks for the video, even if the spinning around and around and around at the RV park made me dizzy, lol! Sláinte! ~Be Blessed

I haven't seen a manned garbage truck like that in decades. The ones that we have in my city have the hydraulic lift arms and only need one driver to operate the trucks.

Those kind of trucks are usually for dumpsters or cities only. Out in the suburbs the localities don't usually supply the trash cans so people buy their own or put the trash out in bags/piles depending on what it is.

I live in the suburbs of my Alabama city and our garbage trucks use hydraulic claw-like arms to grasp the can, lift, dump, and place back on the ground. The driver operates the entire thing. Also, our cans are provided. We also have a separate crane truck that comes around to pick up leaf bags, lumber, etc.

What do they do with brisket in Ireland? It's a pretty big piece of meat. Do they make it into corned beef, or sell it in some other country? It wouldn't make sense to just toss it out.
That was an old-fashioned garbage truck. Where I live (in the San Francisco Bay Area), all of the trash goes into a container that you put out at the curb, and the truck has an arm that lifts the container and dumps the contents into the top of the truck. The trucks don't have the compacter in the back. It's more efficient, quieter, easier on the trash collectors, and probably safer.
Lol it’s a lot of soda 😂 and the dog bit me with excitement so it was an accident but it hurt.
And I don’t know what they do with the part of the animal that’s the brisket but we don’t have it as a dish here for some reason.

@@Irish-Jesus Brisket is used in all sorts of ways! I like to put mine in a crock pot and let it go on slow for 8 hours until super tender! I dust it with garlic powder and onion powder then top with harissa sauce then cook.

Hubby didn't want to get the dog in trouble but ended up with a crush injury!! It's not just rabies to worry about. Even worse. CAT Scratch Fever is not just a song. Use hand sanitizer or a bit of bleach on mossie bites. Or heat a spoon and place on bite asap. It helps kill the enzymes that causes the itching.

if the brisket was only cooked in five hours, it's a poor brisket. the smoke ring happens when the meat isn't brought up to temp before being smoked. that means that outer ring is the part most exposed to the heat and smoke while the rest of the meat comes to temp instead of allowing the smoke to penetrate all through the meat. also, if they want you to sauce the brisket, it's a poor brisket.
