@@RaitisRides Yup I still love how it looks & the style. Pricing is still unknown but this is a dandy. Maybe there should be a Naturally Aspirated 4 Cylinder gas engine!
I know people trash talk about CVT, but I personally love it. I still have a 2007 with 167k miles, original CVT. You just have to change the fluid more often. It should be fine.
Joe, you showcased this perfectly, thank you! To Nissan: I stopped buying your cars after the 2003 Maxima as everything went downhill from there. You have revived the company and this new model is truly a breath of fresh air. I'm impressed with many aspects of this new offering and I hope to see it continue down the line!!!
They designs suck on the Sedans. They need more or a aggressive look to them not this ol box type style like forever they been putting out we need that curved aggressive style with the power of that engine
Only thing im bothered with (and im probably one of very few on this) is that lower corner area on the front would have been amazing for fog lights, especially on higher trims. Beyond that, looks pretty, thank god for no CVT.
boy are we glad that nissan doesnt have to worry about their seats and interior, since they have bigger things to worry about - like trying to survive the next 12 months.
I have been waiting for this vehicle to come out for the longest. This will be my 4th Murano. I can't wait to see it in person. By the way, the reviewer is doing an amazing job with the walk through.
Nissan is rolling! Awesome redesign Nissan. Wishing you kept the v6, but at least it’s a 9 speed automatic. According to Nissan a spare is an available option which is 1/2 zonk.
Well Nissan did a great job in this re-introduction of the Murano (statically speaking). I love the bulging arches on the rear quarter panels. The tucking in of the rear wiper is icing on the cake ( can’t understand how the likes of Porsche, BMW, Mercedes etc haven’t figured this out while asking the consumer for more money?). Nissan should be given kudos on the execution of the interior design also. Just look how they integrated the phablet instrument cluster and MMI screen into the dash design. Love the dash brow coming over the top of the instrument cluster to ward off sun glare and keeping it tidy. Again they seem to have paid great attention to detail by including the right degree of redundant climate controls and good seating space. In the rear you can already see that seat comfort will be great. LOOK AT HOW SQUARE Joes legs are supported in the architecture of the rear seat layout. That’s how comfort starts by properly supporting the body. Now if the vehicle drives 85% of the way it looks and the attention to detail in design then I suspect Nissan has an instant winner on its hands
C’mon Nissan! This is looking pretty hot. If they would’ve kept the V6 this would’ve been a 10/10 for me, but I realize times are changing. Still amazed and happy to see Nissan making a comeback, this looks very promising!
Omg…they finally did it! I can’t believe it’s actually redesigned. I just rented one of these last month and the Murano is a very smooth and quiet SUV with comfortable seats. It’s unfortunate they’ve ditched the 3.5 V6…I think one of the best deals on the market will be the outgoing model…if you’re not too worried about having an old design.
That black bar in the front kind of reminds me of a 300ZX something about it. This is the first Murano I actually like, it looks really fun, has a bold stance.
I've been waiting on the new Murano. Nissan definitely stepped it up with this one. The front may grow on me, but I need to see it in some other colors. Can't wait to see this is person.
I am a Nissan fan and the Murano has always been my favorite. Nissan knocked this out of park! Awesome job Nissan! Thanks for taking my favorite suv to the next level.
Another great review Joe and Lori! Nissan stepped it up. Remember the Murano convertible? Nice to have 2 controller options (screen and buttons). Would be nice to have a shelf above the glove box. Every car needs the extra 3 inches!
Hands down, this is the most handsome the Murano has ever been. I never had an issue with the design of the Murano throughout its previous 3 generations and I always found it to be a standout amongst the sea of generic 2-row midsize SUVs, but I can understand why people might stray away from it.
Raiti, I've owned 3 of these! Cool low key pleasing automobile. Glad to see they're not giving up on it. But honestly, this may be the best appearance iteration but why'd ya have to cut the power? (Unless you're cutting the regular to bring us a NISMO shortly)!!!!!! Cutting the power by nearly 30, ya gotta have a NISMO baking in the oven because as cool as you've updated it, 240 hp just not gonna cut it! As always, AWESOME review! Keep it up Brother! ✌🏽❤️✊🏽
This is simply awesome. 1) I will like to see a different wheel design, this one on it seems to look too clunky 2) The gloss black on the steering control buttons will surely constantly show fingerprints, if it can be changed, that will be nice All in all, it's an awesome design 👍💯
if they combined the headlight housing with the drls and the grille instead of leaving a big blank space in between them, i think this car would look so much better
I've been waiting on this redesigned murano. It has checked all the boxes for me. The price is what i wait for. Thank you for the show of the redesigned murano. Going to definitely going to buy .
I'm very envious of you Joe in the fact that you guys have a bumper crop of Candy Corn growing this year. We lost all of ours due to a bad drought this Summer. The positive out of it though is the fact that all of our Squirrel population has become so fat and slow that eradicating them is now MUCH easier!
Thanks for the video. Looks better than the photos, which make the new model look a little generic. Still missing super bold design like the outgoing model. I’ll still get one and I’m sure I’ll love it though. Driving Muranos since 2004.
I’ve had two Murano’s and this is by far the best looking. So glad they kept the most comfortable seats in the segment. I’ve always loved the V6 so I would have to drive it to see. Glad they got rid of the CVT.
This looks great. Pathfinder is doing well the Frontier is still rolling along now this. Nissan is quite possibly on their way back. Oh yeah and no cvt
Glad they took a page out from Mercedes with the dash and integrated digital screens the best way to do digital screens. Very uniquely/cool haptic buttons for the AC controls too.

I have to admit they nailed this update and everything looks great. Heated, ventilated and messaged driver & passenger seats are impressive. If they can keep it at $50K fully loaded, they can move units again.
For the kids watching now, it's hard to describe just how important the 1st (and 2nd) generation Murano was, along with its luxury Infiniti FX sibling. Back then, these were among the earliest crossovers - and really about THE first to follow the modern format of being totally road-focused - no off-road pretentions, really large wheels on low profile tires, tidy proportions, etc. These came out when Camrys/Accords far outsold Rav4's and Pilots, and SUV hadn't yet fully found themselves as being built as family cars for the street. The Murano changed all that. This new one is clean and cool, but the market is now so much more saturated - and so I do fear this will continue to be forgotten.
Now all nissan needs to do is make the Altima and sentra hybrid's with redesigns and bring the maxima back with a hybrid v6 but since the maxima and murano usually had the same front end that means we could be seeing a teaser of the new maxima 👀
As a five time Nissan owner (280ZX, CX7, Murano, Titan and Infinity M35) there is nothing new or revolutionary here to bring me back to the brand. Looks more Hyundai in the front and rear. The interior is attractive but the engine, MPGs and performance (read: lack of) leaves me wanting for more considering the cost and competition.

I agree on the Maxima, had a 2004 SE, nothing but problems, was not expecting that from Nissan and never considered one since then.
Nissan has been perfecting a lot of their cars lately. It really doesn’t have that cheap look anymore. I really loved the Ariya and the new Z.
