I really needed these reminders. It’s so easy to get sucked back into the narcissist’s toxicity. This made me realize that when a narcissist in my life is feeling threatened by me, I am probably doing something right. As in I should focus more on the boundary I am setting than their reaction to it. Me being in my power and alignment is threatening them, which speaks volumes about who they truly are.

Thank you for the video. Although, growing up with a narcissitic mother, i have the feeling I will never heal. This behaviour is all I know, all my friends were narcs as a result too, my whole life. She just seemed too powerful for me as a child, an like a god. She abused me for even having the thought that she might be wrong.

The hardest part is facing the covert narcissist in me...Thinking that's all you know and realize you're a mixture of it....This is why all you needed to learn was in kindergarten. Being kind to others while tending to yours.
D did that all the time! He questioned my "values" and made them wrong and me unrighteous!

I moved to a small town and was taken "under the wing" of a local/friend who was really the center of a social circle. I had a lot of fun, the 1st couple of years, but found myself catering to her wants/needs. All of my spare time was consumed. I own my part in that. Had to look at that 1st. The end, however, came after I was ghosted out of a birthday party which I was originally asked to coordinate. Ghosting preceded this event, but this was all I needed. Never spoke to her since then...until I ran into her hiking. Such a superficial conversation. I expected nothing more.

This was the dynamic between my ex and i. She was an onlyfans girl and single mom, completely obsessed with vanity and social media, as well as addicted to pain relievers. She was good at making me believe I was the problem and completely knocked my nervous system out of wack for so long, even after she ghosted me after I moved her to another city. I didn't make any attempts at reconnecting, I was completely drained.
Good for you. It takes quite some time to detox from them.

It's amazing what can become a threat, it starts with friends, jobs, promotions even your pets. Anything that gives you joy or takes your attention away from them.
Firmly firmly put your attention back on yourselfs.

I was off sick, my ex would call me to check in but he would literally just say I'm calling to see how you are and then take no interest in my reply, not respond to anything I had said, and then talk about himself for twenty minutes. And then he would be (or acted?) really confused and annoyed that I was upset that he had not only gone out his way to demonstrate he didn't care but I had ended up offering him support. Of course to him and others he was the amazing bf taking time out of his only break in his super busy day 🙄 Thank you for your work 🙏🏼
Just go no contact.....they will not change and not go to therapy.....my narc also was bisexual and I never knew until the end....and he lied.....

My husband wants me to load the dishwasher his way. And I want to do it my way. I accept his way if he loads the dishwasher. Who is the narc here? I keep telling him why can’t we just accept each other for our way of doing things. If we can’t with an effing dishwasher, imagine what else in this life. Ridiculous really but somehow I want it to work. I must be the idiot
